Emma Roberts

It seems like every day there's a new designer x celebrity collaboration, but less ubiquitous are the moments when a star takes the backseat and serves as the creative inspiration and, in return, the promotional vehicle for a line or an individual piece. Such is the case with Emma Roberts and the limited edition sunglasses Nanette Lepore designed for her. Last night was the official launch of the Emma-inspired shades, and Roberts, Lepore, and Vogue Eyewear celebrated in style with an intimate party on the VIP floor of the 5th Avenue Sunglass Hut. (Yes, that's a thing that exists, and we have the pictures to prove it.) We caught up with Emma herself to get her reaction to the finished product and serving as Nanette's design inspiration.

Remember way back when we told you about Jason Schwartzman's collection of thick-rimmed plastic glasses for online retailer Lookmatic? Now it's Aubrey Plaza's turn to try her hand at design! The Parks and Recreation star is the latest of the brand's creative "visionaries" series and we COULDN'T be more thrilled. The actress, Miu Miu muse, and Bust's most recent cover girl has just rolled out a trio of frames inspired by none other than her grandmother, Maxine. With tortoise, gray, and pale blue colorways, the sleek acetate style has a bareeely there cat-eye curve and hopscotches the line between nerdy and cool.

As if the Lil Wayne-designed label Trukfit weren't enough of a music-meets-fashion collision in itself, Weezy and his streetwear brand have teamed up with Beats by Dr. Dre for a pair of collaboration headphones. That's right, folks. Welcome into the world a piece of music hardware already backed by one rapper/producer and made extra stylish with the help of another emcee's FASHION label. Even better? We spotted them this weekend in the hands of THE Justin Bieber on his Instagram feed. Layers upon layers of MTV Style kryptonite right thurr.

Snooki Sunglasses

We can't BELIEVE it's already been a year since Snooki debuted her first-ever sunglasses collection, and today the Jersey Shore girl continues her quest for total eyewear world domination (see: those spring shades that sold out in less than 24 hours) by releasing yet another set of affordable sunnies. Last night she tweeted, "Snooks shades" with an Instagram picture (above) showin' off her latest eyewear, and we have to admit that we were a little surprised by her specs! These super-dark aviators are definitely a deviation from her bold animal print or bright rhinestone-studded Snooki by Nicole Polizzi pieces, but perhaps she went a little more vampy thanks to a little holiday called "Halloween" coming up.

Odd Future Snap Case for Incase.
Photo: via Incase

If you were lucky enough to hit up Odd Future's inaugural Carnival in Los Angeles, then you're probably ahead of the game. We're seriously jealous of you, because that means you already snagged the awesome iPhone cases that the OFWGKTA crew debuted at the concert-meets- amusement park-meets-massive party a few weeks ago. Designed in conjunction with Incase, the trio of feline-themed covers first made their appearance a few weeks back and are basically THE perfect addition to the ever-growing list of Golf Wang merch we're currently lusting after. But if you missed your shot to snag one in person, we've got good news for you. The gang's snap cases have officially hit the interwebs, and we for one are embarrassingly excited about it. First of all, it's Odd Future. Second of all, they're covered in CATS! Does it really get any better than that? Nah, we don't think so...

Jennifer Lawrence

With her bow and arrow-wielding Katniss cred AND her simultaneous rise as fashion's newest darling, there aren't many people who can hopscotch between glamour and The Hunger Games like Jennifer Lawrence. Sure, we all know that she's got a killer instinct (literally) as the star of the blockbuster action franchise. But within the last few months the actress has also graced the covers of British VOGUE, W, and landed a super high fashion spread in VOGUE, proving that maybe she really CAN do it all. And now she's taking it one step further, as the latest muse for Christian Dior. This morning WWD reported that the 22-year-old has been named the newest face for the label's Miss Dior handbags, an honor previously held by fellow stars like Mila Kunis and Marion Cotillard.

Lady Gaga Gold Accessories Fame Fragrance

As Lady Gaga continues to promote her Fame fragrance all across the globe, she also continues to take this whole dress-like-the-perfume-bottle-and-wear-strictly-black-and-gold aesthetic VERY. SERIOUSLY. Yesterday when Mother Monster was at a launch event in London, she wore—you guessed it—only black and gold, but sported THE most insane accessories we have ever seen. And we're not exaggerating here—she wore a gold claw, people. A gold CLAW. After she stepped out of her incredibly ornate horse-drawn gold carriage (yes, that actually happened), we peeped her hands, and they were completely covered in gold adornments. We're talking jewels, chains, even a honey bee—the whole bit. I mean, just a couple months ago we were debating over whether wearing a talon on your fingertips was over the top and then, well, this happens. *shrugs* Gaga has officially put us in our place.

Rihanna clutches Mario Testino's "In Your Face" photography book.
Photo: Getty Images

Essentially, what's happening here is Rihanna, non-verbally, saying, "Alright, Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams. I see your book clutches, and I raise you... clutching an ACTUAL BOOK... And an unreleased one at THAT!" Then she sprinkles all the chips in the middle of the table and fireworks explode behind her. BLADOW! *soft crackle of fizzling out pyrotechnics* Okay, soooo that may have been a 100% surmised situation, but can't you just imagine it happening? And all of it topped off with a tweet from Rihanna punctuated with "#ph***yohandbags" or something similar (also, uncensored)?? *shrugs* Maybe it's just us. Regardless, it brings up a great question: could Rihanna's book-clutching look out-pace the quirky-cute book clutch steez we've grown to love? We take a closer look.

Carly Rae Repsen

Pencil and paper out, guys, we've got a pop quiz for you: What do Lana Del Rey, Alexa Chung, and Carly Rae Jepsen have in common? No, we're not talking about great hair or rad style (although that's true, too). Turns out all three ladies are minted members of the Namesake Handbag Club™. Ahem, if you haven't heard of this super exclusive establishment YET, think of it as the ultimate way to take your fashion muse status to the next level. Mulberry originally debuted the "Alexa" bag last year, named after the Brit icon and inspired by her preppy-tomboyish personal style. It shot to "It" bag status pretty much immediately (despite its cool $1,350 price tag), with fellow celebs like Nikki Reed, Ellie Goulding and Florence Welch all sporting the luxe leather carryall. But Alexa's not the only one with her own Mulberry- Lana Del Ray snagged the honors of a "Lana" bag courtesy of the U.K. brand earlier this year, too. Now it's Carly Rae Jepsen's turn to claim bragging rights, thanks to a white leather "Carly" clutch inspired by the "Call Me Maybe" singer herself.

Topshop Hair Spikes

Topshop sells hair spikes.
Photo: Courtesy of Topshop

As a species, we put a lot of weird stuff in our hair. Sprays and oils and chemicals. Braiding in ribbons and gluing in more hair. Also, remember butterfly clips? Let's all just take a gender-wide facepalm on that one, agreed? And while we're at it, these "spike stud swirls" from Topshop? They might warrant a little self-reflection, too. Color me judgmental or, you know, whatever you want given the anonymity of the interwebz, but I'm just not seeing it. Yet! I'm very thinly spined (near amphibious, really!) and can definitely be swayed. Perhaps a customer review? Or a photo? Or an at-home tutorial? I'm open to suggestions, but I'm also compelled to stand on my soapbox and broadcast that this hair accessory + me is not a love-at-first-sight kinda deal.

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
