Litter makes faux facial hair jewelry.

Litter may have only been founded in 2009, but their green status doesn't mean we're not already up on the envelope-pushing jewelry duo. Sisters Rachael and Mackenzie are known for pumping out unorthodox accessories like body chains and thumb holsters, and with Coachella right around the corner, it's no wonder Litter is bubbling up to the top of everyone's minds. If we had our druthers, we'd rock this cold shoulder and garter chain, like, every day. They're definitely not cheap (as they shouldn't be, hello, they're super unique!), so we have to reign in our object-lust before piling the entire collection into our online carts. And *achem* inventive as they may be, chief among the objects to get the discerning side-eye are Litter's various iterations of facial hair jewelry.

Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani

Katy Perry wears bindi visiting India and Gwen Stefani wears bindi to the 1998 VMAs.

We've felt the subtle breeze of a '90s revival in the air for a few seasons now, but never has its presence been so ubiquitous as now. From jumpsuits and chokers to waist-tied flannel shirts and now, FACE JEWELRY à la Katy Perry's bindi this week, we're pretty sure the resurgence of the dawn of the Information Age has officially reached full-steam. I mean, we know Katy was visiting India where bindis are commonly worn regardless of the era or fashion statement, but seeing her rocking it with her blue hair took us back to a young Gwen Stefani circa 1998 No Doubt. We saw a bit more of an exaggerated version late last year when both Ke$ha and Lady Gaga sported something we affectionately deemed "cupcake face", but face jewelry was particularly unavoidable on the Fall/Winter 2012 runways.

Accessories from Luv Aj's Heavy Metal Lover collection.
Photo: Courtesy of Luv Aj

If there's one name you need to get to know in the world of accessories, it's Amanda Thomas of Luv Aj. The LA-based designer creates heavy metal (literally) jewelry that has been worn and loved by everyone from Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea to Rachel Bilson and Vanessa Hudgens. The mix n' match pieces are made of both pristine and worn-looking antique metals and include everything from criss-crossed studs, layered necklaces, and giant perforated cuffs to body chains and turbans. To put it mildly, these are accessories for your inner badass annnnd we pretty much want every single piece in the collection. Thus, we spoke to Thomas about her accessory heroes, how she sold her first collection in college, and just how to wear a body chain.

2NE1

Hair cones as seen on 2NE1 are now available at ASOS.
Photo: Getty Images/Courtesy of ASOS

Look, anyone can have their favorite 2NE1 member, but if you ask me Dara's the most awesome. Especially in terms of style. I know it's not a contest, but there's just something so noisy and interesting about the way she throws a GANG of colors and patterns together, and because she's so whippet-thin her oversized clothes take up interesting amounts of space on her slight frame. It just reminds me of if a blowfish got dressed after watching a TON of TLC videos circa when Cross Colours was cool (aka the "What About Your Friends" video era. TOTAL CUHLASSIC, look it up if you're too young to be up on it). Basically she's got swag for days.

ANYWAY, when I interviewed them during their first U.S. performance I became completely smitten with the giant contraption on Dara's head. I thought she looked just like Daisy-Head Mayzie and 100 percent beautiful. WAAAAAAAAANT. Especially since stick-straight, long, luxurious ponytails are that HOT ISH (hullo, Katy Perry at the KCAs or Iggy Azealia all the time) and especially-est because I have long hair also and believe in my heart that if I hoisted it all up in a big gold hair conical thing that it will haul all my wrinkles to the tippy-top of my head and away from sight. Basically, I am going to get a couple of these jams from ASOS and stack them and see if it works and if I look awesome (I will probably only do, like, two of them and not be as extreme as Dara's), OR I will just return all of them because I look ridiculous and buy some creams and elixirs made from placenta for a jillion dollars to slather on my face BECAUSE IT'S FROM FRANCE and because I am vain. Here are some other eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeenteresting baubles that carry the same idea. If you buy one, please come back and we can share notes.

Clear lens sunglasses by Joia.
Photo: Courtesy of Tobi

We know you're scratching your head right now because we are, too. How can these clearly CLEAR glasses be called SUNglasses, right? The fact is, Joia Clear as Day Sunglasses are, indeed, sunglasses and beyond that they're also totally cute. We don't know how much sun these brightly colored Where's Waldo frames help shield your precious pupil vision from harmful UV rays, but according to the verbiage on the Tobi shopping site, these are bona fide "UV protected lenses." But hoooowww do they do it?? We have no clue, but does it matter when these imported sunnies are available for only $8 a pair? Also, they come in an array of spring-friendly hues—from mint green and sky blue to a light shade of peach renamed "latte"—and are too much of a steal not to try. What do you think? Would you try clear lens sunglasses or are they completely ridiculous?

Since we first saw Beyoncé's baby bump heard 'round the world, we just KNEW the little bun in her oven was destined for treasure troves of fabulous baby fashions. Now that Blue Ivy has actually graced the world with her presence (and her Tumblr account), she's proving us right AND THEN SOME. Princess Carter can't even walk yet, but she's already turning heads with her street style; first, with those Marc Jacobs mouse slippers, and now with this LOUCHE gray fur sling.

Mischa Barton Clothing Line

Looks from Mischa Barton's clothing line Mischa's Place.
Photo: Courtesy of Mischa's Place

I already know what you're thinking: Mischa Barton? Where has she been? Well, The O.C. actress has been designing handbags (since 2008, actually), and this year she launched her first-ever clothing line called Mischa's Place, which—get this—is already beginning to sell out. (See: Her $310 signature jacket, which is no longer available.) Now up until this past weekend, I too had NO idea what was going on in ol' Mischa's life, but after seeing her on the premiere episode of Vh1's new show Styled By June, Mischa mentioned in passing that she had a handbag line (WUT?) and revealed her fears of the press and paparazzi. This led me to Google the crap out of her for a good hour straight (who knew she had a duel citizenship in both the United States and Britain? Not me!), and suddenly I felt reconnected to the former "It" girl. Upon my findings were her clothing line, and I'm MORE then happy to report that her bohemian-inspired collection is flying off the (virtual) shelves. Her line features everything from band jackets with metallic trim ($225) to party-ready tulle frocks ($175). Some of our other favorite pieces include the illusion mesh maxi dress ($200) and the cinched-waist jumpsuit with pockets ($160), just to name a few.

Photo: Dannijo.com

Not gonna lie, we're WILD about anything and everything created by Danielle and Jodie Snyder, aka the designers behind mega awesome jewelry line Dannijo. The entire MTV Style staff frequents the website on a regular basis, sharing our collective sighs over collar necklaces like deprived prairie banshees in desperate need of soul-quenching precious metals. Well, thanks to the duo's latest lookbook, we have even more reason to wail, as one Questlove brings his joyful countenance to the campaign as an honest-to-goodness striking jewelry model.

chloe moretz sky ferreira emmy rossum choker necklaces

We've been noticing a neck trend; in fact, to pinpoint it, we spotted a black tat necklace on Sky Ferreira recently and collectively discussed the reemergence of that '90s touchstone, the choker. Some of you might recall the choker necklace's appeal during the Melrose Place years throughout the '90s, but the trend was also a fave in 18th century France when Marie Antoinette wore all manner of close-fitting, frilly choker adornments to draw attention to her décolletage. But with Chloë Moretz and Emmy Rossum both wearing them to the Metropolitan Opera, we're starting to wonder if this is actually trending for realsies.

Ashley Tisdale and Kreayshawn both rock Minnie Mouse ears.
Photo: Getty Images/Courtesy of Columbia Records

Put up your dukes, Ashley Tisdale and Kreayshawn! Looks like these two lovely ladies have found themselves square in the middle of a Who Wore It Better showdown, and the gloves (or ears, rather) are ON. Perez Hilton hosted his 34th birthday party this weekend, and as usual, the infamous blogger made it a themed affair. This year, he hosted a "Mad Hatter tea party" and all of his esteemed guests were encouraged to attend wearing festive headgear. From turbans to fascinators, the VIP partygoers obliged, but Ashley Tisdale's Minnie Mouse ears caught our eye not just because of their sequined cuteness, but also because they reminded us of the metallic fuschia ears Kreay wore in her breakout "Gucci Gucci" music video.
