"Short hair, don't care. (!!!)" - Taylor Swift

Last night, Taylor Swift got her hair cut, and judging from her Instagram, it was an EVENT. It seems like just yesterday Taylor was flipping her hair every which way during her dramatic Grammy performance. Now that image is nothing more than a distant memory because Swift is reinvigorating THE haircut of 2013: The Chop, also known as The Karlie. In the midst of her international Red Tour, T. Swizzle took a moment Tuesday evening to show off her new, chin-length 'do on Instagram. "London, I could never thank you enough. See you next time! PS: short hair, don't care. (!!!)," she captioned the photo (of a photo?), which also features one of her best friends (a pool that just keeps growing and growing), Ellie Goulding.
Lydia on 'Teen Wolf.'
If you're still weeping/shaking/holding loved ones close after last night's Teen Wolf, join the club. Poor Stiles! Poor Sheriff Stilinski! Poor Scott, Allison, Lydia, and Isaac, who had to go to school after no sleep! Since I'm not entirely equipped to discuss supernatural beings, this post will focus on something I am capable of talking about: hair.
You may have noticed that Lydia was mysteriously absent in last week's episode—well, I think I know where she was was: watching hair tutorials on YouTube. Her hair game was SO on-point last night. Her first look was an ~updated~ ponytail, which looked straightforward from the front, but then, she turned around and—BAM—it's an entirely different story. The ponytail hangs to the side and is wrapped around itself. Sure, it's messy, but in a chic way. If my hair looked like that one day in my life, I'd be happy. And take a lot of pictures.
It's Brunette-ney, b****! (Heh.) Over the weekend, Britney Spears shared a photo of herself that, at first glance, appeared to be some new promo for her Fantasy Remix perfume collection. "Spice up Valentine’s Day by getting ‘Naughty & Nice’ ((pun intended)) ;)," Spears tweeted while posing backstage at her Las Vegas vanity. But wait—that's not the same dark fringed wig she wore in the ads. In fact, we're pretty sure that's not a wig at all. And this isn't even an (official) ad. Could it be?! Britney's gone back to brunette, y'all!
Lorde at the Grammys and models from Creatures of Comfort and Adam Selman's NYFW runway shows.

When Lorde hit the stage at this year's Grammy Awards, instead of grabbing our attention with a glittery thong or an elaborate set, the 17-year-old New Zealand export appealed to our digital tastes with her dark, dripping, dip-dyed finger art. We'd spotted similar styles on Michele Lamy, the eclectic wife, muse, and creative mind behind Rick Owens, and at Mara Hoffman's F/W 2011 presentation, but now it seems like this alternative form of nail art is turning into a full-blown trend.
It's only the second day of New York Fashion Week, but we've already caught painted fingers on the runways of designers like Creatures of Comfort and Adam Selman. CofC mirrored Lorde's Grammy nails by bronzing their models' fingers from tip to joint. Selman went with a cleaner, more graphic style, adding tattooed black bands on all five fingers, like a string of permanent midi-rings. But, lest you be deceived (and as is usually the case with almost any trend), in fashion, everything old is new again—and finger art is no exception.
Rihanna is often heralded as the queen of transformations, but Nicki Minaj doesn’t get nearly enough credit. Just look how flawless she looks on her recent Instagram spree with her natural hair, straightened and pulled into a tight ponytail, then subsequently into an elegant tri-bun—pretty sure she just coined that last 'do. (Though, Katy Perry's Grammys look comes pretty close.)
Rita Ora for Rimmel.

Hey, #RITABOTS! Consider your uniform (almost) complete. Yesterday, Rita Ora's new Material Girl campaign dropped, providing us with some graphic-print goodness for our spring wardrobe. Today, Ora decided to give us a sneak peek of her upcoming Rimmel London campaign, which pretty much gives us the icing on our sartorial cake (i.e. lipstick).
With her platinum bob tussled into chunky waves, Ora flashes a perfect pout in a deep crimson color that better be included in her upcoming collection for the British beauty brand. We got a brief glimpse of the line back in October, when Rita shared some BTS snaps from her shoot and a quick look at the chubby lipstick "crayons" she created for her debut makeup collaboration.
In case you needed another excuse to get excited for spring (LOL #BYEPOLARVORTEX), Katy Perry will be releasing a limited edition of her third fragrance, Killer Queen, made specially for warmer days. The bottling of the new scent, called Killer Queen Oh So Sheer, maintains the same gem-shaped design as Killer Queen—but instead of ruby-red packaging, Oh So Sheer has a light lavender tint. But don't worry, Katy Cats, your golden clan crest still sits at the top. #represent
Miley Cyrus for 'W.'
Photo: 'W' Magazine/Foam finger: Amazon
No, the headline isn't wrong. This is a picture of Miley Cyrus, not Lady Gaga. Can you believe it? We barely can, TBH. After Miley's W cover leaked last week, we knew the full story and spread would likely be out soon. What we didn't realize was just how soon. A mere three days after the leak, the spread has arrived in full. Obviously, we need to discuss it.
While the piece, penned by Ronan Farrow, is titled "Miley Cyrus Laid Bare," Miley does little laying and is not entirely bare in the spread shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The bleached brows and longer bob she has on the cover remains throughout the spread, but instead of using only a pillow, she (partially) covers up with clothing, like a fully unbuttoned Balmain leather jumpsuit.
