5 Things We Learned From Christina Aguilera's 'Fashion Indie' Interview

On top of a new album, single, and beauty-stacked music video, Christina Aguilera is ALSO launching a brand new perfume. The new scent, Red Sin, is the latest addition to Xtina's major fragrance arsenal, and probably the spiciest one yet with notes of ginger, cinnamon, sandalwood, cyclamen, musk and red apple. We took you through her sultry commercial for the fragrance earlier this month, but thanks to our friends at Fashion Indie who sat down to chat with THE Miss Aguilera, we now get a snapshot into the thought process behind developing the scent and the ad spot. Halloween 2012: Scarily Real Zombie Nail Art

Sure, we've been getting into the Halloween spirit with killer costume ideas (like Lady Gaga's new and improved meat dress or Katy Perry's enchanted "Wide Awake" look), but we have yet to go down the dark and gory road that is All Hallows' Eve. *evil witch cackle* *thunderclap* If you're willing to get a little grisly with your costume and have some serious nail art skills to boot, we have JUST the thing for you—a zombie-fied manicure that'll definitely add an extra bit of edge to your back-from-the-dead ensemble. I mean, you don't even have to WAIT until Halloween to sport a seriously revolting mani, (I mean, hello, season three of The Walking Dead just premiered yesterday AND that Zombie 5K is just a week away), but you might, um, really gross people out in the meantime. This manicure is all about getting as gruesome as possible—the bloodier, the better! Remember: You are a flesh-eating corpse, and your nails need to reflect that. So, where do we start? Well, take a cue from Samarium's Swatches' blog and use only matte polishes for the beat-up and bruised nail beds, but be sure to keep the "blood" shiny to make it look nice 'n fresh. Mmmmm, humans. Fun tip: She used dark, matte eye shadow around her cuticles and fingertips to add an extra gross touch. PERFECT.

Katy Perry Sports Spooky Halloween Nail Art To amfAR Inspiration Gala

So, we're basically stalking Katy Perry. I mean, not really, but we are consistently on the lookout for her nail art to the point where it's, heh, kind of embarrassing. But, like, have you seen KP's nail game? It's always insane, hence why we need to be on watch 24/7. In September, she showed off a KILLER Daria mani and just last week she sported Obama's face on her fingers. Last night she switched up her digits once again—this time with a Halloween-themed design. OoOooOh! Fun! While performing at the amfAR Inspiration Gala, she wore an off-the-shoulder floral ruffle Naeem Khan gown with a rhinestone belt and, of course, DEM NAILS. Let's take a closer look at these bad boys, shall we?

Will There Be A One Direction Perfume?

Heads up, Directioners! According to our friends at Marie Claire UK, there might be a One Direction PERFUME coming down the pipe just for you! The mag revealed that everyone's favorite Brit-Irish boy band "are to put their names to a new scent for women that will feature floral notes and be suitably sweet for their predominantly teenage fanbase." And then we gripped our desks and screamed at our computer monitors a full 60 seconds. MC UK elaborated, "A source close to the band told us: 'One Direction are working on releasing a scent, it’s all super secret right now.'" *pause for snickering about the unintentional hilarity of "releasing a scent"* Before we start clearing out some counter space for a 1D perfume bottle (or *cue genius light bulb* perhaps FIVE?), we'll hold for a beat until the dudes themselves confirm the news, but it totally wouldn't surprise us if the group had a scent in the works.

Rihanna Reveals 'Unapologetic' Album Art, Makes Us Want Dark Lipstick

In breaking Rihanna Navy news, our girl Rih has bestowed unto us via Instagram both the TITLE of her forthcoming seventh studio album (appropriately, it's Unapologetic) aaaaand the ALBUM ART. By now, we should all be pretty accustomed to seeing Rihanna in the buff, from her scantily clad "Nude" fragrance campaign to her topless Esquire UK cover spread, it's evident Ri is VERY comfortable in her own skin *wink wink nudge nudge*. The Unapologetic album cover features the "Diamonds" singer wearing little more than a thin body chain, itsy bitsy necklace, and dainty drop earrings with words and phrases and hashtags scrawled all across her visage. It's her BEAUTY LOOK, though, that's really amplifying the excitement for us over here in MTV's Style hub (Deep, rich, eggplant lips?? Yes, PLEASE!), and it inspired us to do a little searching for an aubergine lip color to call our own.

Britney Spears Reveals Fantasy Twist Fragrance Campaign!

Ladies and gentlemen, Britney Spears' highly-anticipated Fantasy Twist fragrance campaign has finally arrived! She posted the ad to her Facebook page today saying, "1st look at my Fantasy Twist ad. Watch Extra tonight for behind the scenes from the shoot with Ellen Von Unwerth!" Oh, we will Britney, we WILL. But can we talk about how this campaign is everything we could have hoped for and more?! I mean, when we peeped Brit Bit behind-the-scenes during her shoot decked out in a head-to-toe gold Cleopatra-inspired ensemble, that one outfit alone was enough to satiate our Britney fix. Then, she reveals her campaign with not one, but TWO killer Britney looks, and we can barely handle it. *fans self* Since her Fantasy Twist fragrance features both of Britney's best-selling scents (Fantasy and Midnight Fantasy), she plays two contrasting roles to fit both moods—a soft and sweet blonde beauty and sultry, raven-haired vixen. Me-ow!

Try Your Hand At DIY Photo Print Nail Transfers!

Listen, I totally understand that not everyone is amazing at nail art (trust me, I try it every week) and that sometimes no matter how hard you try to paint Daria's face on your fingertips, it'll still end up looking like Beast Jesus. (Unless, of course, you actually WANT your nails to look like Beast Jesus because that can most certainly happen.) And you know what? I'm here for you. Luckily, nail transfer decals are ALL the rage these days for us not-so-artistically-inclined folk. The basic idea behind it is this: Anything in print form can be transferred onto your tips with the right method. So basically, if you've ever flipped through a magazine and thought, "I want that exact pattern/person/cat on my nails," then you're good to go. Be forewarned—there are a TON of different ways to approach this method of nail art, but I'm just skimming the surface with the top three techniques I've found most useful. Let's get to it!

Katy Perry Performs For President Obama In Patriotic Nails

There are a few things that you can always count on Katy Perry to deliver in spades: ear-wormy pop music, commitment to a theme, and killer nail art. Miss KP had a big weekend, performing for both UCLA's Hammer Gala AND President Barack Obama's "30 Days To Victory Concert," but it was at Mr. President's star-studded Sunday night fundraiser that Katy hit that homerun trifecta. Case in point: this INCREDIBLE red-white-and-blue, Obama'nicure.

Rihanna Strips Down, Goes Blonde In New 'Nude' Fragrance Campaign Image

Ok so she's not all the way down to her birthday suit, but Rihanna is nearly naked in a photo for her fragrance, Nude, that she leaked on Instagram over the weekend. She posted the photo, alongside the caption "Here is my new add [sic] for a brand new fragrance #NUDE !!! Make sure you smell sexy, especially naked, this fall!!!" on Friday evening, starting off the holiday weekend with a big piece of news. The campaign also shows Ri with as an old Hollywood-style blonde, a hair look that's completely unlike the super fashionable pixie cut she's been sporting since the 2012 VMA's. She shot the steamy pics back in May, when she announced, also via Instagram, that she would be putting out the new fragrance, and we've been tapping our toes wondering about them ever since. With Nude set to be released this fall, however, they're right on schedule for a super hot holiday release.

Nina Dobrev Has Killer Hair Game For 'Glamour'

First off, WUT. Is Nina Dobrev even human? Well, if you're asking about her character(s) on The Vampire Diaries that's a complicated answer, but we're seriously wondering how a real person could look this good. Nina models some killer hairstyles in Glamour's—wait for it—hair issue, and now we're totally inspired to start playing around with our own strands. In her first look, she wears a sky-high, textured, updated beehive 'do. This is like taking the messy bun to the next level (literally), and we're ALL for it. Apparently all it takes is some Oscar Blandi Pronto Texture & Volume Spray and some serious back-combing commitment to get this piled-high look. (We gotta give extra kudos to the butterfly clip, too!)
