If there ever was a moment where the stars aligned and everything in the universe fell perfectly into place, this is it, y'all. Like, Katy Perry wearing Daria nail art? Could this be more perfect? NOPE! *high-fives self* KP is constantly bustin' out the best nail game whether it's in music videos or on the red carpet, but this—this officially tops everything we've ever seen. She arrived in Tokyo today (yes, as in, TO. DAY.), and guess what one of her first stops was? To the nail salon, obvs. (Such a girl after our own heart.) She got the ENTIRE cast of the '90s animated MTV series on her tips (we see you, Jake Morgendorffer!) and tweeted, "It doesn't get any better than hand painted DARIA nails by the girls at ES Nails TOKYO!" You're tellin' us, Katy. *mind explodes*

Zooey Deschanel Nail Art Emmys

We can't say we're surprised that Zooey Deschanel once again brought her nail art A-game to the red carpet. Girl has been sporting top-notch tips for-ever, so when she tweeted her Emmy Awards-themed design earlier tonight, we just HAD to discuss. First off: Awwww! TV nails! Not only is it incredibly appropriate for the event, but Zooey even put her vintage-y spin on the design by creating a '60s-era tube. Her accent thumb was adorned with the mini TV complete with glitter across the screen, while the rest of her mani was coated with a tangerine base finished with Swarovski crystals and glitter. Ooohh, fancy!

emmys awards beauty

We all know that bold, red, va-va-vooom lips may scream "Old Hollywood" 99% of the time, but at tonight's Emmy Awards, stars proved that sometimes it's a less-is-more beauty look that REALLY gets the attention. Nude, skin-toned, naked...whatever you want to call it, this hue totally dominated the makeup game, with everyone from Kate Mara to Lena Dunham sporting the trend. Lena and Kate both paired their lips with a smokey, dark eye, adding a seriously sultry edge to an otherwise demure look. The surprising result is simultaneously innocent AND seductive, and we're pretty much obsessed. Also, is it just us, or do the deep side parts, light brown/reddish hair color and rosy cheeks on the actresses look strikingly similar? Clearly these two are on to something, and let's just say this pale lip look packs a MAJOR punch.

MAC Marilyn Monroe

When you hear the world "glamour," there's a fairly good chance what pops into mind immediately are images of old Hollywood starlets, and the most prominent one is probably Marilyn Monroe. An icon in every sense of the word, Marilyn embodies the high gloss femininity that so defines that golden age of Hollywood, and that so many of us modern ladies, while we might not want to go all out pinup glam, definitely want a little hint of in our day to day lives. That, friends, is where MAC comes in. We heard that MAC was going to be releasing a Marilyn Monroe line all the way back in February--early intel suggested it wouldn't be out until October, but lo and behold, it's going to be ready for purchase online on September 27th, mere weeks away! It still won't be in stores until October 4th, though, so if you want to give the shades an in-store test run you'll have to wait a little. The 30 piece collection includes lipstick, nail polish, and everything in between, all in classic shades that will have your skirt blowing up over a subway grate in no time (ok, maybe not). Check out the full collection after the jump.

Die-hard One Direction fans have likely already watched the fab fivesome's "Live While We're Young" music video over and over (and over and over and OVER), too many times to count, after the short's unexpected lo-fi leak earlier today. Well, the 1D dudes decided to go ahead and give the world the high quality version of the first single off their sophomore album, Take Me Home, and it's every bit the adorably raucous music video we expected from the boy band prankstas (especially after those wet and wild on-set snaps). What we didn't expect, though, is that we'd ALSO get a rare glimpse at the dudes with their hair UNSTYLED. I mean, this is the group that came to their VMA rehearsal with stage-ready hair. To see them with sopping wet mops, let alone in a music video we can play and pause and screenshot at our will, is MAY-JOR. Moments like this are few and far between. Knowing this, we've captured them all and put them on the Internet FOR YOU. *wipes away single happy tear* You're so welcome.

HARRY STYLES

It's truly a remarkable thing to see the normally pristinely maned Harry Styles with his hair SOAKING WET. What really shocks us is that while it's devoid all its former volume when wet, it still retains its signature windswept qualities. MAGICAL!

Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Campaign

If you haven't been keeping up with/totally spazzing over Nicki Minaj's new Pink Friday perfume since she debuted the bottle last month, y'all have some SERIOUS catching up to do. Basically, it's like this—her bottle is a mini gold bust complete with Barbz signature pink wig and baby pink lips. Also, it has a custom mini nameplate necklace hanging around her neck. IN. SANE. But today, Nicki took it to the next level by tweeting out her first-ever Pink Friday campaign and ooohhhh man, we can barely handle it! In her first image, she stands tall (literally) against a New York City skyline and emulates the oh-so-famous Statue of Liberty stance wearing—SURPRISE—all pink! She sported a ruffled shoulder hot pink jacket with a matching leotard, leggings, tutu, and super sparkly (!!!) shoes.

Holy hair news, folks! Demi Lovato had undergone yet another tonsorial switch-up! Our girl D blasted out a picture of her new blonde BANGS with a tweet referencing the hook of Eminem's "Without Me," "Guess what's back, back, back, back again..... BANGS are back, back, back tell your friends...." The unconditionally obedient Lovatics that we are, we're doing exactly as Demi's suggested and TELLING YOU. We're sounding Internet alarms here, people. Demi Lovato has brought back the forehead fringe!

There was a lot of speculation after that whole Rupert Sanders thing that Kristen Stewart may have been dropped from her illustrious job as face of the Balenciaga fragrance. Well, rest easy, y'all, because K.Stew's Florabotanica campaign is definitely still a GO! Both the On The Road actress and Balenciaga's creative director Nicolas Ghesquière take time in this behind-the-scenes video to talk about the Florabotanica fragrance, the mood behind the campaign, and elaborate on the choice of Kristen as the face of the perfume.

Lana Del Rey straight hair

Our retro girl has gone modern! Lana Del Rey—a.k.a. the queen of '60s-inspired sky-high bouffants and liquid cat liner—has traded in her traditional deep-parted old Hollywood waves for a totally sleek and straight 'do. We barely recognized the singer (and current face of H&M!) at the London Fashion Week Mulberry spring/summer 2013 show today thanks to her super slick, freshly-dyed black strands. In fact, she wasn't even sporting her signature eye makeup OR a bold lip. *gasp* What happened to her "gangster Nancy Sinatra" vintage style? :(

It's just been confirmed that Glee star Lea Michele is the new face of L'Oreal Paris, joining the likes of Beyonce and Gwen Stefani, who have also been spokeswomen for the brand. In a statement to People magazine, Lea said that she is "overjoyed" to be working with the company, which is the largest beauty company in the world. Pretty major, if you ask us. She went on to say that she is not only a fan of L'Oreal because of their products, but also because of their message, "I’m so thankful to be a part of a television show that promotes inner beauty and self-worth," Lea said, referring to her starring role on the groundbreaking Glee, "now to be a part of this amazing family [L'Oreal] that expresses the same amazing message is such an honor.”
