Boho Rock temporary body tattoos.

Okay, so technically these Boho Rocks are "face and body" tattoos. We concede that in the model shot for the flower version, they illustrate an example of the tiny strip tatts being used as faux bracelets, but let's be real. With a name like "Boho Rock," these were clearly made with the intention of providing an alternative to the skinny headbands worn bohemian-style across the forehead. It's a decent idea since many ladies cite that their aversion to the dome pieces are the way they flatten hair or make weird crease marks. The Boho Rock tatts get you a similar look without all the fuss. But, like, guys... This is a forehead tattoo. If you squint your eyes really hard, yea, it kinda looks like a headband, but at the end of the day, you're temporarily joining the leagues of these forehead-tattooed brethren. *sucks teeth in second-hand embarrassment*
Lady Gaga writes on the benefits of manicure in latest "V" magazine column.

Paws up, ladies! Lady Gaga is back at the writing desk for V Magazine and contributing pearls (and rhinestones and glitterbombs) of wisdom for her guest column. The latest hot topic for Gaga Memo No. 7? The genuine importance of manicures. It makes sense. If your hallmark gesticulation has you and your fans flashing your tips at all hours of the day, y'all better make sure your nail beds don't suck (sorry, Karen Smith!). At MTV Style, we always have our eyes glued to the growing nail art landscape, but Mother Monster makes some solid points about the health and maintenance virtues that go hand-in-hand with regular manicures.
Bringing to life the images from her Fame print campaign, the new film clip for Lady Gaga's black eau de parfum, Fame, bridges the austere, art-house quality of the previous short film, Formulation, with the high gloss, high fashion images in the print campaign. Remember that shot of the naked Gaga, laying like a lady giant being consumed by a hoard of tiny, ink-black figures? In the new clip you can see it in motion, for a split second (although blink and you'll miss it, there's so much going on). Directed by Steven Klein and produced by Ridley Scott and associates, the new film looks like it was shot on the set of a science fiction film, all metallic curves and back lighting. We're also super into the split second of Gaga, climbing out of a vat of thick, black liquid with a peach-colored bob. If this is what fame looks like, though, we have to say we're happy with our little lives. It's a scary, glamorous world Mama Monster has created. We totally do want to cop a bottle of the stuff, though, and are super jealous of the 1800 little monsters who allegedly got their paws on it in Tokyo.
We hope you've been perfecting your nail art skills all summer long because, um, school starts next week. *horror movie scream* Obvi we want you to head back to class looking your ABSOLUTE best, so we rounded up some super school-appropriate designs that'll totally make you the coolest gal in your grade. No matter how skilled (or not!) you are at nail art, we have a plethora of options at every level of difficulty. We know you weren't expecting a homework assignment THIS early, but we've got one for you: Pick a design below, test it out, and let us know how it goes! (Extra credit for posting a pic.) Annnddd go!
Listen, there's nothing wrong with liking your reading assignments. It's cool to be a bookworm, and the gal behind Freestyle Nails found a way to make it stylish too! She painted a green and yellow worm across her tips and completed the look with a polka dot bow tie (aw!), glasses and a hat. For her thumb, she painted a book because, well, duh! It's a bookworm, guys.
We never thought we'd say this, but OMG, WE ARE SO SAD THE OLYMPICS ARE OVER. *sniff sniff* It feels like just yesterday we were prepping our Opening Ceremony party ensemble, and now the Closing Ceremony is over, and we're left with nothing but bags of chips and a Spice Girl song stuck in our head. The cool part, though, is that this year's Olympics were not only filled with tons of hard-earned U.S. victories, but also some of THE most unforgettable style moments! From the sparkly leotards to killer nail art to amazing waterproof makeup, there were endless amounts of memorable fashion and beauty looks that will forever be ingrained in our memories. Let's check out our top 10 picks, shall we?
1.) RYAN LOCHTE'S AMERICAN FLAG GRILL
First and foremost—Mr. Ryan Lochte. Before a couple weeks ago, we knew next to nothing about this Olympic medal-winning swimmer, but as it turns out he has a SERIOUS penchant for fashion-y kicks, grills, and memorable catchphrases (JEAH!). His decked-out American flag grill almost cost him a gold medal, but we think it was TOTALLY worth it, right? Sooo shinnnyyy.
Miley Cyrus shows off her short hairstyle.
Photo: Miley Cyrus Twitter
They were the scissor snips heard 'round the world last night, when Miley Cyrus bravely decided to ditch her signature topknot for a platinum pixie cut. Yes, really. After tweeting some crypic messages throughout the day, Miley finally blasted out a photo midway through the Olympics Closing Ceremony of the "after" look. Her new blonde choppy 'do reminds us a bit of Rihanna's cropped hairstyle crossed with Agyness Deyn's edgy pixie, and we're giving major props to Miley for taking the plunge. Although it takes a LOT for most people to part with their hair, Miley took the huge change in stride- even posing for a "before" shot with her hairstylist Chris McMillan (with the caption "Good bye bun. Stay tuned"). Eeeeek!
Back in May, we told you about Britney Spears' new fragrance, Fantasy Twist. Well actually, it's not a NEW fragrance, per say: the innovative new scent is actually Brit's Fantasy and Midnight Fantasy scents, combined in one super rad spherical bottle. Let's be honest, there are plenty of people with a 'signature scent,' but there are also plenty of people with a bunch of different perfumes that they rotate depending on the occasion, the season, or their mood. Britney has made a practical solution for fragrance flip-floppers, and we're 100% into it. We're also totally into the look for the perfume's ad campaign, in which Britney takes on the persona of Cleopatra, decked out in gold. The perfume, which was originally slated for release in October, has been moved forward to a September 1st release, to coincide with the premiere of X Factor, on which Britney is a judge.
The fragrance will be offered in three sizes, ranging from full-sized bottles to a tiny version of the two-scented set, the perfect size to sneak into your purse or keep stashed in a desk drawer or locker. We like the idea of being able to transition your perfume from day to night, or even to be able to combine the two (although we have no idea what that would smell like).
What do you think of Britney Spears' Fantasy Twist fragrance?

Mariah Carey showing off some dark polish on the red carpet.
Yeah that's right, Mariah Carey doesn't get just ONE OPI nail polish collection like regular celebs like Katy Perry or Nicki Minaj, no. The reigning queen of octave-spanning-soul has just signed with the nail polish giant for two collections, the first debuting in January of 2013, and the second later that year. While we thought that the "All I Want For Christmas Is You" singer would surely be releasing a holiday collection, it's not so, but we're sure her polishes will warm our chilly mid-winter fingers in January nonetheless. Indeed, this is going to be a pretty huge year for Mariah and her fans. What with a new album in the works (we suspect), teased by her recent single "Triumphant (Get 'em)," and her seat at the American Idol judges table, so it's only natural that more collaborations and collections would be in the works. We're not going to call it a comeback because Mariah never went away, but it's been awhile since she was out in such force. She had not just one but two babies last year though (are we sensing a pattern), so her fans can handle the wait.
You really just have to love Azealia Banks. The cheeky lyrics, the trademark mischievous glint in her eye, the mermaid hair for days. Azealia is a bonafide style star in her own right with designers like Alexander Wang and Karl Lagerfeld posting her up as a new muse, flocking to have her front their campaigns or play a show at their homes, AND YET she's not too big to appreciate when other ladies wield exemplary style. We especially love it when AZ takes it far enough to emulate other girlies' steez like with this self-described genie hair the native Harlemite admits is inspired by another MTV Style darling: Grimes!
We have our eyes on Miley Cyrus. The sum total of her admirable dedication to fitness in lead-up to her forthcoming wedding day plus that seeeeriously dynamite cover spread for Marie Claire has trained our sights and feelers squarely on the life and times of Billy Ray's little girl. In addition to following along as Miley live-tweeted her most recent hair cut and color, the fruits of our eagle eye have also made us the happy witnesses of a Miley-approved beauty routine (possibly brought to you by Tarte Cosmetics?). Miley tweeted the above picture yesterday with the caption "It's easy as 1...2...3 (4)"!
