Celebrities: they're just like us? Er, not so much...at least when it comes to looking gorgeous on the red carpet. Along with impossibly good genes, we all know the stars have a team of creative masterminds to get their hair, makeup, and nails in tip-top shape for major events. But here's awesome news for those out there who are NOT on Hollywood's A-List (read: everyone else), because these beauty pros are generously willing to divulge their secrets! Earlier this week we filled you in on how to replicate Kristen Stewart, Amanda Seyfried and Sarah Hyland's best hairstyles for prom, and now we're quizzing the makeup artists behind Rihanna, Jennifer Lawrence, and Katy Perry's most glamorous faces. Regardless of whether you're rocking a short dress, a long gown, or anything in between, find out how to copy the looks for prom below!

RIHANNA AT THE 2013 GRAMMY AWARDS

Katniss Everdeen may have bragging rights to the "Fire Dress," but leave it to Rihanna to crank up the heat even higher on the 2013 Grammys scene in a bright red custom Alaia gown. The cherry-colored sheer frock might command our eyeballs initially, but it's Rihanna's classic Old Hollywood makeup look that really seals the deal here: super-long lashes, defined brows, and THAT amazing red lip. According to the pop star's makeup artist Mylah Morales, obtaining a traffic-stopping effect like this one requires a group effort. "Whenever we do anything with the crew, it's a collaboration between everyone," she told us over the phone yesterday. "Basically we find out what Rihanna will be wearing and then discuss the best beauty look." Although Mylah isn't opposed to rocking a statement mouth with dramatic eyes, this time around she says, "I gave her a really clean, matte face so her lips were the focus, especially given her dress." Want to nab the perfect red mouth for yourself? Mylah recommends using a combination of lipliner (she used Cherry from MAC on Ri), a base color (Ruby Woo) and finish things off with Lady Danger to really give a pop of color.

Sky

Photo: Terry's Diary

Ever since she first burst on the music scene back in 2009, Sky Ferreira has practically trademarked her long Barbie blonde locks. Sure, her signature California girl cut may have undergone several incarnations over the years, from waist-length and wavy as a baby-faced newcomer all the way to platinum and straight earlier this spring, but we've never seen anything quite so dramatic as this. After sporting long hair for what seems like forever, the 20-year-old took a cue from Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Karlie Kloss yesterday and CHOPPED. IT. ALL. OFF. We know, we can't believe it, either—but pictures don't lie, people. Not only did she cut 6-plus inches off the length, Terry Richardson was there to document the entire thing (of course).

Justin Bieber

The 2010 iteration of Justin Bieber's iconic "hair flip."
Photo: Getty Images

Whoawhoawhoawhoa. Beliebers, are you all still standing?? In case you missed it, the biggest tonsorial watercooler talk of the moment is the fact that this weekend Justin Bieber brought back the hair flip look that became such a signature for him during the "Baby" years. Rather than the forehead-baring pompadours he adopted for his foray into adulthood, Biebs let his hair down this past Friday, sweeping it across his dome for a meet and greet in Dortmund, Germany. Truth be told, between all the flat brim hats and gas masks, we haven't seen much of Justin's hair in the wild (save the occasional "morning hair" selfie), so any snap of the dude's IRL mane is going to send us (and all his fans) into a bit of frenzy. What makes this an especially buzzworthy topic is the latent Miley hair-ness of this updated 2013 "hair flip."

brad pitt

Brad Pitt's hairstyles over the years.

Guys, it's less than a week away until the MTV Movie Awards, and we're already fuh-reaking out over the host (Rebel Wilson!), live performances (Selena Gomez! Macklemore!), and presenters (Zac Efron!), but, get this, we've got an even bigger addition to the already-amazing Movie Awards crew—Brad Pitt! The iconic actor will present the Movie of the Year award on April 14, but most importantly, we'll get to peep his hair game IRL. Now, if you remember his complete "hairvolution" from 2011, flowy blonde locks, slicked-back strands and buzzed 'dos should come to mind. There's no telling what Brad might do to his mane next, so let's look back at all his iconic hairstyles and ogle ponder over what he might wear come Sunday. (P.S.- Don't be jealous we get paid to do this.)

Coachella Nail Art

So, we've already picked out our favorite must-have manis for Coachella this weekend (think: palm trees, peace signs and tribal print), but for the not-so-artistically-inclined folks, this news comes as kind of a bummer. But, hey, don't be too sad about your lack of painting skills just yet—YSL released a set of super cool "tie-dye" top coats that'll add an ombre effect to whatever polish you swipe it on. Let us explain! The La Laque Couture Tie and Dye collection (which comes in four colors: Cool, Pop, Hit, and Ice) has three different finishes layered inside one bottle. The bottom is infused with glitter, the center is a sheer tinted shade, and the top is straight-up clear gloss. If you dip the brush in and use as-is, it'll give your nails that killer gradient effect, but if you shake it up, it'll add an even, shimmery tinted top coat to put over your favorite colors (or bare nails!)

We've already loaded you up on tons of dream dress inspiration this prom season, from the wallet-friendly frocks to splurge-worthy options, but you know what? Let's take a break from gowns for a sec because now it's officially time to talk hair. If you think about it, there's no better place to get prom hair ideas than from the red carpet. After all, these two events actually have a LOT in common: the search for the perfect dress, finding comfortable-but-still-chic shoes, and the inevitable time spent in front of the mirror getting ready. The only difference between us and Hollywood's "It" list is the fact that they have a team of experts helping them primp. But because we love you, we tracked down the masterminds behind some of our favorite red carpet hair looks this season from Kristen Stewart, Amanda Seyfried, and Sarah Hyland. These pros gave us the complete breakdown on how to recreate the styles yourself as well as the products they used (although your own bathroom stash will work, too). Check out the step-by-step instructions below!

KRISTEN STEWART AT 2013 KIDS' CHOICE AWARDS

Kristen Stewart KNOWS how to get people talking, and at the 2013 Kids' Choice Awards we obsessed over her tousled fishtail braid (as well as her daring short suit!). The actress's hairstylist, Adir Abergel, told us how he achieved the effortless hair look.

1. On slightly damp hair, apply Fekkai Perfectly Luscious Curls Wave Activating Spray from roots to ends.

2. Using a diffuser, blow dry hair and scrunch it with hands to create a rough, voluminous texture.

3. Next, rub a dime-size amount of Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream between your hands and sweep hair back and up off of the face.

4. Starting at the crown, create a fishtail braid down the middle of the head. Secure the end with a clear elastic band. Gently pull the braid apart for a deconstructed look and let a few pieces of hair frame your face.

5. Finish the look by misting Fekkai COIFF Sheer Hold Hairspray all over to keep the style in place all night.

Mariah Carey Dreams Fragrance

Ever since Mariah Carey released her twelfth (yes, twelfth!) fragrance "Dreams" nearly a month ago, I couldn't stop thinking about it. The American Idol judge/all-around diva described the scent as a mix of vanilla, honeysuckle, and salted caramel apple, which represented her transition "from childhood to performing on the world's stage, to being in love, to feeling loved." Needless to say, I was intrigued—intrigued enough, in fact, to actually take this scent for a spin. Like, IRL. The bottle came in a purple box complete with her Category 5 wind-blown campaign photo (above) and inside lay the oh-so-fitting butterfly-adorned fragrance. Much to the avail of my nearby co-workers, I doused myself in the stinky stuff and took to the streets, er, cubicles to find out what others thought about her new scent. The catch? I didn't give them any hints as to who made it/where it came from, and this is what they said.

Selena Gomez Come & Get It Teaser

Not to be weird or anything, but we can never get enough Selena Gomez. Like, we re-watched Spring Breakers last night just to see her 'dorbs little face grace the silver screen again, and thanks to her upcoming album release, she's been teasing us all week long with her first single, "Come & Get It." So far, we peeped her SUPAH FUH-IERCE cover art where she's decked out it in a fiery red Blonds ensemble, and just today she released a 30-second preview from her upcoming music video (we think/hope) and ohmuhgah—she looks so effortlessly ethereal and gorgeous we can barely handle it.

Nicki Minaj MTV First

You might've watched the MTV First: Nicki Minaj sit down Tuesday right here on MTV.com, but there's a chance you missed the oh-so-amazing fashion info she dropped in her tell-all interview. Like, we're talking may-juh fash news here, people—deets on her debut clothing line, upcoming fragrances (!!!), and her new, toned-down look that we've been obsessed with. She said, "Towards the end of last year I just wanted to have a more natural look, and that's what I was explaining to my team. I knew that I was about to start doing covers of magazines, and I wanted a more relatable look. I knew that I was about to launch a clothing line and I want women to know that I'm just a regular woman and I'm not some weirded-out character all the time."

Odd Future Nail Art

Photo: Via Pimp My Nails

Ever since we listened to a stream of Tyler, the Creator's new Wolf album last week, we cannot stop thinking about it. (I mean, Kanye West can't either.) To put it simply: We loved it. So much, in fact, that we wanted to celebrate the Odd Future frontman by finding the best nail art on the interwebs in his honor. Yeah, sure, it may not be Tyler's idea of the most fun way to celebrate his newest album release, but we couldn't help but notice all the killer nail designs dedicated to the OFWGKTA crew. We're particularly obsessed with this set featuring the iconic OF donuts, Shark Cat, upside-down crosses, box-cutter detailing and, of course, the words "Golf Wang." *claps*
