You & I is coming!Photo: Getty Images
Gather round, Directioners. If you didn't expect to wake up to some very exciting One Direction news on this Monday morning, you are in for a real treat—there's a new fragrance on the way! In a video this morning, Liam announced that the new fragrance, You & I, would be dropping later this summer.
The new scent is the band's third—there was, of course, Our Moment last summer and That Moment earlier this spring. Liam reveals that all five guys played a major role in both developing the scent and designing the bottle. So, um, is the bottle gonna be shaped like a gray sweater? Maybe it'll be just, like, a morph of all their faces? The words "You & I" have history in the world of One Direction, y'know?
Even if you haven't read or seen The Fault In Our Stars (yet!), you’ve undoubtedly heard the overwhelming consensus that it’s impossible to get through it without many, many tissues. But you know what's sure to cheer you up when you're sobbing your eyes out over the saddest teen love story of all time when it hits theaters tomorrow (other than Ansel Elgort's grin/personality/entire being)? Very, very rad nail art inspired by the story.
The Fault in Our Stars and nail art are both all over Tumblr and Instagram, so it only makes sense that the two have begun to overlap a bit. Two of the best things on the internet, together? Sign us up.
Without giving away any spoilers, because you're obviously going to see the movie this weekend, the word "okay" is sort of Hazel and Augustus's way of saying a love you. Some people have a song? They have a word. Just go with it. This girl incorporates that and actual text from the book, resulting in a truly bonkers mani.
Seeing a theme here? This one has more "okay"s, but with the addition of some hearts (because it's a love story), flowers (because Gus bought some for Hazel that one time), and stars (because duh).
We need these in our hands right now.

Since it was first announced in March, we've been keeping a close eye on the collaboration between Lorde and MAC Cosmetics. The two-piece collection features a deep-plum lipstick named after her album Pure Heroine, which can be used as a lipstick or a stain, and a black eyeliner called Rapidblack. Finally, they're available for purchase.
Rihanna's gone rogue, y'all.

Last summer, Rihanna released her fourth fragrance, Rogue, complete with an ad campaign featuring our girl curled up beside a life-size bottle of the scent partially naked with her gams and sultry stare on full display. You might remember it, but you also might not—mostly because Rih is becoming pretty well-known for flashing her skin around like it ain't no thang. (And we're not mad at that!) But, in the UK, the Advertising Standards Authority had a major problem with RiRi's "provocative" campaign.
Yeah, I don't look like this at 4 a.m.

We knew Demi Lovato was the queen of no-makeup selfies and of changing her hair color, but we didn't know she was so skilled at combining two of the things she's best at. Demi posted this picture of her new purple-and-silver ombre hair and captioned it, "No makeup.. 4am..." No makeup AND new hair? That's a lot for one selfie, Demi. The new color comes after almost two months of brunette locks–while she looks great with every color (and she's done a lot), we've missed her bolder color choices. She made her big return with not only one color that doesn't grow out of heads naturally, but two.
If you care at all about TV, you're likely well-aware that the second season of Orange Is The New Black premieres this week (June 6) on Netflix. Gearing up for the return of Piper, Pennsatucky, Crazy Eyes and the rest of the women's penitentiary motley crew of characters, we're binge-watching the first season as a refresher and looking ahead at the new season's character posters for what's to come. In keeping with the first season's creative interpretations on beauty/style necessities—maxi pads as shower shoes, etc.—we noticed that these teaser images employ similarly scrappy DIY takes on beauty routines.
~Naturally~, we felt it our duty to test these unique approaches out, so for the pilot episode of our brand new tutorial series, How To Do Stuff (P.S. we're launching a tutorial series!!!), we decided to do just that. Watch the video above for some valuable information on whether tampons work as hair curlers, if a Sharpie marker can pass as eyeliner, and soooooo much more.
Taystee's poster shows her curling her hair with tampons. I wrapped my own hair in tampons and left them on for, like, half a day. NO SPOILERS: You'll have to watch the video to see whether it worked or not. *WINK*
Royal Revolution, y'all.

It's time to start using your collection of Killer Queen very liberally, KatyCats 'cause Katy Perry has another fragrance heading your way. KP just announced the news on Instagram, posting a pic of the bottle and revealing the new fragrance's name–Royal Revolution. The scent, as you may have assumed from the bottle shape, is in the Killer Queen family, though it's the "sassy sapphire sister."

We've known since last fall that Pharrell would be releasing a fragrance. In March it was announced that he would be collaborating with Comme Des Garcons on the scent and that it would be called "G I R L," just like his most recent album. We also found out that despite its name, the scent would be unisex. That preliminary info held us over for a few weeks, but we wanted more. We always want MOAR. Good news: Today Pharrell revealed the forthcoming bottle and what the fragrance would actually smell like to WWD.
The scent, packaged more like a sculpture than your average perfume bottle, is definitely something you’ll want to put on display. It features a colorful cartoon by Kaws, a friend of Pharrell's and the artist who designed the 2013 VMA Moonman, NBD. The 100-ml. bottle is priced at $135 and a 10-ml. travel size version costs $30.
While reading about a scent doesn't exactly reveal, y'know, what it smells like, it can help sculpt what to expect. For this unisex fragrance, you'll be sniffing on “top notes of neroli, lavender and white pepper; middle ones of iris, styrax and violet, and base ones of vetiver, patchouli, cedarwood and sandalwood,” according to WWD. Those things might sound a little out there on
paper a screen but–hey–we trust Pharrell.
