Sure, the Oscars are glamorous and esteemed and a major cultural moment, but I think I'd rather attend an Oscars after-party than the ceremony itself. The casual atmosphere of the post-show bashes is way less "I'd like to thank the Academy" and way more (to quote Matthew McConaughey), "Alright, alright, alriiiiight." We saw some pretty amazing looks on the red carpet last night for sure, but the parties brought out some new fashions that totally reflected the more fun phase of the evening. Check out some of our faves:

After winning big last night, Lupita swapped out her princess Prada gown for this flirty Miu Miu dress. The sea foam fringe and buckled straps reminded us of a day spent at the beach—the perfect image for a first-time Oscar winner. Lupita held onto the same jewelry she wore at the ceremony and clutched her new statuette for the entire night (totally what I would do, too).
Transformation timeline from Echelon to Rayon

Jared Leto is a man of many talents. In addition to fronting Thirty Seconds to Mars and having some seriously enviable ombre hair to ever grace this Earth, he beautifully portrayed a transsexual AIDS patient named Rayon in Dallas Buyers Club. Jared went through a major physical change in a short amount of time for the role, so we figured, in honor of Jared's nomination for Best Supporting Actor, we would take a look back (mostly via Leto's own Instagram) at his transformation. Let's get this started.

Before undertaking the role of Rayon, Jared had a full beard and impersonated Abe Lincoln for fun. He wore his hair in a man bun.
Holland Roden for Byrdie.
Guess what. We just found another reason why winter needs to end ASAP (as if the arctic temperatures and slush puddles weren't reason enough). In a new photo shoot for Byrdie, Teen Wolf's Holland Roden slays some of spring's biggest makeup looks, and it's just the best. Seriously, if these photos are any indication of how my face is going to look come April, I'm welcoming spring forward with open arms. It looks like this season is going to be all about bright lips and colorful nails (and sunscreen, if you want a complexion as flawless as Holland's). Miss Roden tries out a number of different looks for the shoot, each one arguably cuter than the next. She kicks things off with matching fuchsia lips and nails, both of which stand out against her denim jacket and Bambi eyes.
One Direction thinking about That Moment.

Directioners, y'all better start bathing in Our Moment, because One Direction already has a new perfume on the way. In a video just released by the band, Harry reveals that a new edition of Our Moment, not-very-creatively named That Moment, will be released soon. Before we get to this new perfume, can we talk about the video? Is this 30-second clip the reason Harry was MIA when the band won its first award at the 2014 Brit Awards? He's in the same outfit and a dimly lit room—who knows how long he was hanging out in there. Is it called That Moment because of that moment when Harry was nowhere to be found? Some questions have no answers.
The new fragrance, Harry tell us, will take some of the old notes like "pink grapefruit and jasmine" and mix them with "green apple and violet." The best part, though (LBR, we're not buying it because of how it smells), is that it'll come in a "swanky new bottle." YAAAS. Swanky bottles are the best kind of bottles!! Let's check this bad-boy bottle out!
Lupita Nyong'o talks to 'Essence.'
You know how sometimes you just get so sick of your hair that you threaten to chop it all off? (Personally, I feel that way every summer. Subway neck sweat is NOT cute.) Well, Lupita Nyong'o, whose close-cut 'do has been the envy of everyone, waited almost two decades before indulging that urge. In a behind-the-scenes video from her forthcoming photo shoot with Essence, Nyong'o admits that the motivation behind her now-famous look was, in short (heh), laziness.
"I didn't always wear my hair short," she says. "In my adolescence, I always had long hair and it was relaxed. As of the age of 19, I just got really fed up with always going to the salon and it taking so much effort to look presentable before you leave the house. So, I just one day decided to cut it off, and I cut it all off! I was a skinhead and my mother was unamused," she says with a smirk and a giggle befit for her teenage self.
Rihanna straightening her hair, NBD.

In case you didn't keep up with Rihanna's 60-picture birthday extravaganza on Instagram, I suggest you do so right now. I mean, why would you deprive yourself? In between wearing entirely one color on the slopes and off, and sometimes even matching her lipstick to her outfit, Rih needed to make sure her hair looked good. Her new chin-length bob needs to be Mia Wallace-sleek at all times, and the best way to achieve that after frolicking in snow and hot tubs? Straightening her hair in the middle of her birthday celebration. Duh.
@badgalriri kept her Instagram followers up to date on the process, beginning with a photo of her in a chair, surrounded by balloons, straightener in hand. Rihanna, obviously, does not do her hair like most women.
Britney's new and newer 'dos!

Just when we were starting to get used to Britney Spears' prodigal return to her follicular roots, it looks like Brunette-ney up and changed her hair color yet again, y'all—which makes her new hue the third tint she's tried out this year. (Cue "Oops...I Did It Again" and/or "My Prerogative.") Spears started the year off as a blonde, toyed around with chestnut brown for the better part of February, and, according to pap pictures and fan photos from a meet-and-greet on Wednesday, is currently rocking a rich, red hue.
