Three things we're obsessed with: Katy Perry, Ellen Von Unwerth, and finding the perfect flat iron. All three in one place? Dreamy. We've always loved Katy Perry's campaign shots for hair tools giant ghd (which we've HEARD makes the best flat irons in all the land), which have previously been shot by the great David LaChappelle, but we have to say, this latest Ellen Von Unwerth-shot edition is far and away our fave. In previous Chappelle shoots the looks were heavily stylized, from mermaids to styles throughout the eras, to the roaring 20's, and although they stopped us in our tracks with their uber-glam beauty, the graceful, simple look of Von Unwerth's pictures has us really focused on what we're all here for anyway: Katy and the hair. Von Unwerth shoots the typically colorful singer in black and white, styled with a clean cat eye and porcelain skin, and Johnny Wujek tones down the glitter in exchange for a simple silk in one image, and a crystal embellished crew neck dress in the other (he HAD to have some sparkle somewhere, honestly). The hair in both images is flawless. From a retro loose look, featuring blunt, thick above the eyebrow bangs and a subtle wave, to a sleek, low side-ponytail.
Zac Efron in the John John Denim campaign.

Gulp. What's up with Zac Efron lately? We don't mean that as a rhetorical question, we seriously want to know what happened to him. He somehow became a man over the course of the past year, and we really, really can't handle it. See: The John John Denim campaign that came out yesterday. Like, WUT. We know there are clothes in these pictures, but we can barely see them. All we notice are super ripped biceps and chiseled jaws and scruffy beards, and oh my god, we're disgusting. MOVING ON. The shoot, photographed by Jacques Dequeker, shows off tons of distressed jeans, washed-out graphic tees, and studded denim jackets from the Brazilian clothing line. Zac Efron looks ANYTHING but sweet in these badass campaign photos, which were inspired by Fast & Furious (if you can't already tell). In his first look, he showed off a killer black leather vest over a sleeveless tee and faded jeans. Me-ow.
We knew it was only a matter of time before Solange Knowles was fronting a new fashion ad campaign and are happy to report our girl is the newest face of Madewell! We'd seen her use the selling powers of her flawless mug for good before - from Rimmel London to the now Rihanna-fronted Armani Jeans - but ever since she signed with Next Models, we could just about SMELL the new gig coming. And honestly, we think this pairing is a perfect fit!
P!nk is the new CoverGirl.

Yes, world. We have a new CoverGirl. Alecia Beth Moore, better known as P!nk, will be the newest face gracing your magazines and TV spots in the name of the cosmetics giant. The "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" singer joins a long list of legendary CoverGirls including Rihanna, Ellen DeGeneres, Queen Latifah, and the brand's most recent title-holder Taylor Swift, but rest assured, Miss Moore is bringing her own CoverGirl steez to the campaign.
Nicki Minaj in the Adidas Originals campaign video.
YASSS. The moment has finally come! Remember back in April when we totally spotted Nicki Minaj and Jeremy Scott filming an adidas campaign in the streets of NYC? Well, after months of waiting/crying/shivering in anticipation, the video has finally premiered! And, eeee, there's even more amazingness than we expected. The video starts off with Nicki and J Scott oh-so-cutely hanging out in their technicolor, mix patterned puffy jackets, and then it cuts to other cool cities across the globe where we spot Sky Ferreira and Big Sean chilling together in their decked-out adidas Originals gear. But, um, the biggest (and perhaps best?) surprise of all is when we spot our FAVE K-pop group 2NE1 bust out some serious dance moves in the streets of Tokyo smothered in head-to-toe Jeremy Scott x adidas gear. #dead
Lady Gaga in her new Fame fragrance ad.
Photo: Via Lady Gaga
By now, Lady Gaga has pulled out ALL the stops to promote her new Fame fragrance—the debut ad featured her lying in the nude with little men crawling all over her body (don't ask) with the lovely black liquid-filled bottle propped in her hand, which was followed by a fashiony-yet-oddly-confusing mechanical, pulsating black and white video with the Haus Laboratories' workmen concocting her mysterious dark-tinted fluid while wearing overalls and, um, not much else. Last night, Gaga revealed yet another campaign image featuring a mirrored shot of Mother Monster herself sporting a head-to-toe latex ensemble. And when we say "head to toe," we MEAN head to freakin' toe, y'all.
Azealia Banks in the T by Alexander Wang campagin.

Fun fact: Today is my birthday (YAY, ME!), and let me just say that I could NOT have received a better gift than this, y'all—Azealia Banks stars in Alexander Wang's latest T Fall 2012 campaign video! Eeee. In the black and white, 53-second vid of pure awesomeness, Azealia gets down in killer crop tops, body-con dresses and varsity jackets to her song "Van Vogue" from the recently-released 1991 EP. Her long, luscious waves FLY as she hops around in Wang garb to her '90s-inspired hit, and it's absolutely HYPNOTIZING. I've already watched it 8 times. #happybirthdaytome
At MTV Style, we're gearing up for Back To School season, bringing you all the hottest trends for your new year debut, and so is Selena Gomez who's hard at work promoting the forthcoming fall collection of her Dream Out Loud exclusive KMart collaboration. Sel teased the upcoming campaign with a quick snap from the shoot, but now, she's releasing a full video of behind-the-scenes footage from her time spent filming the DOL commercial.
Beyonce's Midnight Heat perfume campaign.

It looks like our girl Beyonce is following in the (very, very successful) footsteps of fellow siren-turned-fragrance-tycoon Jennifer Lopez, rolling out yet another version of her premier fragrance Heat. I mean, J.Lo turned perfume-making into an über-lucrative 10-year career, and who doesn't want that? Bey's latest iteration, Midnight Heat offers a fruitier, spicier scent than the OG Heat's floral musk, and the brand new campaign photo appropriately sets the mood for the midnight perfume.

With his music career, fashion following, and crazy good looks, Mark Ronson is setting the bar really, really high for all the other dudes out there today. But hey, we're not complaining! He clearly knows his stuff. He dropped by MTV back in 2010 to fill us in on his then-bleach blonde hair, men's fashion, and obsession with jazz shoes, and since then the British DJ and musician has cemented his place in our hearts with his audacious style sense. After all nobody can work a pink suit quite like him. For his latest project, the well-coiffed fashion plate and member of multi-talented Ronson clan is lending his face to Fendi's debut men's fragrance. The Grammy winner fronts the campaign for Fan di Fendi Pour Homme, the first cologne produced by the Italian fashion house. According to French VOGUE, the brand wanted someone "both modern and rock 'n roll" who would embody Fendi's view on masculinity. Needless to say, it's a perfect fit.
