That didn't last very long. A mere month ago, a flaxen-haired Sky Ferreira was announced as the newest face of Redken and quickly opted to return to her brunette roots for the occasion. (Well, mostly. Her brunette eyebrows got the bleach treatment. #rolereversal) But now, according to some behind-the-scenes photos from photographer Eli Schmidt, Ferreira's hair will be back to its bleach blonde ways for her first official commercial. (Her eyebrows, however, are brown again. If you're getting confused, just imagine how her scalp feels.)
Rihanna and Kristen Stewart strip down for new ads.

SEE? We TOLD you the topless trend was happening. (Polar vortex be damned, apparently.) Two major beauty campaigns just dropped, and each ad features a shirtless star. First of all, props to anyone who dares to bare that much skin post-holiday binge. (Celebrities! They're nothing like us!) Second of all, my teeth are chattering just looking at these ladies. Granted, they no doubt had central heating wherever these shoots took place, but everyone else is talking about the weather this week, sooo when in Rome.
Rihanna on the set of her Balmain campaign.

Late last year (that joke never gets old, right?), Rihanna nonchalantly dropped what looked to be her ENTIRE Balmain campaign on Instagram. A campaign that has BadGalRiRi wearing houndstooth suits in abandoned steam rooms is a surefire win in our books, but we might even love the behind-the-scenes look even more. Candid Rihanna! Getting her hair and makeup done! Pacing around the set in a head-to-toe j'outfit! It's the best. Balmain has established a permanent place in our BTS-loving hearts by releasing not one, but THREE videos of Rihanna's campaign!
At the beginning of November, before she decided to hibernate and leave us in the lurch, Nicki Minaj previewed one of the looks she'd be wearing in a commercial for her Kmart collection on Instagram. Well, that commercial was finally released, and it doesn't just feature Nicki in one outfit but multiple Nickis in multiple outfits! It's like a remake of Multiplicity starring Nicki Minaj! If you thought Lady Gaga wore a lot of wigs, just wait till you see how many Nicki manages to include in a 30-second commercial.
Rita Ora in Times Square.

Word on the street is Rita Ora, sometime singer/model and newly cast actress in Fifty Shades of Grey, went and got herself yet ANOTHER gig with DKNY—this time, as the face of their brand new fragrance franchise. DANG! Is there anything this girl can't do? WWD reports that, while the company has yet to comment, Ora will be the spokeswoman for a scent that's set to launch in fall 2014. We're guessing it smells like money (on Ora, at least).
Adding fodder to the rumor mill, Rita was snapped yesterday in Times Square doing all the things we've come to associate with recent DKNY fashion ads (e.g. cheesing hard, posing in cabs, posing on cabs, looking windswept in the street), and we can't help wonder: Are they already shooting her first campaign? Sure looks like it!
Rihanna for Balmain Spring/Summer 2014.

Well well well, looks like Rihanna has landed herself a new gig. Earlier this morning on Instagram (duh, where else would Rih break news?), Bad Gal announced that she's the face of Balmain's Spring/Summer 2014 campaign, delivering the deets and giving us the first look in one fell swoop.
The ads, which were shot by Inez and Vinoodh and styled by Rihanna's go-to guy, Mel Ottenberg, feature colorfully dressed Rih set against a monochromatic, tiled background. A steam room minus the steam, it would appear—more high fashion than I've ever found in a steam room, but Rihanna hangs out in more luxurious places than I do, so maybe wearing a j'outfit with gold-chain stripes is the norm in saunas of the rich and famous? IDK.
Sky's new 'do.

If Sky Ferreira put "become the face of a major hair-care brand" on her Christmas list this year, then she must have been RULL good, because that's exactly what she got! (Ugh. Why didn't I think of that?!) Ferreira, who's been tearing up the airwaves with her debut studio album, Night Time, My Time, just announced on her Tumblr that she's officially the new face of Redken. In order to prepare herself for the first campaign, the singer/model made a drastic move by taking her hair from bleached blonde to dark brown! Her eyebrows made the ol' switcheroo, too, but with a twist: Her formerly dark-brown brows are now blonde! V edgy.
Erykah Badu is the face of Givenchy's spring 2014 campaign.

Givenchy is continuing its streak of casting famous faces in its campaigns, and for spring 2014, the label has tapped legendary singer-songwriter Erykah Badu! Style.com got an exclusive look at the images and chatted with Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci about his decision to cast the singer, who, he says, "is one of the most stylish women [he's] met in [his] life."
Tisci said that he had Erykah on his mind when designing the 2014 spring collection, which will feature a combination of African and Japanese influences. The black-and-white campaign image, shot by Mert & Marcus, features a short-haired Badu in what is essentially a poncho with the shoulders cut out. The beguiling top has no sleeves and no obvious collar, but instead hangs from two thick straps around her neck. On the runway, the bright graphic on the front looks like it's made of sequins, but in the ad, it's completely muted, giving the piece an entirely different feel.
Kristen Stewart and Karl Lagerfeld, hanging out in fingerless gloves.

Last night, at a rodeo-inspired Chanel runway show, Kristen Stewart was named the new face of Chanel, with a campaign landing in the spring of 2014. If none of the words in the preceding sentence made sense (Chanel, rodeo, Kristen Stewart), lemme explain.
Every year, Karl Lagerfeld hosts a Chanel Métiers d'Art presentation, which is a collection of pieces between the fall and spring seasons. This has taken place all over the globe. In the past, the show has occurred in Scotland, Toyko, and Bombay. This year, however, Karl opted for the slightly less-exotic city of Dallas, Texas, to show his Americana-inspired collection, proof that people will go wherever Karl Lagerfeld tells them to go. The rodeo-ready collection is heavy on fringe, tiered skirts, and denim—three design elements that don't appear often in Chanel offerings (though sometimes things happen). Kristen Stewart, fan of sheer jumpsuits, will be the face of this collection.
