Spring has officially sprung in New York (UGH, FINALLY), and on top of light-weight sneaker weather, prom mania, and festival fever, the rising mercury is a cue for the onslaught of WEDDING SEASON. That means bridesmaid dresses, coordinated accessories, and family-appropriate party togs for guests, and Nordstrom wants to make sure you think of them for all your wedding-time needs. The major retailer has even enlisted the help of two of the hottest dudes in music, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, for a little campaign video help.
A still from the behind-the-scenes video of Beyonce's "Mirrors" Pepsi commercial.

As if the "Mirrors" Pepsi commercial that Beyonce premiered yesterday (along with close to a FULL minute of her new song "Grown Woman") wasn't enough to tide us over to the weekend, the Pepsi x Bey team rolled out a behind-the-scenes video look at the campaign shoot. AFKGLJDFLKAJ. Candid King Bey traipsing around in a robe? Rehearsing her dance steps in sky-high heels? Reflecting on her star-spangled career between takes? Yes, yes, a thousand times, YES. We want it all. The video features interviews with Mrs. Carter herself along with Global Beverage Group at PepsiCo President Brad Jakeman, the commercial's director Jake Nava (also the mastermind behind the "Single Ladies" and "Crazy In Love" videos *WINK*), and choreography director Frank Gatson, but our personal fave is obviously the iconic music video wardrobe breakdown by Bey's long-time trusted stylist Ty Hunter.

It takes a LOT for us to set our alarms extra early in the morning, but if there's anyone we'll do it for, it's Beyonce. Yesterday the superstar hinted that something huge would be coming at 9 AM on 4/4/13, and she stayed true to her word, dropping her brand new Pepsi commercial upon the world bright and early today! Although an ad might not be quite as heart-stopping as a new music video, the clip (featuring a preview of her new song "Grown Woman") DID take us down Bey memory lane. It's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it game of Beyonce style trivia with her most iconic music video looks, all stuffed into this one minute commercial. We're talking about that pink one-shouldered crop top and slit skirt from "Bootylicious," the white tank and denim hotpants from "Crazy In Love," and the black leotard and Sasha Fierce hand from "Single Ladies." Are your brains exploding yet?! There's moreee!
Danny Brown in Uniqlo's "Life in a Minute" video portrait.

The creative geniuses over at Uniqlo have already given us some really cute clothes (and a case of hair envy!) to look forward to for spring 2013, but the Japanese retailer isn't finished quite yet. It's serving up another helping of style, this time starring the one and only Danny Brown. The rapper and former Mark McNairy model is part of the brand's UT TruckShop, a seasonal promotion that takes Uniqlo's rad new UT tees on the road... literally. Danny will join fellow faces like Miss Info and Curtis Kulig at pop-up events, performances and t-shirt stores around New York City this April. Before all THAT kicks off (his performance is this weekend!), check out Danny's new campaign video. His is the first of Uniqlo's "Life in a Minute" clips, which give us an intimate peek inside each artist's life in a mere 60 seconds. Watch it below, and find out more about the campaign here!
Courtney Love for Saint Laurent Paris.
Photo: Hedi Slimane/Dazed Digital
As far as fashion rock stars are concerned, Hedi Slimane is the top of the heap, so it's only natural that he would enlist the help of some actual rock stars for his latest Saint Laurent Paris portrait series. We already shared the first glorious image, of Marilyn Manson, with you last week, and now we have not one but THREE more images from the campaign for you to feast your eyes upon. Slimane recruited Courtney Love, Kim Gordon, and Ariel Pink to style themselves in looks from past and present collections, and the results are austere, brooding portraits that function almost as a branded extension of Slimane's ongoing Rock Diary project. Initially we thought this was Slimane's latest SLP campaign, but further info courtesy of Dazed has revealed that like with all of his endeavors the boundary pushing designer-slash-photographer isn't doing anything the traditional way.
You know, we're starting to get used to this whole Saint Laurent Paris thing. Sure, we miss the ol' YSL days, but ever since former Dior Homme creative director Hedi Slimane took over the fashion brand, we've been loving his black and white ads that feature moody portraits of our favorite musicians. Earlier this year, Beck was front and center in his campaigns and Grimes even collaborated on a capsule collection with the designer. But you'd never guess who Hedi picked as the face of his newest ad—Marilyn Manson! I mean, yeah, you probably knew from the headline and photo above because y'all can read, but, guys, this is uh-mazing.
Beyonce for H&M Summer 2013.

Holy mother of announcements. THE RUMORS WERE TRUE. Beyonce really was shooting a campaign for Swedish retail juggernaut H&M in the Bahamas earlier this year, and boyoyoyoy, does she look beautiful! Just in time for the onslaught of spring (come on, Mother Nature—New York is ready for it...) AND for the kick-off of her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour come April 15, H&M will soon begin rolling out commercials, print ads, and outdoor billboards for the fashion house's summer campaign starring "Beyonce as Mrs. Carter in H&M."
Rita Ora for Superga.

So we've been keeping some very close tabs on Rita Ora's new modeling gig as the face of Italian sneaker company Superga (see exhibits A, B, and C), but while much of our, uh, "research" thus far has been restricted to rumors and Instagram pics, now we can finally witness the campaign in all of its hi-res glory! Straight from the brand itself, these pics showcase Rita showing off her true sneaker steez— making even a long silk dress and a full face of makeup look streetwear-cool with her tan lowtops. Complete with soft, Marilyn Monroe-esque waves and retro sunglasses, Rita's look has fully convinced us to push the rest of our shoe stash aside for the moment. This spring, it's ALL about sneakers. #sorryimnotsorry
Frank Ocean for Band of Outsiders.
Photo: Band of Outsiders
In a little under a year, Frank Ocean has catapulted from being relatively unknown to releasing a buzzworthy debut album (Channel Orange) and garnering Grammy accolades for said release. But it's not just the music world that Ocean is dominating, this past year, he's also been getting love from the fashion community, hobnobbing with the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, posing for GQ magazine, attending his first-ever Fashion Week in Paris, and NOW, he's starring in his first ever fashion campaign. Frank is lending his smiling eyes and pearly whites to Band of Outsiders for the label's newest Polaroid campaign (previous stars have included Michelle Williams, Harry Potter dudes Rupert Grint and Tom Felton, and Kirsten Dunst), and the result is devastatingly heart-warming.
It seems like forever ago when we first announced that Rita Ora was replacing Alexa Chung as the new face of Superga—which, in blog years, 6 months totally is— but not to worry, because the singer's official campaign has landed! Rita is the face of the sneaker brand's Spring/Summer 2013 collection, and she Instagrammed a sneak peek of the ads earlier this morning. The debut image shows the pop star-slash-NEXT model chilling in the recording studio wearing the Italian label's classic white low tops. We're already extremely well-aware that Rita Ora is a steadfast sneaker fan, but rather than wearing them with maxi dresses or jumpsuits, this time the singer's paired 'em with lacy pink shorts and an off-the-shoulder sweater.
