POP QUIZ! What do Rihanna, Rita Ora, and Santigold have in common: (A) They've all had long-standing positions on our most frequently played tracks list; (B) They're all a part of the Roc Nation family; (C) They've all collaborated with major cosmetics brands for limited-edition collections; (D) All of the above. Did we stump you? The answer is (D), and if you weren't aware that Santigold is the latest celeb to roll out her own line of makeup—well, now you know!
Kanye West on 'Late Night With Seth Meyers.'

Last night, Kanye West was a guest on the second episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers, and, as usual, he talked about fashion. What was unusual, at least according to the internet, was the tone with which he spoke. It was soft, and his notoriously unwieldy comparisons were (mostly) in check, seeming to better illustrate his point. The thing is, though, that what he said last night is, bare bones, the same stuff he's been saying for months. All he did was lower his voice.
Chains on chains.
In January, Nicki Minaj previewed a bunch of looks from her spring collection with Kmart. We noticed several new items, including cropped T-shirts, shorts, and high-rise jeggings. What we didn't notice, until we peeped the full collection on Kmart's website, was how many chain prints Nicki has introduced for spring. It's as if throwback Chanel and Versace gave birth to octuplets made from spandex! Sort of.
Nicki's love for chains and chain prints comes as no surprise, actually. Her Minajesty has worn a Chanel chain belt on many occasions, and a very ornate chain print appeared in the first collection. Now, though, she's amped the print up into multiple iterations and sprinkled them on the majority of the clothes.
Katy Perry knows about accessories.

Katy Perry just made dressing for her upcoming Prismatic World Tour a cinch. Today WWD revealed that the singer is teaming up with Claire’s on a line of accessories inspired by her new album. Talk about a match made in heaven. Claire’s was already the sparkling beacon of the mall—just imagine how much shinier it’s going to get once Perry’s inevitably holographic gear hits its shelves. If there’s one thing we know about Katy Perry, it’s that she can’t resist a theme.
Santigold x Stance socks.

If this decade's fashions have taught us anything, it’s that socks can make an outfit. The underrated accessory finally had its street-style moment last year after dominating the runway in 2012 (Prada, Bottega Veneta, Victoria Beckham, Michael Kors—the list goes on) and being championed by Rihanna back in 2010. Now, thanks to Santigold, the accessory’s cool stock just went up again.
Snag some OVO from Nordstrom!

If you aren't already on your way to Toronto to pick up one of Drake's 2014 varsity tour jackets from Roots Canada, then we are seriously starting to doubt your devotion to Drizzy. JK! We weren't able to swing a flight either. But we did catch wind of a pretty great alternative if you're sweatin' some limited-edition October's Very Own gear (you'll still have to go to Canada for that jacket, though). Starting TODAY, February 14th, Nordstrom will officially become the first national retailer to carry apparel by OVO. #HYFR
The exclusively designed merch, including sweatshirts, T-shirts, and knit caps, is debuting as a part of Nordstrom's ongoing Pop-In Shops project. Launched in October 2013, the specialty shops house a series of themed collections that rotate every four to five weeks. This time, the theme is "Heartbreakers Club," which Nordstrom says is "inspired by men with heartbreakingly good style." Check! Drake definitely qualifies. BRB while I put a Band-Aid on my aorta.
Drake debuted the jacket on 'Saturday Night Live.'
Photo: NBC's Facebook Page
In January, Drake hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time. Remember? As the show began, he sauntered onstage with a big grin and proceeded to ace his first monologue. He was wearing charisma, confidence, and a fine lookin' letter jacket. You may have admired this quality jacket. The craftsmanship. The signature OVO crew details. The way it seemed to give him just a little bit more Drake Power.
Well, good news! You too can get your very own extra Drake Power, as long as you've got $458 to drop and maybe a ticket to Toronto. Drake teamed up with Roots Canada to launch his 2014 tour jackets, and they'll be available starting February 15 at a Toronto Roots location. So far this is the only information available—one might wonder if they'll be up for sale elsewhere? But considering his 2011 Roots jacket collaboration was a limited edition and sold out quiiiiiickly, this might be a campout situation.
Rita Ora for Rimmel.

Hey, #RITABOTS! Consider your uniform (almost) complete. Yesterday, Rita Ora's new Material Girl campaign dropped, providing us with some graphic-print goodness for our spring wardrobe. Today, Ora decided to give us a sneak peek of her upcoming Rimmel London campaign, which pretty much gives us the icing on our sartorial cake (i.e. lipstick).
With her platinum bob tussled into chunky waves, Ora flashes a perfect pout in a deep crimson color that better be included in her upcoming collection for the British beauty brand. We got a brief glimpse of the line back in October, when Rita shared some BTS snaps from her shoot and a quick look at the chubby lipstick "crayons" she created for her debut makeup collaboration.
Solange just released a TON of sneak-peek pics from her "Girls of Blaze" Disc Collection campaign for Puma, and you better grab your sunglasses because this ish is BRIGHT. Her debut as art director for the sporty kicks brand dropped in November, and while the focus there was prints on prints on prints, these ads are all about color on color on color. And we are INTO IT.
