I’ve got 99 problems, and the fact that I was not able to personally attend the Veronica Mars movie panel at Comic-Con covers all of them. My poor little fan girl heart needs some rest after all of this Marshmallowy goodness. Not only did we spaz out when we heard creator Rob Thomas sobbed while watching Logan and Veronica’s first kiss (he’s one of us!!), but the VMars dudes clearly had something special planned and decided to engage in a little fan trolling. Jason Dohring wore a "Team Piz" shirt (I wonder how Logan Echolls would feel about that) while Chris Lowell rocked a "Team Logan" shirt. Chris went on to explain that "I wore this shirt today just so I wouldn't be shot on stage." When Kristen Bell was asked who taught Jason his killer smolder, though, she replied simply with, "The heavens?" Dang, LoVe is in the air, y'all.
Comic-Con: where nerds and pop culture junkies come together peacefully and bombastically. This year’s four-day frenzy of panels and sneak peeks will feature films and TV shows that fall on both ends of the geek spectrum. Yes, there will be previews of some HUGE upcoming blockbusters, but you betta believe there will be just as many Pokemon tournaments and workshops with graphic novel publishers.
If you listen very carefully, you will probably be able to hear thousands of super fans finalizing the details on their elaborate costumes. Cosplay is one of THE coolest parts about conventions like Comic-Con. (Seriously, you should see some of the mind-blowing outfits people show up in.) When celebrities themselves show up in costume, that’s when we nerds really start to go crazy. Usually it’s something small, like Robert Downey Jr. sporting one of his Iron Man arms, but I’d love to see the stars REALLY let their inner freaks and geeks out. Here are some of my ideal celebrity cosplay suggestions for this year:
1. LIAM HEMSWORTH AND JENNIFER LAWRENCE AS KHAL DROGO AND DAENERYS TARGARYEN
Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth as Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo.

I’ve been withering away with jealousy all week at the thought of Comic-Con attendees getting to see sneak previews of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire without me. I guess I could learn to forgive everyone if the cast members show up in some jaw-dropping costumes. Actually, I’m going to be more demanding: I’ll only forgive them if they show up in Game of Thrones costumes. Sorry, those are my terms.
The hottest couple in all of Westeros and Essos is hands-down Daenerys and Khal Drogo (RIP, you beautiful man), and the world would never stop fangirling if Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth decided to go the Dothraki route with their cosplay. First of all, who wouldn’t love to see how J-Law looks in white hair? We can probably assume she’d look perfect, especially with her brown gloves and boots, belted leather skirt, and burlap (?) halter top. And essentially Liam would just have to be shirtless with some eyeliner and a long braid. You won’t hear any complaints from me.

San Diego Comic Con starts in a week which means now’s about the time the internet gets stoked on cosplay, superheroes and crucial plot/casting reveals in whatever franchises will dominate megaplexes in the months to come. Now, comics might not be your bag and that’s cool but I love 'em and follow some artists and writers on Twitter. Earlier this week, my pal Jamie McKelvie, a brilliant artist who lives in London (no seriously, [cronyism notwithstanding please check THIS out]), noticed that the fine folks who run the blog over at Urban Outfitters did a lazy-girl cosplay market post on his version of America Chavez, a.k.a. Miss America, from the Young Avengers.
Iconic Lady Gaga outfits are reimagined for "Going Gaga!" comic book.

San Diego's International Comic-Con may be over for the year, but our cup runeth over with findings from the animated weekend. Between the amazing cosplayers and K.Stew off-duty outfits, we've unearthed (by way of Mother Monster's Twitter account) this seriously awesome Lady Gaga comic book which we vehemently refuse to shut up about! Michael Troy and his Going Gaga! are not the first to render Miss Germanotta in ink (see: Fame: Lady Gaga parts 1 AND 2), but it does a FANTASTIC job of reimagining some of our favorite music video and performance outfits from Gaga's sartorial colorful career thus far. *INSTA-smile attack*
We're 100% in the mouth of the Comic-Con 2012 monster right now (which, in case you were wondering, is equal parts awesomely terrifying and cuddly, glittery anime eyes the size of our fists). We're nose hairs-deep in all things illustrated and fantastic and (chiefly) the resurgence of so many superheros from our childhood! From Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series to the Power Rangers' 20th birthday right down to Voltron's triumphant return to Comic-Con - it's all VERY exciting. In honor of all our animated nostalgia (and because, guys, retro graphics are reeeeeeally big right now), we're serving up some sweet inspired swag so that you, too, can wear your love for Comic-Con on your sleeve (or snapback). Enjoy!
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a total childhood staple for any '90s kid. From the animated TV series to the live action movie, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo were the leading
men turtles of our staff's lives for more than a few years. Thus, we FUH-LIPPED at first sight of this TMNT crewneck sweater ($39.99). Looking to keep things a bit more subtle? Opt for this Splinter t-shirt ($19.99) which pays homage to the sensei/adoptive father without outright screaming, "COWABUNGA, DUDES! Want some pizza??!" Looking for a Turtle staple that won't yield dirty looks if you wear it every day? Then, this turtle-green snapback ($14.99) is probably up your alley.
