The 1990s may be known as the grunge era, but in 1995, something cataclysmic happened in the world of cinema to change all that. Um, hello? We're totally talking about Clueless, aka one of the best teen movies of ALL TIME. It became a fashion phenomenon and catapulted star Alicia Silverstone, who plays Beverly Hills high schooler Cher, into superstar status. She singlehandedly stomped all over bland flannel and baggy jeans with super feminine, thigh-high, plaid mini-skirted abandon along with her best friend Dionne. Together, they wore matching outfits that were fresh off the runways and tailored to fit their personalities—such as Cher's to-DIE white Calvin Klein dress that is still relevant today—and spread their sartorial prowess to Tai (played by the forever-missed Brittany Murphy, RIP), the grunge-y new girl who gets a hilariously killer makeover.

Effie Trinket Hunger Games

We've been drooling over The Hunger Games: Catching Fire portraits since last spring, but we were seriously itching to see some new ensembles from the film and—GASP—our prayers have been answered! Yahoo released a photo of Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), Effie (Elizabeth Banks) and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) doing the District 11 salute onstage, and—while we love Peeta and Katniss' simply chic ensembles—we CANNOT tear our eyes away from Effie's frock. The oh-so-fashionable Capitol lady is know for her stylish ensembles, and this one happens to be a GORGEOUS Alexander McQueen spring/summer 2011 number straight from the runway.

Teen Wolf Stiles Scott

Another Monday, another amazing episode of Teen Wolf, y'all! We are particularly fond of tonight's style stars because it involves two of our favorite dudes (Scott and Stiles) matching! Awwww. The troubled twosome spend the entire episode as tartan twinsies in their coordinating unbuttoned-plaid-shirt-over-a-solid-tee-with-jeans ensembles. Scott sported a green Buffalo by David Bitton top (with seriously rolled-up sleeves to show off his biceps *gulp*) over a black American Apparel tank top, while Stiles wore a red and gray Vans shirt with a black Calvin Klein crew neck tee. They both styled their shirts the exact same way, and, you guys, even their hair is spiked the same.

Veronica Mars Purse

Marshmallows, we hope you're sitting down because we've got some serious Veronica Mars fashion info up our sleeves. In case you missed it (LOL, you didn't), we peeped the first-ever images straight from the set a couple weeks ago and obsessed over Veronica's style evolution from a baby-tee wearin' teen to edgy college student to a casual-cool lawyer (let’s not go down the wormhole of why she’s holding hands with Piz, OK?) in what we assume is New York with her Mackage trench coat and sensible workwear get-up. But thanks to photos that debuted on EW last week from a shoot day at the Santa Monica Pier (as pictured above), we got a peek at scenes with Ken Marino and Kristen Bell. Seeing Vinnie automatically made us channel his version of Hall and Oates' "Private Eyes", but we couldn't keep our eyes off--GASP--the return of her signature studded bag?!

Teen Wolf Fashion

Lydia Martin played by Holland Roden in 'Teen Wolf.'
Photo: MTV

Do you ever have those mornings where it's IMPOSSIBLE to pick out an outfit that'll be perfect for school and also a hit at a party later in the evening? *raises hand* We have. It's not always easy to pull off a casual chic look, but in tonight's episode of Teen Wolf, Lydia Martin schools us on the whole how-to-wear-a-cocktail-dress-to-school-but-not-look-weird thing, and we're taking some serious style notes. She's known for being the most fashionable girl at Beacon Hills High, so it's only appropriate we learn from the best, right? Right.

bill cosby show sweaters

Bill Cosby and his array of famous sweaters throughout years of filming 'The Cosby Show.'

Oh man, so there's this new and wonderful time-suck on the internet that's a bracket of all the Cosby Sweaters where readers can vote on which kaleidoscopic woven fever-dream they like best. The first round features all the crew necks, from baller-ass intarsia hearts, black-and-blue chiaroscuro, swiss darning to some very admirable appliqué and cord work.

Hovering over the thumbnail enlarges each sweater and inevitably Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable is doing something emo or hilarious because he is the best TV dad in the universe. While the poll (which starts tomorrow) is clearly a traffic driver to shill Bill Cosby's new book and features mislabeled categories (I'm pretty sure those aren't cashmere), it's still pretty fun. The best bit, however, is then taking it upon yourself to fall into the internet K-hole that is the following constellation of Cosby Sweater related searches.

kristen bell veronica mars

Kristen Bell on the set of the upcoming 'Veronica Mars' movie.
Photo: Splash News/WENN

I had to write like seven intros to this piece because I was so overcome with emotion that this thing is finally happening. Like, I knew that the Veronica Mars movie had been successfully kickstarted, surpassing their $2 million goal by $3.7 million, and that filming began for an early 2014 release, but now that I have to organize my thoughts to write a post about K. Bell's outfit I'm just...

I basically feel like Kristen Bell when she found out that sloth was coming to her birthday party.

So during the show's run first on UPN and then on the CW, we watched V Mars evolve from outcast high schooler to super sleuth in college and now we have the extraordinary privilege of watching her work as an adult. While the plot details of the feature-length are still under wraps, what we can gauge from these shots on-set is that Veronica is all about her business.

Teen Wolf Style

Lydia and Stiles.
Photo: MTV

If you're a die-hard Teen Wolf fan like us, you've spent nearly three seasons staring at Stiles' wacky tees, Lydia's on-point heels, and Allison's bohemian-chic frocks. But you know what? We. Want. More. We're sure you'll agree that sometimes just staring at the clothes just isn't enough. Like, we want to hear ALL the deets behind their on-screen ensembles. Lucky for you (and us!), we got a chance to catch up with the costume designer, Barbara Vazquez, who dished on the ins and outs of working with such an amazing (and seriously fashionable) crew. Check out the full interview below!

MTV STYLE: Thanks so much for talking with us! Tell us how you got hooked up with this amazing gig.

Barbara Vazquez: I worked under a costume designer named Keith Lewis for many, many years and then branched out on my own. I was with Tyler Perry for six years when he first started in the business, and I was Burt Reynolds’ personal dresser for a while. When they approached me with Teen Wolf, I was really interested because of Jeff Davis, the creator of Criminal Minds, and I’m a huge fan of his work. Then I met the cast and fell head-over-heels in love with them and knew that I needed to stay on this show because we are a very close-knit family. The cast and crew on this show, in 12-13 years, I’ve never seen anything like it; the dynamic from the people that work on this show. So it’s really nice to have that.

The Hunger Games Cinna

Photo: Capitol Couture

To say we're excited about the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie is definitely an understatement. We are SO. PUMPED. to see the entire gang (Katniss! Peeta! Effie!) back on the big screen decked out in their finest duds, and thanks to the relaunch of the Capitol Couture Tumblr, they have been satiating our need for all-things Hunger Games until then. So far, we've gotten a peek at the official character portraits and even spotted an interview with costume designer Trish Summerville, but if there's one person we're DYING to hear from, it's the Capitol's most sought-after stylist, Cinna--the man who set the girl on fire.

Lydia Martin Holland Roden

It seems like no matter what kind of drama is unfolding in Beacon Hills (see: killing of innocent virgins, etc. etc.), Lydia Martin still always manages to bust out her fashion and beauty A-game. In tonight's episode of Teen Wolf, our favorite redhead showed off her signature girly style, but opted for something a little more on the preppy side--and we like it! But first, we MUST mention her impeccable no-makeup-makeup look in which she sports nothing but mascara and a little bit of foundation. #GODDESS For her hair, she pulled half her strands back in a perfectly-messy 'do.

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
