You may have just shaken off the sleepy tryptophan after-effects of your Thanksgiving dinner, but Turkey Day comes a little late to TV's Upper East Side (thanks/no thanks to Hurricane Sandy). Last night was Gossip Girl's Season 6 Thanksgiving episode, and as with most family gatherings, there was plenty of drama to go around. The newly official couple, Serena (Blake Lively) and Dan (Penn Badgley) decide to host a holiday dinner, inviting all of their friends and much of their family to the mid-day fête (an easy way for the show writers to get a volatile combination of characters in one place at one time and FORCED to talk to each other). The biggest buzzkill bubbling under the surface? The fact that Dan's next Vanity Fair chapter is all about S. Yikes!

Blair (Leighton Meester) may have held up her end of their relationship pact, but Chuck (Ed Westwick) is still plagued by his quest to undo Bart (Robert John Burke). The success of Waldorf Designs junior line, though, leaves B with free hands to devote 100% of her scheming mind to helping out Chuck. Lily (Kelly Rutherford) may have finally been convinced of her husband's wrong-doings, and begins to help Chuck unravel his estranged father. Sage (Sofia Black-D'Elia) and her father Steven (Barry Watson) also turn up at dinner, and with a little help from Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg), Dan's Serena chapter sees the light of day. If you haven't caught up yet, we won't spoil the rest for you, but check back here weekly for our fashion recap!

Last week's Gossip Girl left us with two Season 6 game-changers: Ivy (Kaylee DeFer) having the clear upper-hand and Serena (Blake Lively) and Dan (Penn Badgley) being officially unofficially back together. Last night's "Save The Last Chance" episode does everything in the GG handbook to rectify the too-easy plot switch, throwing a fashionable soirée and smothering it in a bevy of schemes.

Of the former, Ivy deduces that the microfilms she's found in the back lining of Lily's (Kelly Rutherford) rainbow woman painting are the linchpin to Bart's (Robert John Burke) undoing. She uses the records' hot commodity status within the Bass family to pit father and son Chuck (Ed Westwick) against each other for her benefit AND the benefit of *holds breath for maybe not entirely unexpected reveal since this show loooooves reviving old characters this season* William van der Woodsen (Billy Baldwin). That's right, folks. Billy's back (again)! And this time, he isn't just Serena's dad or even Lola's (Ella Rae Peck) dad. This season, he and Ivy also evidently have some sort of relationship, and it involves kissing. Don't hold your breath for an Ivy: The Step-Mom plot twist just yet, though, because if we've learned one thing from six season of Gossip Girl, relationships on the Upper East Side are fickle at best.

Blair (Leighton Meester) kicks off her Waldorf Designs junior line to rave reviews — yes, even from Nelly Yuki (Yin Chang) — despite a little scheming hiccup courtesy of Constance's new Queen: Sage (Sofia Black-D'Elia). Nate (Chace Crawford) unwittingly tangles himself farther into the Bass family drama than he had hoped. And Dan (Penn Badgley) and his chapter pimp Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) remain largely unseen (in this episode, at least), but if you haven't caught up yet, we won't spoil the rest for you. Check back here weekly for our fashion recap!

With last week's Cotillion blow-out putting the Waldorf Designs name to shame, Blair's (Leighton Meester) mother Eleanor (Margaret Colin) makes her grand Gossip Girl Season 6 entrance in the middle of a patented B plotting line-up. The subject of this morning's summit of the minds and minions? How to bury Dan's (Penn Badgley) latest Vanity Fair write-up entitled "Blair Waldorf: The Queen of Scheme."

Sage's (Sofia Black-D'Elia) show-stopping Cotillion reveal involuntarily burnt bridges for both Humphrey and Serena (Blake Lively), sending them into exile while celebutant gossip-hungry media vultures staked out their latest whereabouts. All this time together and having just been dumped by Steven (Barry Watson) also resurges Serena's latent feelings for Lonely Boy which seem more possible now that Lily (Kelly Rutherford) and Rufus (Matthew Settle) called their marriage quits.

Chuck (Ed Westwick) continues to grapple with his efforts to take down Bart (Robert John Burke) but makes some serious headway this episode with help from Nate (Chace Crawford). The two track down the location of a very important, very secret key to Bart's undoing. Unfortunately, getting their hands on it proves even more difficult as it unknowingly gets swept up into the Lily vs. Rufus and Ivy (Kaylee DeFer) art auction/showdown but if you haven't caught up yet, we won't spoil the rest for you. Keira Knightley as 'Anna Karenina'
Photo: Laurie Sparham/ Focus Features

Fashion and movies go together like Mary-Kate and Ashley, Rita Ora and her sneaks, and sample sales and long lines,. In other words, PERFECTLY. And it's tough to find a film that epitomizes this closerthanclose connection between the two than Joe Wright's big screen adaption of Anna Karenina, which opens this weekend. The Hollywood version of Leo Tolstoy's classic 1877 novel intertwines all the drama of the original (love, gossip, betrayal? Consider us sold.) with thoroughly modern touches like a seriously theatrical overtone and a glamorous sheen that's evident from the intricate hats all the way down to the floor-skimming skirts. But while it's all predictably gorgeous on the outside, we wanted to get the FULL story behind Keira Knightley and co.'s movie outfits. So we hopped on the phone with the film's costume designer, Jacqueline Durran, who called in from L.A. to give us all the answers...

Good morning, loyal Gossip Girl fans! Believe it or not, amidst all five of those Frank Ocean tracks playing over the GG dialogue, there was an Upper East Side plot unfurling! Blair's mother (Leighton Meester) Eleanor (Margaret Colin) is concerned with the poor performance of Waldorf Designs under B's watch and threatens her daughter with an ultimatum. In response, Blair attempts to kickstart the sales by enlisting Sage (Sofia Black-D'Elia) for another headline-making outfit at her upcoming Cotillion. It's worth noting that since the GG writers introduced a new high school-age character, this gave the unique opportunity for Nate (Chace Crawford) to rack up his third career debutant party.

Serena (Blake Lively) may be close to the Spence family, but it seems she's the last to know about the Cotillion as beau Steven (Barry Watson) neglects to invite her until the very last minute. Unnerved by Steven's odd behavior, S does some snooping and discovers a whopper of a diamond ring in Steven's briefcase. Sage walks in on S giddily reacting all of the ring, and everyone realizes what's going on. Steven is going to propose! Or at least, intends to, so long as nothing/no one gets in the way, like, say his vengeful daughter who makes it her mission to destroy the impending engagement. Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Ivy (Kaylee DeFer) forge an unlikely partnership by way of their vendettas against Bart (Robert John Burke) and Lily (Kelly Rutherford) respectively, but it's way overshadowed by the drama that goes down after Sage gets her hands on some stolen footage from Georgina's (Michelle Trachtenberg) phone. If you haven't caught up yet, we won't spoil the rest for you, but check back here weekly for our fashion recap!

After a brief recess, Gossip Girl picked back up last night with Episode 4 of the teen dramedy's *sniffle* sixth and final season. "Portrait of a Lady Alexander" opens with Nate (Chace Crawford) mourning the loss of Dan's (Penn Badgley) Upper East Side exposé to Vanity Fair. And just to make matters worse, what's the subject of Lonely Boy's second Inside installation? Nate's majorly under-performing, spiralling Spectator. Dan's scathing review of the young Archibald's character sends up red flags with Sage's (Sofia Black-D'Elia) father/Serena's (Blake Lively) boyfriend Steven Spence (Barry Watson) who threatened to force Sage to stop seeing Nate. Serena saves Sage's day and relationship, endorsing Nate's many good guy qualities and convincing her boo Steven to give her friend a shot.

Meanwhile, Blair (Leighton Meester) takes a break from helming Waldorf Designs to help Chuck (Ed Westwick) figure out what his father Bart (Robert John Burke) has been hiding and why he faked his death all those years ago. His pursuit for the truth drives the wedge further between father and son but also between Bart and Lily (Kelly Rutherford). Lily does her best to transition smoothly to life after Rufus (Matthew Settle), but leaving the relics of her old life in a Brooklyn loft with a vengeful Ivy Dickens (Kaylee DeFer) is a recipe for trouble, but if you haven't caught up yet, we won't spoil the rest for you. With every new episode, we're inching closer to the end of Gossip Girl. While this third ep "Dirty Rotten Scandals" was devoid the customary weekly high society soirée, it did include another GG favorite: a fashion show! Despite completely missing New York Fashion Week, Blair (Leighton Meester) makes her public debut at the helm of Eleanor Waldorf Designs with this mid-October runway show, but not without enduring a few hang-ups along the way. Busy B runs herself ragged to the point of severe exhaustion and dehydration, but lucky for her, Chuck (Ed Westwick) swoops in, taking time off of his quest to usurp power from his father Bart (Robert John Burke) to wield his impeccable understanding of Blair's taste all over the Waldorf runway.

Dan (Penn Badgley) and Nate (Chace Crawford) partner up for the launch of Humphrey's Inside reboot (now with real names!) in The Spectator. The subject of Lonely Boy's first post? His dear old dad, Rufus (Matthew Settle). Serena (Blake Lively) juggles some family issues of her own this episode. Nope, we're pretty sure Lily (Kelly Rutherford) still has no idea where her daughter is. We're talking about Serena's new beau Steven (Barry Watson) and his wily and angsty daughter Sage (Sofia Black-D'Elia). Sage gives B and S a run for their scheming money, but if you haven't caught up yet, we won't spoil the rest for you. Check back here weekly for our fashion recap!

With just 10 episodes comprising this sixth and final season of Gossip Girl, each weekly installation brings us closer to knowing the long-concealed identity of Gossip Girl and *sniffle* the end of an era. But just because the GG writers have a limited amount of time to wrap up story lines definitely doesn't mean they're skimping on the character adds. This season introduces Nate's (Chace Crawford) newest love interest, Sage (Sofia Black-D'Elia), and Serena's (Blake Lively) new beau, Steven (Barry Watson), and the episode kicks off with a messy relationship triangle square involving all four.

Hell-bent on usurping his father Bart's (Robert John Burke) unjust assumption of power over Bass Industries, Chuck (Ed Westwick) has devoted his time to uncovering the dark secret that caused Bart to fake his death back in the day. Meanwhile, Blair (Leighton Meester) rounded up some minions to help ensure that Waldorf Designs' change-of-hands continues to go as smoothly as possible. And Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) acts as Dan's (Penn Badgley) publicist and manager, shopping for the perfect outlet to publish Lonely Boy's Upper East Side tell-all take-down. If you haven't caught up yet, we won't spoil the rest for you, but check back here weekly for our fashion recap!

I guess this is it. The final season of Gossip Girl is officially underway, and this first episode marks the beginning of the end. *single tear* With a whole summer between now and last season's finale, there was a lot of catching up to be done. Dan (Penn Badgley) spent his summer at a writing fellowship in Italy where he enlisted Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) to help him pen his next scathing exposé of the Upper East Side. We found Blair (Leighton Meester) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) going from wild nights together in Monte Carlo to serving out the rest of their summers sorting out business in different parts of the globe (Paris and Dubai, respectively), but promising they would end up together, you know, eventually.

Chuck's father Bart (Robert John Burke) and Lily (Kelly Rutherford) spent their vacation rekindling their old flame and returned home happy and relaxed with Rufus (Matthew Settle) barely an afterthought. That is, until they discovered Serena (Blake Lively) hadn't been home all summer and disappeared without a word. Lily called Nate (Chace Crawford) who had spent the last three months devising a plan to revive his newspaper The Spectator. Shocked by the news, he rounded up the rest of the friends and initiated a mission to find S and bring her home. After a major negotiation with Gossip Girl herself, Nate was able to lead everyone to Serena (or should we say Sabrina?) in Poughkeepsie where she had created a new life with a new beau (all in a few months???). If you haven't caught up yet, we won't spoil the rest for you, but check back here weekly for our fashion recap!

Just announced today! Johnny Depp will be honored with the 2012 MTV Movie Awards Generation Award live on Sunday night for his gigantic contribution to the film industry. Eeee! From Edward Scissorhands to Pirates of the Caribbean to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Johnny has been the leading man in some of the most iconic films of all time. During his nearly 30-year long career, he has also sported some of the most show-stopping onscreen ensembles we have ever seen. The makeup in his Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter get-up ALONE is worthy enough of standing ovation, but hey, let's take it alllll back to where it began—with some curly hair in a popular 1984 flick called A Nightmare on Elm Street.
