Selena Gomez Teen Vogue

Selena Gomez on the September cover of 'Teen Vogue.'

If there's one gal that is effortlessly gorgeous 24/7, it's Selena Gomez. In the September issue of Teen Vogue, the singer/actress/all around mini mogul let her natural beauty shine through in barely-there makeup and breezy hair while perusing the gorgeous Malibu shore. She sported a chambray American Eagle Outfitters shirt tied at the waist over a floral Jill Stuart bralet that we LOVE. She finished the look with a gold Gucci necklace, stacked rings, and Giles & Brother bracelet. Oh, and if you're wondering how Selena manages to look SO at ease in this cover shot, we think it has a litttttle something to do with how she related to the clothes she was wearing on set. Selena said, "It was really comfortable. It probably described my style more than any shoot I've done." Aww, that's what we like to hear!

Tavi Gevinson on the current issue of Bust.
Photo: Courtesy of Bust

It's rare that you get to see someone, who isn't a famous musician or actress, grow up before your eyes, but that has certainly been the case with Tavi Gevinson. Not to say that she's even "grown up" just yet--the Rookie editor is still only 16, but it seems like ages since she was a wide eyed 11 year old attending her first fashion week. Tavi is on the cover of Bust magazine this month, interviewed by one of her fellow Rookie editors about everything from her disillusionment with the fashion world, which occurred when Anna Wintour asked her, "When do you go to school?" while sitting front row with Tavi during fashion week, to her plans for the future. On the cover, Tavi is wearing her blond hair in the beehive hairdo that she taught so many girls how to do themselves on Rookie, and a soft, sage colored turtleneck sweater. Is it just us, or does the blogger-wunderkind look more than a little bit like Michelle Williams? It takes your breath away how much the teenager has changed since her days experimenting with hair color and layering, but it's also just right, and what being a teenager is all about.

Tavi looks California cool.

Inside the mag, Tavi looks more like herself, in a combination of colors and prints from the 90's, and classic pieces, calling to mind classic 50's high school style and the on-screen ingenues of the 60's. Flowery Dr. martens are paired with a printed poodle skirt and fruit punch colored lips, as Tavi sits on a garden wall that would not be out of place in her much beloved California, where she says she plans to move after high school. Read the article and see more photos here.

Robert Pattinson on the cover of 'BlackBook.'
Photo: Autumn De Wilde/ 'BlackBook'

Robert Pattinson can pull off a sleek Gucci suit like nobody's business, but we all know that the Cosmpolis star would rather wear beat-up jeans and a comfy t-shirt over formalwear any day. This is why we're excited to see him in his signature lowkey style, gracing the cover of BlackBook's fashion issue, no less. Oh, and did we mention it's the perfect excuse to take a break from all the K.Stew cheating drama while STILL getting your R.Patz fix? Well, it is. Fashion photographer Autumn de Wilde (who's also responsible for those gorgeous Rodarte x Los Angeles Philharmonic images) shot the actor in a California roller rink dressed in graphic tees, jeans, and the occasional plaid shirt. Spoiler alert: he wears them all very well.

Rita Ora on the August/September issue cover of 'Complex.'
Photo: Courtesy of 'Complex'

Phew, is it hot in here? Nope, our AC is on full blast, it's just these photos of Rita Ora on the cover of Complex. The British singer looks gorgeous as ever in her signature red lip, heavy cat eye and dark brows, punctuated by her beyond-enviable, super shiny blonde mane. For the cover shoot the mag put Rita in a sherbet colored, skin tight, two piece, crop-top-mini-skirt combo and a pair of black sneaker wedges, all by adidas x Opening Ceremony, and accessorized the look with bold bracelets by Ben Amun and Cartier, and an enormous watch, also by Cartier. The Back To School-themed shoot shows the 21 year old songbird traipsing around a library in a cropped Minimarket sweater and a pair of Monrow shorts, showing off that combination of street wear and sleek, sophisticated style that we love Rita for.

Justin Bieber's 2012 cover of "Rolling Stone."
Photo: Mark Seliger/Rolling Stone

Since Justin Bieber's latest Rolling Stone cover hit the interweb via Twitter, the inevitable comparisons have been FLYING. Much like the public's knee-jerk reaction to Bieber's "Boyfriend" music video, the cover snap and all it represents (you know, Bieber's "Hot, Ready, Legal" coming of age *wipes drool from corners of mouth*) has been juxtaposed with boy-to-man crossover success Justin Timberlake and his first solo Rolling Stone cover from 2002.

Gawker pointed out that the mag recycled Bieber's bold cover lines from Lindsay Lohan's 2004 Mean Girls era cover, and it's been brought up more than a few times around this office that the outfit Justin's sporting is pretty similar to the one Jennifer Lawrence wore for her Rolling Stone cover girl debut earlier this year. There's another crucial comparsion, though, that is outright BEGGING to be made: the one where we pit this 2012 cover outfit against the look he wore for his very first Rolling Stone cover just last year.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt GQ

I don't know anyone that doesn't have a slight crush on Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I mean, how can you not? He's got that lovable boy next door charm mixed with a KILLER fashion sense and super cute smile to boot. Whether he's dressed down in a T-shirt and jeans or all layered up in fall's biggest fashions, Joe can do no wrong. Case and point: His latest spread for the August issue of GQ where he shows off his fancier side. For his cover look, he channeled straight-up adorableness in a fitted gray tweed vest with a sky blue shirt and skinny polka dot tie. We love how the tie clip peeks out from under his vest and how the super short (and wide!) collar adds a vintage-y feel to his ensemble. Also, that messy-yet-styled hair is just putting us over the EDGE, y'all. *fans self* Obviously we need more JGL, STAT.

Rita Ora, ASOS

Rita Ora on the cover of September's ASOS Magazine.
Photo: ASOS Facebook

It's been a month since we first learned that ASOS had snagged U.K. songbird and our girl crush of the moment Rita Ora for the brand's magazine, and we've been stalking the social media front ever since for a glimpse of the new issue. And finally-finally- it's hereeee! The London-based retailer just premiered the cover on its Facebook page this morning, and it's every bit as awesome as we'd hoped. Rita Ora looks stunning in a plaid-printed top, a ripped mini, and, the piece de resistance, a studded and bejeweled denim jacket. The result is a wonderfully out-there mashup of '90s grunge motifs and modern day style...the best of both worlds has never been cooler.

Colyton Haynes Homme Essential

If y'all aren't watching Teen Wolf right now, you're missing out on some serious amazingness. See: One of the show's stars Mr. Colton Haynes (above). This TV drama is not only a killer (heh) show, but it's also bringing to light some of the rising Young Hollywood talent and their incredible style. We already knew that Colton has some serious acting chops, but, um, we're prettttty sure modeling couture clothes comes in at a close second. Colton covers the July/August issue of Essential Homme and his sultry summery spread is surely making our heads spin! In a dramatic (and inviting!) poolside shot, Colton sports a cashmere Gucci cardigan with nothing underneath (GULP) paired with floral jacquard Gucci pants that we LOVE. He finished the look with some patent leather Hermès oxfords and a clean-cut 'do. Mmmmm.

Rihanna

If you ever get a chance to take a visit to the mystical and magical MTV Style headquarters, you'll find us swimming eyeballs deep in fashion mags. Maybe you're envisioning all of the clumsy papercuts a scene like that would yield, but just pump the brakes on The Judgement Train™ for a second because being in these close-quarters with glossies is something we really enjoy. And as long as magazines like Harper's Bazaar keep pumping out brain-pettingly beautiful spreads like this here cover shoot with Rihanna, we won't be reconsidering our paper-wading practices any time soon.

Emma Stone

Just when we thought Emma Stone's reign over the summer magazine cover game was tapering off, along came August and the month's installment of British Vogue. The Amazing Spider-Man leading lady has graced the cover of more than four magazines in the last month, from Vogue to New York Magazine to Italian Glamour. Apparently, just because the Fourth of July is now under our belts, Emma doesn't have any plans to relinquish her title as Summer Cover Queen™ any time soon.
