Adam Lambert covers the 'Obsession' issue of Fiasco Magazine.

Excuse us for a sec while we pick our jaws up off the floor....because WOW. How amazing does Adam Lambert look on the cover of Fiasco magazine?! We may know and love the singer for his totally OTT outfits (see exhibits A, B, and C), but who knew he looked SO good rocking clean cut minimalism, too? He's on the new "Obsession" issue for the London-based publication, smizing hard in leather-trimmed overcoat, collared shirt and black tie. Oh, and get this— there's absolutely ZERO eyeliner in sight! This no-makeup look paired with his slick side-parted gray hair is such a departure from Adam's signature statement aesthetic, we almost wouldn't recognize him were it not for those piercing blue eyes. Bottom line: this is Glambert as we've never seen him before.
Rita Ora goes girly for 'Glamour' UK and models masculine pieces for 'Harper's Bazaar' UK.

With a handful of amazing singles, unforgettable live performances, and a new modeling contract under her belt, 2012 has been an absolutely epic year for Rita Ora. We're not exactly fortune-tellers, but we're still willing to place bets that 2013 is going to be equally as awesome for Jay-Z's Roc Nation protege. The U.K. singer already has one foot firmly planted in the future, with two magazine cameos for January, showing off just HOW versatile the star really is. The 22-year-old shows her girlier side on the cover of the new issue of Glamour UK working a sweepy side ponytail, a floral Christian Dior shirtdress, and not a sneaker in sight (!). It might be a different Rita than the one we're used to obsessing over for her kooky-cool style, but the girl pulls off this pretty femininity perfectly. Almost as perfectly as she does the menswear-inspired ensembles for Harper's Bazaar UK, we might add. Because let's be honest: two Ritas are ALWAYS better than one.
Yep, it's true—2012 is almost over, and, gosh, what a fashion-filled year it has been! From the breathtaking magazine covers to the oh-so-shocking haircuts to the incredible red carpet dresses, there certainly wasn't a dull fashion moment over the past 12 months. So sit back and relax as we reminisce about all our favorite style moments of 2012.
The hyper speed instant gratification of the Internet is awfully nice, but there's also something to be said for closing that laptop and cuddling up with your favorite glossy's new issue. There's the satisfaction of feeling the pages in your hands, that half paper half perfume ads fashion mag smell, that's the perfect combination of comforting and indulgent. I mean, until you get a paper cut, that is (we still work on the internet, after all). But seriously, we love fashion mags for many reasons, not least of which being their COVERS. Seeing our favorite celebs looking amazing, and often going out of their comfort zones. taking risks, and revealing new looks is something we look forward to every month. This was a big year for our fave mags AND our fave stars, which made picking our faves SO. HARD. But we did it, you guys. Just for you.
One Direction On Wonderland
One Direction (and puppies! on the November December cover of Wonderland.
One Direction and puppies. There's really nothing more to say, this cover speaks for itself. It's like Wonderland magazine has concocted a secret love potion that should never have been secret. It's a no brainer, right? You combine perfectly coiffed young pop stars, crisp collars and soft cashmere with snuggly, squirmy little white lab pups and what do you think is going to happen besides a collective gasp-swoon-faint combination.
Carly Rae Jepsen is Cosmo's January cover girl.

Carly Rae Jepsen is showing herself to have staying power. With a mega-hit like "Call Me Maybe," which was not only a smash on the radio and on the charts, but on the internet as well (but you know ALL about that, we're sure), there's always the danger that your pan-flash will be just that. The tune has been out for over a year now, though, and with a second album and a Billboard Rising Star of 2012 designation, it's fair to say that there's more to Jepsen than just one tune. She is also teaching us lessons on the versatility of a simple haircut, with her signature blunt bangs and thick, long mane taking her from viral videos to the red carpet and back. Now, she's not the first to sport the wash and wear cut (there might even be some Style staffers who have been rocking it since before "Call Me" was a glimmer in Carly's eye), but she manages consistently to make it look different from cover to cover, mag spread to mag spread. On the January cover of Cosmopolitan, Carly is artfully disheveled, with her bangs and chin-length layers pushed forward, very nearly obscuring her smudgy, smoky eye.
Nikki Reed covers the November/December issue of 'ZOOEY.'
Photo: via 'ZOOEY' magazine Facebook
Nikki Reed has played a troubled highschooler in Thirteen, a rebellious California girl in Lords of Dogtown, and an adopted Cullen in Twilight. But a '50s housewife? Mmmm, not so much... until now, that is. She may prefer to sport sleek column dresses and modern-looking metallics on the red carpet, but the writer-actress flexes her dramatic muscles even further in the November/December issue of ZOOEY magazine, channeling her inner Stepford wife in prim collars, pretty prints, and even leather driving gloves. The cover might be simple with its teal background and lack of splashy headlines, but as Lena Dunham's recent iD cameo proves, this straightforwardness (and Nikki's gorgeous glance) is exactly what makes this shot SO compelling.
Whilst stalking singer Natalia Kills' Twitter feed this week (as I do), my face began to leak/black heart began to beat as Kills revealed she’s gracing Dedicate magazine’s latest cover! She's in great company when it comes to the edgy French fashion mag's past cover girls, though, which have included other cat-eye superfans like Beth Ditto and Jared Leto (hehe). But we NEED to examine the drop dead gorgeousness that is the cover(s) ASAP. Uh huh, you read that right—TWO covers for which you can choose/drool upon. First up, I'm obsessed with the closeup cover number one showcasing Natalia's killer complexion, amazing Rooney Mara-rivaling bangs, and sultry goth lipstick pout. There's also a Rad Hourani vest over a leather collared shirt (with a zipper makes me QUITE happy) and don't even get me started on those banging brows and that shadowy smize.
Lena Dunham on the cover of 'iD' magazine's "Wise Up" issue.

With her cult-hit TV show, Miley-inspired chop, AND knack for knowing the ultimate beauty trends as they're happening, it's easy to say that Lena Dunham is officially having a moment. But helloooo, talk about the understatement of the century! Lena's fame is no flash in the pan, and we've got a feeling the New York filmmaker and actress isn't going ANYWHERE anytime soon. She's been killing the fashion scene as of late, turning out at the Met Gala, appearing in ASOS magazine, and now gracing the new issue of i-D. Fronting the December "Wise Up" issue, the Girls director and star shares the honor with THE one and only Grace Coddington (whose own winky perfect cover is also worth nothing). However, right now we're focused only on Lena, who looks totally stunning in an ASOS lip-print blouse, one eye covered by her fist...with her tat highly visible, of course. We always knew she was pretty, but something about her dark lashes, flushed cheeks, and reddish-pink lips take this natural beauty to the next level.
A$AP Rocky on the December/ January cover of 'Complex'.

Well, it’s official: A$AP Rocky is a certified fashionisto. The dude with the “Goldie” grin hasn’t even released an album yet (waiting until 2013 for Long.Live.A$AP is a major exercise in patience for us) and he’s already sitting pretty on the cover of the Dec/Jan issue of Complex. Spotting him in a super dreamy Alexander Wang bomber and a slew of sparkly gold charms, it’s impossible NOT to fall in love with the rapper all over again. A$AP Rocky is one of our favorite kind of boys – one that really and truly loves fashion… and reps it. Are we surprised? Nah. The dude’s got swagger for days and knows it. “These jeans are Balmain, and I wear them with a Supreme jacket,” he says in the interview. “Of course I’m influencing.” There’s something totally charming about the super tough persona mixed with an uber enviable wardrobe. A$AP Rocky could throw down hard in a rap battle against the greatest…but he might need to remove a few cocktail rings first.
Rihanna covers the December issue of 'GQ'.

Happy Monday, y'all! Here's something that's GUARANTEED to make your afternoon a little more exciting: Rihanna's new GQ cover has officially dropped, and let's just say it leaves very little to the imagination. The pop star fronts the magazine's December issue in, um, her birthday suit... and an AllSaints motorcycle jacket casually draped over her shoulders. She tweeted the cover out today, saying "GQ's man of the year?! When will your fave? #histoRih #GQ." And she's not exaggerating one bit— she IS making mag history as the only woman thus far to ever grace the publication's annual "Men of the Year" issue. But with a cover like this one, we've got a feeling all the guys out there won't be too disappointed...
Taylor Swift in the Dec/Jan issue of 'Harper's Bazaar.'

Guys, Taylor Swift has officially taken over all the fall/winter fashion mags. From Glamour to Marie Claire to ELLE, T-Swift's sparkling baby blues and blonde locks are the focus of everyone's attention as of late. Today she landed yet another killer photo shoot—this time with Harper's Bazaar—but, unlike her traditionally whimsical covers, she ditched her girly dress obsession for *gasp* TROUSERS. That's right, Tay Tay has an entire spread dedicated to pants. And, hey, if you think we're kidding when we say she's got a thing for frocks, check this out: She told Harper's she owns hundreds. "I'm in a predicament where I can't wear a dress twice or else it's pointed out in magazines, so"—she starts laughing—"unfortunately I have to shop for dresses all the time." (That doesn't seem so bad.) In one look from the spread, she sports an all-white Emporio Armani ensemble complete with Stella McCartney platforms, and in another outfit, she goes '60s mod chic in a monochromatic white Sportmax top paired with striped trousers and Alexander Wang pumps. Perf!
