Emma Watson in Christopher Kane's Green Carpet Challenge gown.

Child star, shmild star. At 23, Emma Watson is a grown Muggle woman—and The Edit’s got the pictures to prove it. Polished, poised and far, FAR from Hermione, the actress and eco-activist was recently tapped by Green Carpet Challenge creator, Livia Firth, to star in an editorial spread that supports ethical fashion AND looks super pretty. BTW, if you’re scratching your head about the phrase “ethical fashion,” it’s not as cray as it may seem. And it’s not all tie-dye and Tevas and giant threads of harsh hemp made into a basket-weave bodice. (Although, if something like that exists, I would very much like to see it.)

Justin Timberlake in T Magazine.
Photo: T Magazine

HELLO, NEW DESKTOP BACKGROUND. In a recent spread from T Magazine, Justin Timberlake pierces our hearts with his eyes and makes us want to live in black and white FOREVER. He also appears quite pensive in kind of a worrisome way, in which case, we are totally here for you, JT. Seriously, cry us a river. (Heh.) We are available at a moment’s notice if you need a shoulder to weep on when Jessica isn’t around, or whatever.

Iggy Azalea

Iggy Azalea on the cover of "Complex" Magazine.

Just as we were getting ready to say goodbye to summer, Complex magazine goes and releases a summery, Hawaiian-themed cover and spread featuring Iggy Azalea. Now we won't be able to leave summer behind until the magazine leaves stands in November. SUMMER 4EVER, Y'ALL. The colorful cover features a naked Iggy (*GASP* SCANDAL!) on a bed of flower leis, a few of which are strategically placed to cover some crucial areas. If this cover doesn't make you want to drench your bed in flower petals and then roll around in them, nothing ever will.

Miley Cyrus on the cover of Harper's BAZAAR's October issue.
Photo: Terry Richardson for Harper's BAZAAR

In the past several days, Miley Cyrus has been both everywhere and nowhere at all. #DeepThoughts. The 20-year-old singer hasn’t been publicly photographed since the 12th, but reports that she’s gone back to being a brunette set the internet ablaze on the 13th, when a fan-made video showing Cyrus with a noticeably darker ‘do emerged in Paris. (Sadly, the original video in question was recorded on the 10th, and Miley was definitely blonde two days after that. We do detective work on the side over here, BTW. Inquire within.) So, yeah. She’s been M.I.A. for four days now, which is basically like, YEARS in interweb-time. Thankfully, Harper’s Bazaar is here to hold us over 'til the next sighting with the release of their October cover (yes, different from the couture spread she did for the mag's September issue!), featuring an uncharacteristically covered-up Cyrus in a sleek and sexy Burberry Prorsum LBD.

Lady Gaga

Behind the scenes of Lady Gaga's "Elle" magazine photo shoot.
Photo: Elle Magazine

Just when you start to get used to a look on Lady Gaga, she switches it up on you again. We've been pretty much chronicling the every quick-change of Gagaloo's strawberry blonde, BIG, wavy "Botticelli Babe" 'do from every clam shell bra to bedazzled Versace jumpsuit to motion-restrictive Comme des Garçons. Only to have it all turned on its head with the release of her October cover for Elle magazine. Along with the dramatic cover which only features half of Gaga's face enveloped in a louche frame of green and black satin and white and pink furs, we were given a peek at two inside pages of the cover spread—both soft, ethereal, and taken creepily through windows from far away. Now, thanks to a behind-the-scenes video Gaga tweeted, the stalker-esque shoot gets some context.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is racking up the magazine covers! She had not one, but four, for V Magazine, and now she's on the cover of the October issue of Elle, looking silky and furry. The silk sleeves of her dress are black at the top and green at the bottom, and they take up, like, over half of the cover. On top of Gaga's head is what looks like blonde hair, but alas, it is not! It's a Bjørg pony hair necklace that she's wearing as a headpiece. Head decoration doesn't end there, though: there's also a fluffy pink pom-pom which is, NO BIG DEAL, a pink raccoon-fur headpiece from Schiaparelli. Yup. That's two separate pieces on her head.

Katy Perry

OMG, more Katy Perry news, y'all. The Katy Perry promo train is one that makes infrequent stops: time to get on board. Katy was on Good Morning America this AM to promote "Roar" and her upcoming release, Prism. Continuing her theme of dressing in florals, Katy was decked out in a tight green dress with daisies printed all over it. She grunged the dress up with black knee socks and shiny maroon Doc Martens. Her hair, which is currently black, was up in very Heidi-chic milkmaid braids; she accessorized very simply with large gold hoops, though they're def not as large as BFF Rihanna's. They're, like, 1/8th the size of Rihanna's.

miley cyrus

Miley Cyrus poses on dual covers for Notion.
Photo: @NotionMagazine Twitter

Remember when "she's just being Miley" harkened to a 16-year-old Miley Cyrus st-st-st-stutterin' in front of a crush? Also a part of the tame ol' days: Hannah Montana, waist-long extensions and pants. My, how times have changed! Posing (obvi) sans pants for dual covers of Notion Magazine's September issue, Miles serves it up with a kind of refined urban chicness. We're totally feeling her foliage and stripe-covered sweatshirt, all-white Bol$hie snapback, crimson-colored lips and a heap o' gold chains.

Ciara Paper Magazine

For a lady who's obsessed with menswear, Ciara certainly knows how to rock a super girly look like it ain't no thang. The singer pulled out ALL the glamorous stops for her September Paper magazine cover shoot—Old Hollywood waves, bright red lips and hot pink nails. (Also, um, PLEASE peep the contouring on those cheekbones. #dead) She sported an embellished Christian Siriano mesh top over a custom black fishnet Natalie Joos shirt with high-waisted pale pink Marc Jacobs shorts and leopard print Christian Louboutin heels. To add that high-fashion edge, Ciara did the infamous "couture hunch" in a floral print chair to really pull the entire look together.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga for 'V' Magazine.

Remember how we kind of off-handedly pointed out that Lady Gaga was almost topless on that first V Magazine cover from earlier this week? All that cleavage blending into underboob was just an afterthought because we were so caught up in the CUSTOM Saint Laurent draped on top of it. And we also kind of noted that she wasn't really wearing much more for her inside shots. Welp, let this be the day we learn to never underestimate Gagaloo's commitment to nakedness. V has just unveiled all four of Lady Gaga's limited edition covers AND spreads, and girl is barely wearing any clothes.
