Here ye, here ye! Gather 'round, fair BARBZ, for your queen, Nicki Minaj, has arrived on the New York Fashion Week scene, and she has a *very* important declaration for all her loyal subjects: Fear not the '90s steez! Bring forth the acid wash jeans! The crop-tops! The logo-emblazed bling! For they are back with a vengeance and her Minajesty doth approve.
After taking a seat on the front-row throne at Herve Leger's Spring show earlier in the day, Nicki held court at Alexander Wang's after-party last night and the woman ruled the night in a can't-be-missed Chanel-plated chain necklace. #LOGOMANIA Minaj, who was a surprise performer at the Pier 17 blow-out, also wore a black, long-sleeved crop-top by Wang himself, her own high-waisted, slashed-up jeans and some seriously sick leopard-print calf hair and suede ankle boots by Giuseppe Zanotti. Minaj was the perfect embodiment of emerging trends for the Spring 2014 season—Wang debuted his highly-anticipated collection on Saturday and showed '90s street-revival with prominent logo-wear and plenty of pieces that would make Cher Horowitz proud.

Naughty rumor or nice surprise? Right around this time last year, we found out that Mariah Carey had been pegged to design TWO limited-edition celebrity nail color collections with polish giant, OPI. The first—which rolled out Liquid Sand, a new glitter-glinting textured finish—was released in January with promises of a second on the near-future horizon. Well, it looks like Christmas may come early this year, you guys. Word on the street is that since we've been SO well-behaved, the second Carey-branded collection MIGHT be a whole heap of Holiday-inspired polishes, just as we’d hoped for. (Cue the five-octave squeals!) Read More...
She can do it big. She can do it long. She can do it whenever or however you want. Obviously, we’re talking about Ciara’s HAIR here, people. Get your minds out of the gutter! *WINK* Ciara’s been blonde for more than a year now, but the “I’m Out” singer is back to (mostly) black and has ditched her bob for some sleek extensions, according to this photo she posted on Instagram. “Going into fall, we wanted something more sultry, but we definitely wanted to keep our rock and roll edge,” said the singer’s stylist, Cesar Ramirez, told Us Magazine.

Stevie Nicks performs in 1978.
All of a sudden, mid day yesterday, a corner of the Internet exploded. News broke that legendary British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac are planning a reunion in 2013, something diehard fans of the Mac had assumed was impossible due to the famed infighting between the band's members. Lead singer/tambourine playing sorceress Stevie Nicks announced the reformation on CBS This Morning, and of course, both super-fans and casual admirers alike went nuts. Nicks, who wrote the band's 1977 Billboard #1 hit "Dreams," is as much a style icon as a musical muse, with everyone from Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino, America's sweetheart Taylor Swift, and Florence + The Machine singer Florence Welch counting themselves as acolytes. Even if you don't know you're familiar with Stevie Nicks, you probably are. You know the opening of Destiny's Child's "Bootylicious," well, it's sampled from Nicks's "Edge of Seventeen," off of her 1981 solo record, Bella Donna. T.Swift calls Nicks a "childhood idol," and Bethany Cosentino has Making Rumors: The Inside Story of the Classic Fleetwood Mac Album on her coffee table. There is also a Fleetwood Mac tribute record being released on August 14th, titled Just Tell Me That You Want Me, which includes takes on the band's tunes by Best Coast, Lykke Li, The Kills and MGMT.
As far as her style goes, Nicks's outfit from a 1978 performance in East Troy, Wisconsin (pictured above), speaks for itself: a pink cape with cascading black feathers pouring from the shoulders of a matching pink, body-hugging, velvet dress. Yes, cape, feathers, and velvet in one look. Case rested. Not to mention Nicks's long blond hair, which grew in volume through the decades (although she now favors a sleek, straight style with long blunt bangs), which, in the performance image, is crowned with a cage-like headpiece.

We could easily decree 2011 the Year of Lady Gaga because she was EVERYWHERE, from her yearlong concert tour and subsequent coffee table book with Terry Richardson to a Thanksgiving special and countless red carpet (not to mention street style) moments that kept us both intrigued and entertained. You'd think Mother Monster would want to take a break in 2012, but oh no, that's not her style. She's married to her fans, as you know, and has bestowed little monsters worldwide with the promise that 2012 will also belong to Gaga, as evidenced by her presence on the cover of Vanity Fair's January 2012 issue. In an eye-popping cover shot by renowned photog Annie Leibovitz, Our Lady sits regally in resplendent red Atelier Versace while smiling a smile that says we have no idea what she's going to gift us with next. Folks, I can tell you one thing, the interview in Vanity Fair alone will have you gasping and wanting more with talk of creativity, marriage, and her upcoming video for "Marry the Night."

If you're standing on the edge of glory declaring that you were born this way and nothing is going to stop you from marrying the night like you mean it, then chances are you're a bona fide Little Monster. (PAWS UP!) If you happily bow at the altar of Mother Monster, aka Our Goddess otherwise known as Lady Gaga, then you probably spent your Turkey Day ingesting A Very Gaga Thanksgiving or have found your way to Gaga's Workshop at Barneys New York despite the lines. Lady Gaga has, indeed, officially taken over the holiday season (like a black leather-corseted alterna-Santa) and her next plan of attack is to solve your gift giving needs with her new book Lady Gaga X Terry Richardson. With more than 400 photographs shot by the renowned Terry Richardson chronicling Gaga's every move over the course of a year—from Lollapalooza to the Grammy Awards and everywhere in between—this oversized photojournalistic tome is already on sale and captures Lady Gaga in a way we've never seen her before. In fact, we declare it a MUST for every gift list. Shall we prove it?

We're all for countdowns, and right now our Little Monster clocks are set to tick off the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the arrival of Lady Gaga X Terry Richardson (cue glittersplosions, dancing cheetahs, and writhing on car tops in the rain!), the mega coffee table book SPECTACULAR from—you guessed it—the high priestess herself, Lady Gaga, and mustachioed photog extraordinaire, Terry Richardson. Arriving in stores on Nov. 22 (HURRY UP, Father Time!), you can actually get your monster paws on it NOW. Well, in a preorder capacity, but we'll take what we can get, and we'll take it immediately. Oh, and speaking of which, did you happen to notice this fine photo above? That's a new shot from the book featuring Mother Monster clad in lacy lingerie, diamond bling, pink lipstick, and heavily lined smize eyes while chowing down on a steak, potatoes, some sort of greenery, and pink champagne (because she's classy). We. Can't. Even. It's all too much. Have you seen the cover?
Kanye West at the Givenchy Ready to Wear Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 show; Liv Tyler arrives at the Givenchy after show party on March 6, 2011, in Paris.

Nothing says "fierce" quite like a T-shirt emblazoned with the image of a teeth-baring Rottweiler. Either Kanye West and Liv Tyler were trying to send a message (#getoffmylawn), or they were simply showing support for designer Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci (below) when they wore the grrrrrrrment (Haha. Sorreeeee.) to the fashion house's Paris runway show and after party, respectively. Kanye teamed his with leather pants, a cropped zip-up jacket, and dark shades. Meanwhile Liv wore hers with a dinner jacket and tights, making it look more tunic than tee. Neither star wore a smile. But obviously this is NOT the shirt to say "cheeeese" in. Though, it should be noted that sweet Liv is doing a half-"smize."

On Wednesday at a Chanel dinner in her honor (fancy, huh?), actress Blake Lively dressed up her winter white frock with gorgeous green gem earrings! We loved the unexpected pop of color that added glitz to her otherwise monochromatic outfit. If you want to try this colorful trend, we've scoped out some similar studs.
Clockwise from left:
+ Betsey Johnson's "Lovely Leopard" Stud Earrings ($30, Nordstrom.com) are infused with hints of blue and green, which add even more drama to the diamond encrusted set.
+ These Melanie Auld Holly Earrings ($65, MaxAndChloe.com) have a huge round center like Blake's earrings, with gold touches on the outside.
+ Kate Spade's Gumdrop Stud Earrings ($38, KateSpade.com) are the most basic of the bunch, perfect for those who want to ease into this bright trend.
+ For an oval touch, opt for these Target 14K Gold Oval Emerald Teardrop Earrings ($69, Target.com), which feature a smaller green stone.
+ And last but not least, these Target Gold Over Silver Peridot and Diamond Earrings ($19.99, Target.com are the perfect shade of lime green, ideal for spring.
+ Would you go green like Blake?
