JWOWW: Before and after.

The 'Jersey Shore' cast has come a long way since the show first premiered on MTV in December 2009. And their styles have evolved as well. As we wind down from last week's finale of season two, we're taking a look at the transformations of each star. Today we take a look at Jenni "JWOWW" Farley. How did she go from Shore to Superstar? Let's take a look …

Jenni "JWOWW" Farley is one Jersey Shore superstar who took her makeover into her own hands — and it shows. When she first started the show, she overloaded on makeup and wore all kinds of mismatching outfits. Now, she stripped off all the extras, and let her natural JWOWW shine through. Her standard look has become something totally different than before: Her makeup is clean, and she wears clothes that cover up — an upgrade all around. What a difference a year can make! Take a look in this gallery of JWOWW's style transformation and see for yourself.

Do you think JWOWW's style has gotten better?

It's Halloween week! And here at MTV Style, we're psyched about it! That's why we're focusing on the hottest diva costumes of the year. Yesterday, we showed you how to dress like Nicki Minaj. Today, let's take a look at another one of our faves: Ke$ha. Cheers to glitter, trash bags, and face paint! Here are five ways to dress like Ke$ha:

Ke$ha at NBC's 'Today' on Aug. 13.
Photo: Jemal Countess/Getty Images

This is Ke$ha's signature look: denim cutoff shorts, a vintage T-shirt that she cut up herself, black combat boots, and various forms of studs all over her clothes. So, pull out your summer clothes and go for it! Take a T-shirt (any tee will work) and start slashing it all over (note the scissors above). Then, pull out some denim shorts (or pants, and cut 'em off), and pull on some combat boots. You're set to go! For added Ke$ha flavor, sew on some gold studs to your shorts and top.
+ T-Shirt: Metallica Harvester Black T-shirt ($16.95)
+ Shorts: Tribal Embroidered Denim Shorts ($18.90)
+ Studs: 1/2" Gold Pyramid Studs ($6.00 for 100)
+ Boots: Steve Madden Abee Lace-Up Boot ($249.95)

Ke$ha performs at Casio's Shock the World 2010 on Aug. 2.

There's nothing that Ke$ha loves more than glitter. She lathers the shiny stuff all over her body for all of her performances, and many of her red carpet appearances. She wears glitter so much that if you do nothing else but put glitter on your face for Halloween, we're fully convinced that you can call yourself Ke$ha without question. If you want to take her look one step further, get yourself a spirit hood (or a hat that looks like the head of an animal) and make your Ke$ha costume undoubtedly official.
+ Glitter: Hot Topic Sequin Body Glitter in Silver and Gold ($3.99 each)
+ Animal Hoods: Leopard SpiritHood ($129.00) / Cheap Alternative: Leopard Animal Hat ($31.99)

Ke$ha surprised many by wearing a tiger mask when she visited a salon in New York City over the summer. If you wanted an easy superstar costume of your own that's under $10, this is it.
+ Mask: Deluxe Tiger Mask ($8.99)

The trash bag-inspired outfit Ke$ha wore to the 2010 Video Music Awards this year could be totally do-it-yourself. Grab some black trash bags (the hefty ones, so they're not see-through!) and cut leg, arm, and head holes into one. Drape it around your body and cinch it tight with tape or a belt. Then, all you need are the accessories: a feather boa, cross earrings, and a turquoise ring.
+ Bags: Ultra Tuf Black Trash Bags ($4.99)
+ Boa: Deluxe Large Black Feather Boa ($2.41)
+ Earrings: Lucky Brand Hammered Hoop Cross Earrings ($35.00)
+ Ring: Bita Pourtavoosi Big Turquoise Chunk Ring ($50.00)

Ke$ha's must-haves are glitter and .... FACE PAINT!!! So, don't forget it, even if you are wearing glitter. Grab some costume makeup so you can pull primary colors (rather than drugstore makeup) and paint animal-inspired looks on your face — slashes, stripes around the eyes, stars. Go all out.
+ Makeup: Mattese Elite Stage Makeup Wheel ($14.99)

Audrina Patridge on Oct. 13 in Los Angeles and Kristin Cavallari on June 8 in Los Angeles.
Photo: Getty Images

Audrina Patridge and Kristin Cavallari flaunted a love for snakeskin print when both fashion darlings carried the same Kara Ross python clutch on the red carpet. Audrina chose the Mia in Black Python ($680, kararossny.com) to wear with her basic black shift at a party in Los Angeles a couple weeks ago. Meanwhile, her Hills costar picked the same bag in taupe to wear with her beige Hannah Marshall dress in June. It's interesting how both girls carried a clutch that matched their dress color, and if we had to pick a favorite, we'd have to go with Kristin Cavallari. It would have been nice to see Audrina jazz up her simple black dress with a bolder accessory, while Kristin's darker bag brought a nice contrast to her outfit. But what do you think?

+ Which clutch do you prefer — Audrina's or Kristin's?

It's Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen week! Here at MTV Style, we love, love, LOVE Halloween. It's a time to break out your glitter and wigs, and let your inner diva out to play. That's why we're dedicating this week Halloween Diva Week, and showing you different ways to dress up like your favorite pop star divas. Today, we take a look at one of our faves: Nicki Minaj. Here are three ways to dress like Nicki:

When Nicki Minaj performed at the Video Music Awards pre-show, she overloaded on metallics, and shined her ass off, literally. She wore a pink and purple metallic bodysuit, designed by Marco Marco, with knee-high custom Chanel boots. Get the look by pairing a purple bodysuit with a pink leotard, and then wear a pair of black boots, which you can get on the cheap. Don't forget your pink lipstick; it's Nicki's favorite color right now.
+ Lipstick: M.A.C Dazzle Lipstick in Naughty You ($14.50)
+ Boots: Chinese Laundry Kingdom Boot ($69.95)
+ Leotard: Fornarina Guss Fuchsia Body ($27)
+ Bodysuit: Purple Shiny Metallic Bodysuit ($20.70)

This look you can score by pulling some key pieces in your wardrobe together. Just pair white shorts with a white tee and snap on a pink bra underneath. To get the Nicki flavor, get some gold foil and layer pieces all over your white outfit (or you can use safety pins for the same effect), then add some temporary tattoos in Chinese character (just like Nicki!). Don't forget to load up on green eye shadow.
+ Shirt: American Apparel Jersey Short Sleeve T-Shirt Leotard in White ($28)
+ Shorts: Adidas Sport Basic Slip Shorts ($30)
+ Gold Add-ons: Gold Foil Pleather ($14.99/yd)
+ Makeup: Buxom Stay-There Eye Shadow in Shih Tzu (gilded lime green) ($17)
+ Bra: Victoria's Secret Miraculous Push-up Bra in Hot Pink ($49.50)
+ Fake Tattoos: Japanese Character Temporary Tattoos in Happiness, Friends, Courage and more. ($0.55 each)

What's so amazing about Nicki's style is that she can go from funky metallic to cute and classy seamlessly, which is what we see here in her beige Lura Starr jumpsuit backstage at the 2010 Video Music Awards. To score this look, find a cute beige jumpsuit, like this one from Topshop — a great piece because it's not a Halloween-specific item and you can wear it long after Fright Night festivities. Then, it's all about beauty — a pink wig and pink nail polish finish off the look.
+ Jumpsuit: Feather Print Cowl Back Jumpsuit ($125.00)
+ Wig: Hot Pink Wig ($19.99)
+ Nail Polish: M.A.C Nail Lacquer in Steamy ($13.00)

Holy Shawn Johnson, the World Gymnastics Championships happened this week! The best gymnasts from around the world convened in Rotterdam, Netherlands to compete in the 2010 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. These ladies amazed us with their twists, jumps, and rolls, not to mention their ability to whiz in midair with their toes to their ears. But the coolest part of watching it had to be the leotards. Each country designed a colorful, bright, amazing look — all the qualities of a good stage costume seen by our favorite performers. But don't just take our word for it. See the complete breakdown of the leotards at the World Gymnastics Championships below.

Kim Kardashian on Aug. 25; Kristin Cavallari on June 8.
Photo: Getty Images

Kristin Cavallari and Kim Kardashian stepped out in the season's hottest color — beige — when they both picked a nude dress by British designer Hannah Marshall (originally $1,275, but now sold out) for recent events. Kim Kardashian wore the fitted, leather top and pleated skirt shift to a magazine party in Hollywood, completing the look with a gold bow buckle belt and metallic sandals. Earlier in the summer, Kristin Cavallari of The Hills wore the frock sans belt, accessorizing only with white sandals and a python clutch by Kara Ross. Both ladies looked beautiful in beige, but we think Kim Kardashian takes this style matchup. Her belt gave the dress a great finishing touch, and we loved how her bold, gold earrings mixed with the nude color. But what do you think?

+ Who wore it better — Kristin Cavallari or Kim Kardashian?

Taylor Momsen performing at the 'Rock The Sidewalk' party on Oct. 21.
Photo: Getty Images

Taylor Momsen made quite the statement when she performed at a party in New York last night. And this time it wasn't even her signature black garter, fishnet tights, and ripped tank that caught our eye — that's standard fare by now — it was her necklace. The Gossip Girl star and The Pretty Reckless singer adorned her neck with a rhinestone necklace that spelled out the word slave (3 Kisses Lingerie, $17.56). It was a controversial move, given that Taylor's 17 years old and the word itself is supercharged with emotion. Not to mention, there is an implication of sex here, in a domination way. We're huge fans of Taylor's confidence and willingness to defy conventions, but we're starting to wonder about the young star. After seeing Taylor pose in lingerie while holding guns for the cover of Revolver magazine last week, her actions beg the question: When does it go too far?

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi in New York on Oct. 20.
Photo: Getty Images/Sherri Hill

Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi looked the shiniest we've ever seen her last night, when she attended a charity event at Senses New York Salon & Spa in New York (that's her favorite hair salon) wearing a sequin-covered strapless purple dress. The sparkly dress is by designer Sherri Hill, who is quickly becoming Snooki's go-to designer after the star wore the designer's creations to appearances on David Letterman, Regis & Kelly, and Jimmy Kimmel. We think Snooki looks awesome in this dress, which is style #2226 ($350 on NewYorkDress.com). To finish the look, her hair looked impeccably straight, Sammi-style (which is good since she was at a salon!), big silver hoops, a rhinestone bracelet and ring, and of course, she was as bronze as ever. But our favorite: She paired her sparkly dress with the best accessory of them all — a leopard-print manicure.

+ Do you like Snooki's dress and manicure?

The 'Jersey Shore' cast has come a long way since the show first premiered on MTV in December 2009. And their styles have evolved as well. As we gear up for the finale of season two (airing tonight at 10/9c on MTV), we're looking at the transformations of each star. Today we take a look at Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi. How did she go from Shore to Superstar? Let's take a look …

We've been looking at the style transformations of Jersey Shore cast members all week, and today we've come to one of the biggest transformations of them all — Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi. When Snooki first emerged, she popularized the pouf and mixed it with orange tans, thick eyeliner, heavy bronzer, and pale lips. But over the past year, she tweaked the look so it's sleeker, got bangs, kept her straggly ends trimmed, and dyed her hair red (twice). As for clothing, she hasn't ditched her signature leopard print, though she is wearing more flattering clothes that still show off her Snooki personality. Overall, we're calling this year a continuous upgrade for Snooki's style! But take a look in this gallery of Snooki's style transformation and see for yourself.

Do you think Snooki's style has gotten better?

Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine.
Photo: Andreea Radulescu/MTV

Florence Welch, lead singer of Florence + the Machine and one of our favorite rising style stars, dropped by the MTV studios recently to talk about her style. "I've got quite a romantic taste in clothes," she told us. "I’m attracted to vintage pieces and things that look vintage, and things that have sort of a classic feel to them." But when it comes to performance style, Florence likes an outfit that "takes you out of everyday life." In fact, the sultry singer says, "It's kind of nice if you think the dress is doing the performance as well." Find out which other fashionable singer influenced Florence Welch's sartorial choices for stage in the clip below.
