At the Brit Awards held in London on Feb. 15 we were all treated to a one-woman fashion show, courtesy of Rihanna. The pop singer, who picked up the award for Best International Female Artist, first walked the red carpet in a blue/purple/yellow Christian Dior Haute Couture ball gown. Then, for her performances of "Only Girl (In the World)," "S&M," and "What's My Name," RiRi slipped into three other ensembles—a black corset, a strapless rose-covered Oscar de la Renta gown, and a red minidress with floral details and a cape. We're perplexed, though—with all of those speedy costume changes, how in the world did she keep her strands in place?

Alexa Chung and Michelle Williams rocked the same gorgeous red lace Erdem dress recently. The Brit beauty wore the shift—which has three-quarter length sleeves and a pretty scoop neckline—on the cover of Net-A-Porter magazine this month, with minimal makeup and accessories. Meanwhile, Michelle Williams chose the dress for the London premiere of Blue Valentine, pairing it with printed pumps and an elegant black clutch. While both ladies looked lovely in the sophisticated shift, we think Alexa won this style matchup. We love how relaxed and effortless she looks with the soft makeup and messy hair (even if she had help from a wind machine). But what do you think?

Leading up to Sunday night's 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, there were all these rumors swirling around about Rihanna's health. Earlier in the week she apparently tweeted to a fan that she was getting over bronchitis and laryngitis. Well, if RiRi was still ill while walking the red carpet or performing, she played it off beautifully.

ON THE RED CARPET: Never one to shy away from making a fashion statement (or from showing slivers of skin), Rihanna combined her sleek red mane with a supersexy Jean-Paul Gaultier gown.

DURING HER PERFORMANCE WITH EMINEM: While onstage with rapper Eminem for their performance of "Love the Way You Lie," Rihanna wore a dramatic full-skirted, strapless Christian Dior ball gown.

DURING HER PERFORMANCE WITH DRAKE: Giving her performance of "What's My Name?" with rapper Drake an island spin, Rihanna slow whined in a fringed and beaded outfit and stiletto booties.

As has always been the case with Lady Gaga, we couldn't quite figure out what was going on here, but we still loved the bold, sci-fi-meets-fashion ensembles the singer chose for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards. According to Gaga's creative director Laurieann Gibson, the singer was "birthing a new race." Alrighty then.

PERFORMING ON STAGE: While belting out her new single, "Born This Way," Gaga showed her dance moves (she's got a few!) in a Mugler by Nicola Formichetti-designed see-through yolk-colored half-shirt, skirt, jacket, and hat.

FOR HER ACCEPTANCE SPEECH: Winning a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album, Lady Gaga took to the stage wearing a Mugler by Nicola Formichetti black getup with thigh-high boots and above-the-elbow gloves… Oh, and she rocked prosthetic baby horns and alien-esque pointy shoulders.

IN THE AUDIENCE: Sitting pretty (for an alien!), Lady Gaga donned a black one-shoulder jacket and thigh-high boots by Mugler by Nicola Formichetti, plus a face-covering circle hat by Franc Fernandez.

Even though singer Katy Perry had three outfit changes during Sunday night's 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, she stayed loyal to one designer. The Grammy-nominated singer sparkled in a trio of bedazzled Giorgio Armani creations.

ON THE RED CARPET: Katy stepped out in a custom-made Giorgio Armani evening dress featuring a Swarovski crystal encrusted bustier and an iridescent silk organza ruffled skirt. But, the feathery angel wings were what made this ensemble soar.

ONSTAGE: In an ode to Valentine's Day, Katy wore a custom-designed Giorgio Armani pink dress during her live performance. The minidress included a corset top embellished with pink shimmering rock crystals. She teamed her ensemble with a pair of custom-made Giorgio Armani platform shoes. We (heart)!

IN THE AUDIENCE: Finally, Katy closed the evening in a Giorgio Armani Privé iridescent silvery cocktail dress. She wore the embellished one-shoulder design with Valeska jewelry.

Katerina "Kat" Graham at the Essence 2nd Annual Black Women in Music event in Los Angeles on Feb. 9.

Many things could have caught our eye in the ensemble that Katerina "Kat" Graham wore yesterday to the Essence 2nd Annual Black Women in Music event, including her neon purple pumps, her now-signature pink pout and her wet-shine minidress. But they were all overshadowed by her INSANE statement necklace and ring. If they look heavy, it's probably because they are. The Charles Albert-designed necklace ($4999) and ring ($259) are both made from titanium and colorful quartz. But when jewelry looks that awesome, weight becomes a nonissue.

Kim Kardashian in New York on Feb. 8, Emma Watson in New York on Nov. 16, 2010.

What is it about New York City that makes visiting celebs want to dress in hardware? Not that we're complaining—Cali girl Kim Kardashian and Emma Watson, who hails from England, both looked badass in the Big Apple as they stepped out in Burberry trenches with stud-covered sleeves. Kim rocked her large-studded trench yesterday with silver-toed Christian Louboutin pumps and bare legs. Back in November, Emma matched her mini-studded topper with a Burberry studded shoulder bag, lacy tights and black booties. We're calling this fashion face-off a draw—we like Emma's jacket, if only it was teamed with Kim's ensemble. Yeah, we have to make things complicated. But, what do you think?

Kim Kardashian in West Hollywood on February 3 and in New York on Nov. 16.
Photo: WireImage/Getty Images

Kim Kardashian isn't afraid to hit the rewind button on her fashion choices. Last Thursday, the reality star attended the launch party for her Belle Noel jewelry line in West Hollywood donning a black blazer, beige and black tanks, black skinny pants and nude pumps. She wore her hair pulled back in a loose bun and also rocked a beige headband and bold pendant necklace. Just three months earlier in New York, the fashionista slipped into a very similar outfit—black blazer, beige tank, black skinny pants, bold pendant. The only difference was that she ditched the headband, and chose black pumps instead. Since Kim's outfits are mirror images of each other, we're calling this fashion face-off a draw. But what do you think?

Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi at the 69th Washington Auto Show conference in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 31.

Sure, you could rock a capelet or a pencil skirt, but an easier way to wear houndstooth is on your fingernails (à la Snooki). The Jersey Shore star wore the classic black-and-white pattern on her digits while attending the 69th Washington Auto Show conference on Jan. 31. Unless you have the steadiest hand on the planet, it's near impossible to get this funky look (which works well with a Hello Kitty ring, too) with regular old nail polish. Enter press-on lacquer strips! We love Nail Fraud's Houndstooth Hotty ($12, NailFraud.com). Here's how to lay 'em down...

STEP 1: File clean nails and swipe them with a little nail polish remover to wipe away any oils.

STEP 2: Select the best fitting strip for each nail and remove the backside of the strip.

STEP 3: Gently stretch the strip for a perfect fit and to help prevent hard-to-remove air bubbles. Firmly smooth the strip over the entire nail.

STEP 4: Form a crease around the tip of the nail to remove the excess strip and use a nail file to smooth the tip of nail.

STEP 5: Apply a clear top coat to the nail and the tip. Repeat on remaining nails.

+ Will you try press-on print nails like Snooki?

Julia Stiles in Los Angeles on Jan. 29, Mila Kunis in Los Angeles on Jan. 5.
Photo: Getty Images

Julia Stiles and Mila Kunis just wanna have fun. How do we know? Both actresses were recently spotted in twirl-ready dresses—can't you just see them both dancing the night away in these strapless shifts? Julia, who starred in Dexter, wore a beige drop-waisted Max Mara dress to Entertainment Weekly's Pre-Screen Actors Guild Awards party on Jan. 29. For a color burst she paired the frock with glittery peep toe heels by René Caovilla. Meanwhile, Black Swan's Mila Kunis rocked a J. Mendel taupe (nearly green) cocktail dress with nude Brian Atwood platform pumps to the People's Choice Awards on Jan. 5. For us, this style matchup comes down to the shoes. Mila's serious stilettos didn't seem to jive with the flirty/girly vibe of her dress, so Julia's fab dress and her funky ode to the Wizard of Oz heels get our vote. But we want to know what you think?

+ Which frill seekers look do you like most—Julia Stiles' or Mila Kunis'?
