Pharrell Williams Performing at the 2014 Oscars

If there’s anything we should have seen coming, it’s this. How many times does a dude like Pharrell Williams have to wear a classic three-striped Adidas Fireband jacket before we realize what’s really up? After weeks of speculation, the news has finally broken. Skateboard P has inked an exclusive design deal with Adidas, slated to debut Summer 2014—so start saving your coins now, cause this will be MAY-JAH! Of course, this isn't your typical run-of-the-mill celebrity endorsement campaign (duh, it’s Pharrell).
Who wore the throwback CK look best: Justin Bieber or Harry Styles?Photo: @justinbieber's Instagram/Getty Images
Back in the day, Calvin Klein was known more for its raunchy, black-and-white underwear ads and logos than the clean lines and sleek silhouettes that earn praise today. Even though the brand spearheaded the minimalism movement, they got more attention in the early '90s for tapping Marky Mark (aka Mark Wahlberg) to model underwear alongside Kate Moss. Perhaps that era was on the minds of Harry Styles and Justin Bieber when they got dressed yesterday. Amazingly, both heartthrobs wore throwback CK looks. Granted, all-things-'90s have been a trend for quite some time now, but it’s pretty extraordinary that these two chose the same moment in the logo-obsessed decade to revive.
Last week, when Le1f performed "Wut" on Late Show With David Letterman and made his TV debut in Hood by Air and actual snow boots, we had no idea that a week later we'd be gifted a video for "Boom." IDK about you, but after watching this video all I wanna do is avoid diners and ride shotgun in a Jeep. It looks like my weekend plans have just been confirmed. We got the deets on the video's fashion, styled by Prince Franco, from the rapper himself, so let's not waste any more time—to the clothes!

The video begins outside the diner, with Le1f in not one, but two jackets. Winter 2014 was the winter of two jackets #polarvortex. The first is a Diesel denim jacket, and the other a Pelle Pelle leather jacket. Underneath the two jackets is a black-and-white Y-3 tank that reads "ANTI."

Paging all aspiring ad people/Beliebers: your chance at the big time just arrived. Justin Bieber and Adidas NEO have announced that you can put together Bieber's Spring 2014 campaign video yourself. The best part? Justin will watch and personally choose the winner. I hope he likes the one I designed—it's just 57-seconds of him winking at the camera. Swaggy.

Who here wants to smell like creamy musk and cucumbers? Anyone? What if I told you that Harry Styles wants you to smell like that? Probably changes your answer, right? Well, as it turns out...he does. All of One Direction does, in fact, which is why they added those *unique* smells to their upcoming That Moment fragrance line (in addition to cedarwood, violet, and "sparkling tangerine"—yum!). We already knew the line would build on their previous scent, the already successful Our Moment, AND that the perfume bottle would resemble a pink diamond wearing a crown. But the promise of creamy musk is certainly news to us—as is their dreamy, just-released print ad.
Kiernan Shipka, Shaliene Woodley, and Zoe Kravitz at the 'Divergent' premiere in L.A.

Only two days until Divergent, y'all! Gather your tent, sleeping bags, and tinned food because you better start camping out now. You can borrow the essentials from Shailene Woodley, if you need to. I'm sure she's already camping out in front of a theater, but not for the movie, just cause that's how she lives her life, man. She wouldn't need to wait to see the movie, anyway—she saw it last night at the L.A. premiere (also because she was there during filming, etc.), where she wore a beaded, floor-length, one shoulder Fall 2010 Elie Saab gown. It was not camping appropriate, but as usual, she looked like an Earthy goddess.
Kiernan Shipka and Zoe Kravitz opted for shorter Spring 2014 collection dresses—Kiernan in Valentino and Zoe in Balenciaga. Both also wore fall/winter/spring/summer's hottest beauty trend: strong brows. Teach me your ways, ladies. I want to throw my hat into the bold brow ring, but I need a trainer. Hit me up if you're interested!
You know what your Thursday needs? A sweet, sweet R&B slow jam. Listen, I know Boyz II Men's "I'll Make Love to You" is a pretty aggressively ~seductive~ track to wedge into your work/school week, but just be glad I'm dispatching this toward the end of your day and not at 9 a.m. while you're finishing up your bagel and cream cheese. Also, it is EXTREMELY underrated in the universe of music video style. Since you likely don't remember this one off the top of your head, I'm breaking this #TBT down for you look by look.

Hey, remember when the Backstreet Boys were all lined up and glowing in pristine linens in an airplane hangar for their "I Want It That Way" video? Boyz II Men's above look predates that by five years. Fittingly for the early '90s, the dudes are working with bizarro, boxy-tailored pieces, and Wanya Morris in a jacket and trousers with a mismatched vest, and Michael McCary in a sleeveless vest with a Nehru collar. Also, some sort of cane and/or rain stick. IDK what's up with that. I don't remember that being a trend then.
Jay Z and Kanye West reunite the Throne at SXSW.

Don't rub your eyes. The above picture of Jay Z and Kanye West is, in fact, NOT from 2011. Jay and Ye joined forces again LAST NIGHT (March 12) during Austin's SXSW music festival—a Watch the Throne reunion of epic proportions that was only just announced this Monday (March 10). Amidst many of their solo hits—"Tom Ford," "New Slaves," "Izzo (HOVA)," and "Runaway" to name a few—Yeezy and Hov performed Throne classics like "H*A*M," "Who Gon' Stop Me," "No Church in the Wild," "Otis," and of course, "N***** in Paris" for their two-hour, 35-song set. But the music wasn't the only part of the Throne they brought back: They also resurrected their Givenchy performance steez.
Pharrell is teaming up with Comme des Garcons.

Pharrell Williams, the great collaborator, has just added another joint project to his résumé: a unisex fragrance with Comme des Garcons. From Daft Punk to BAPE, he has a knack for bringing established entities into his creative ecosystem and helping bring forth a beautiful, refreshing take on something you already loved. But he's more than just the ultimate remix artist; his collaborative projects are so wildly successful because of his ability to marry his own original creative sensibilities with a keen eye for curation—he knows precisely the best elements of a sound or an aesthetic to elevate. For all of the above reasons, we're SO excited about this forthcoming scent. The only thing we're disappointed about is: We sort of feel like we should have seen this coming.
