Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's lil' sister Elizabeth was essentially an unknown until this past week in Park City, Utah at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival where she debuted two indies that she starred in—Silent House and Martha Marcy May Marlene. After screenings, the 21-year-old's acting chops were being applauded, even securing her a role in Rodrigo Cortes's upcoming thriller Red Lights, with Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver. Elizabeth's success is spilling over into her wardrobe choices, too. Check out the two-thumbs-up ensembles we found the baby Olsen sib stepping out in.

Winter Wonderland
Even in snow showers, Elizabeth looked fresh faced at the Sundance Film Festival on Jan. 22 in Park City, Utah. If she keeps it up (the acting and the flawless complexion), we see a beauty contract in this girl's future.

Chic On the Go
For the premiere of Martha Marcy May Marlene on Jan. 21, the up-and-comer smartly dressed up her basics with a leather orange bag and matching belt.

Short and Sweet
Looking a lot like her older sisters, Elizabeth rocked a retro mini V-neck dress with a brown belt and nude ankle strap shoes at a screening of Mao's Last Dancer in August.

Long Haul
Pre-haircut, Elizabeth emphasized her past-the-shoulders mane in a couture-y floor-skimming, oversize frock, which she wore to the Broadway opening night of Impressionism in 2009.

Kerry Washington at 'The Details' portrait session at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, on Jan. 25.
Photo: Getty Images

When you're trying to look cute in nose-biting weather, you often have to get quite creative. Which is exactly what Kerry Washington did while hanging out in Park City, Utah for the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, where her upcoming independent film The Details premiered. The actress was spotted wearing a Yeojin Bae sweater, Calvin Klein jeans, Coach boots, and an interesting Express gray pom-pommed scarf/capelet during a portrait session for the film on Jan. 25, her crew confirmed on Twitter. It appears that the knit can be worn around the neck as a scarf, or pulled down over shoulders (like Kerry did here) as a capelet (try the look yourself with this find). We're still trying to decide if this warming trend is cool or quirky. What do you think?

+ Would you wear an over-the-shoulder capelet sweater like Kerry Washington?

Alexa Chung on Jan. 24, 2011, Michelle Williams on Jan. 16, 2011, and Bonnie Wright on Dec. 3, 2010.
Photo: Getty Images/WireImage

Spring has sprung (a little early, but who cares!), courtesy of Alexa Chung, Michelle Williams and Bonnie Wright, who all recently stepped out in '70s-inspired Flower Child frocks. Alexa Chung arrived at the Paris Etam Spring/Summer 2011 fashion show on Jan. 24 in a vintage-y mid-length polka dot dress with a large orange and white flower print, which she teamed with a skinny belt and chunky YSL platforms. Even though Blue Valentine star Michelle Williams got some flack for the daisy-covered Valentino gown she wore to the 2011 Golden Globes on Jan. 16, we totally get where she was trying to go—Age of Aquarius, baby! Meanwhile, Harry Potter star Bonnie Wright wore a Miu Miu star and floral print dress to a Miu Miu store launch dinner in London on Dec. 3. The turquoise Prada sandals she added gave the ensemble a luxe boho look. If flowers are your thing, there's no better time than now (in the dead of winter) to wear them—every time you look in a mirror you'll be reminded of what you have to look forward to.

Kate Bosworth at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival premiere for "Another Happy Day" on Jan. 23 in Park City, Utah; Leighton Meester at a special screening for "The Roomate" on Jan. 23 in West Hollywood.
Photo: Getty Images/WireImage

Both Kate Bosworth and Leighton Meester donned sleeveless tummy-slashed, half-leather dresses to movie screenings over the weekend. Kate played peekaboo with her mid-drift in a knee-length Chloe dress, which she wore to the Another Happy Day screening at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. To combat the chilly temps in the ski town, she teamed the frock with black tights and Isabel Marant ankle strap heels. Meanwhile, Leighton Meester looked phenomenal in a black chiffon Michael Kors jersey dress (also with a leather cut-out at the waist), which she wore to the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie, The Roommate. Both stars rocked the biker-chic look (can't you just picture either of them strapping on a helmet and hopping on a Harley Davidson?), but we are impartial to Leighton's ensemble—her choice to straighten her strands and to go sans jewelry helped take her look over the edge (in a good way). But, what do you think?

+ Who wore their cut-out dress best—Kate Bosworth or Leighton Meester?

While their dress choices were all over the map, a handful of A-listers turned to the same designer for their red carpet clutch picks over the weekend. True Grit's Hailee Steinfeld, Glee's Heather Morris, and Scream 4's Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere all toted Amanda Pearl bags (designed by Seattle native Amanda Brotman) to various Golden Globes events on Sunday evening. Coincidence? Doubt it! These clutches are beyond adorable.

HAILEE STEINFELD: Hailee Steinfeld carried an Amanda Pearl Azzuro aqua clutch with gold circle details that added a pop of color to the cream Prabul Gurung gown she wore at the Golden Globe Awards.

EMMA ROBERTS: The short chiffon frock and the sparkly Amanda Pearl tube clutch that Emma Roberts teamed together for the InStyle and Warner Bros. Golden Globe Awards post-party were a match made in fashion heaven.

From belted beauties to long-sleeve frocks and over-the-top dresses, here are five trends that smacked us in the face at Sunday night's Golden Globes Awards.

LONG SLEEVE GOWNS: It was sunny in California, but that didn’t stop these actresses from rocking arm-covering sheaths on the red carpet. Both Anne Hathaway’s Giorgio Armani dress and Angelina Jolie’s Atelier Versace were studded with Swarovski crystals, while Leighton Meester's Burberry Prorsum printed gown featured ruched shoulders for a Victorian flair.

ONE SHOULDER DRESSES: Christina Hendricks (in Romona Keveza), Mila Kunis (in Vera Wang), and Julia Stiles (in a black ruffled gown), all nailed the one-shoulder look, thanks (in part) to their toned biceps and triceps.

BELTED BEAUTIES: Looking glamorous was a cinch for Sofia Vergara (in Vera Wang), and Glee girls Jenna Ushkowitz (in Rebecca Taylor) and Amber Riley (in Oliver Tolentino), who all belted their floor-length frocks.

SEQUINED SHEATHS: Carrie Underwood, Scarlett Johansson, and Olivia Wilde wore their star power on their backs in the form of super-sparkly, easy-to-spot dresses. Scarlett wore a bat-wing Elie Saab dress, Olivia wore a Marchesa ball gown, and Carrie wore a strapless Badgley Mischka number.

OMG! ENSEMBLES: On one hand, we want to applaud Helena Bonham Carter, Tilda Swinton, Jennifer Lopez, and January Jones for taking fashion risks. But on the other hand, we just don't get it. Helena wore two different color shoes with her Vivienne Westwood dress, Tilda's crisp white shirt and yellow skirt stiffen her demeanor, J. Lo should lose the sheer cloak (her Zuhair Murad dress would've looked just fine without it), and January's red hot Versace dress may have been a bit TOO hot.

Boys, oh boys! Tinseltown’s finest fellas were not messing around at Sunday’s Golden Globes Awards in the fashion department. Robert Pattinson, Mark Wahlberg, and others hit the red carpet in swoon-worthy suits, fabulous footwear, and tailored tuxes. Here’s a closer look at the Globes’ best-dressed guys.

By now, skinny ties are a style staple, evidenced by Robert Pattinson, Zac Efron in Calvin Klein Collection, and Jesse Eisenberg. Guys at home, if you don’t have one, what are you waiting for?!

From the five o’clock shadow like James Franco to full-on goatee action like Johnny Depp and Mark Wahlberg, facial hair was the hot new accessory at this year’s Globes.

What makes Peter Facinelli's, Jake Gyllenhaal's, and Jeremy Renner's suits look so sharp? Their picture-perfect poses—slightly angled, arms straight, chin tilted...these guys are pros!

Shades like Darren Criss', nerdy glasses like Kevin McHale's and a great head of hair like Chord Overstreet's are the unique touches that help transform an OK suit-and-tie ensemble into an amazing one.

These red carpet winners went the fitted tux route—Andrew Garfield wore a clean-cut ensemble, Mark Salling rocked a Simon Spurr suit, and Justin Beiber donned a D&G three-piece with patent leather sneakers.

When it all boils down, a suit is a suit is a suit. That is unless you put your personality into it like Christian Bale in his triple-black look, Ryan Gosling in his velvet suit with an oversize bow tie, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in his skinny-all-over suit.

When it comes to choosing the best-dressed actresses at awards shows, everyone's a critic. But, we have a feeling that this fab four will be on the top of nearly every 2011 Golden Globe Awards "hot" list out there. And, here's why...

DIANNA AGRON: Glee girl Dianna Agron looked picture perfect in a strapless J. Mendel dress, which she partnered with a Cathy Waterman necklace and an adorable gold Ferragamo clutch. We thought the barrette she slipped into her hair was a nice feminine touch.

ANNE HATHAWAY: It's not easy to pull off head-to-toe sequins, but Anne Hathaway did it with this Armani Prive amber-colored gown. The trick? With all that bling, she kept her hair and makeup simple and polished.

MILA KUNIS: Black Swan's Mila Kunis rocked a green one-shoulder Vera Wang gown down the red carpet. She teamed the stunning dress with a few gold bangles and a tres chic french roll in her hair.

Honeysuckle may be the cool new hue for 2011, but pink, green, beige, blue, red, and black stole the color show (if only momentarily) at Sunday’s Golden Globes Awards. Which shade was your fave?

PRETTY IN PINK: Claire Danes, who scooped up a Golden Globe, wore a bright pink Calvin Klein halter dress, while Natalie Portman (in Viktor & Rolf), Emma Stone (in Calvin Klein), and Lea Michele (in Oscar de la Renta), chose softer shades of pink.

EMERALD CITY: It was a green scene on the red carpet with Elisabeth Moss (appropriate last name!) in a Donna Karan forest-hued strapless dress, and Catherine Zeta-Jones in Monique Lhuillier. Angelina Jolie rocked a sparkly Versace dress, while Mila Kunis picked the perfect shade of green (in a Vera Wang dress) for her skin tone.

BEIGE BEAUTIES: The beiges worn by Scarlett Johansson, Michelle Williams, Sarah Hyland, and Dianna Agron were FAR from boring. Scarlett wore a sheer/lacy Elie Saab number, while Michelle wore a daisy-covered Valentino dress. Sarah Hyland and Dianna Agron went for strapless silhouettes in Max Azria Atelier and J. Mendel, respectively.

SEA OF BLUE: Jenna Ushkowitz (in Rebecca Taylor), Mandy Moore (in a colbat single-shoulder dress), and Amy Adams (in Marchesa) stayed true in gorgeous shades of blue.

BEAUTIFUL IN BLACK: Jennifer Lawrence (in Louis Vuitton), Jayma Mays (in Alberta Ferretti), Piper Perabo (in Oscar de la Renta), and Julia Stiles (in a single-shoulder ruffled dress) stuck with the classics—it's hard to go wrong with a bold, elegant dark gown.

As we all know, sometimes it’s the little things—hair, makeup, shoes, and bags—that make or break an outfit. From Jayma Mays’ super-saturated orange lipstick to Olivia Wilde’s spiked and studded gold pumps, these were the minor details that made these celebs 2011 Golden Globes ensembles MAJOR.

LOUD LIPS: A handful of stars brightened their pearly whites with poppy pout polish. Natalie Portman and Julia Stiles both picked petal pink, while Piper Perabo swiped on a fresh red, and Jayma Mays chose an orange-y hue.

PRETTY PONYTAILS: Proving that ponytails can be just as dressy as chignons, Glee's Jessalyn Gilsig, True Grit's Hailee Steinfeld, and The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco all whipped their long strands up.

BIG BANGS: Actresses Sandra Bullock and Olivia Wilde teamed their bone straight stands with brow-skimming bangs for a sleek and sophisticated look.

COOL CLUTCHES: The uniqueness of Leighton Meester’s gold Louis Vuitton bag, Hailee Steinfeld’s blue Amanda Pearl cylinder clutch, and Jayma Mays vintage-y Judith Leiber fan-shaped handbag was just as important as the essentials they stashed inside them.
