4:26pm — Super short and sweet, three colors, 20 looks that ends in a go kart race around the crowd. Check back in for the detailed wrap-up and more.

4:25pm — I do love the classic, American sportswear cues like this bone-colored, oversized (clearly V luxe) crewneck sweatshirt

4:23pm — These ribbed (strapped?) boots are absolutely the business.

4:22pm — The burnout velvet pieces are gorgeous and happily, Kanye has overcome the loosey-goosey fit problem from last season.

4:21pm — Really serious, austere lines, girlie notes in the skirts, and velvet.

4:19pm — Boatloads of leather.

4:17pm — FUR BAGS again.

4:08pm — We can keep talking since we're not there BUT Anna Wintour just told the WSJ that she anticipates a "short show." WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

4:07pm — Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh everyone's asked to sit down and be quiet. Must be starting soon. Ish. Esque.

4:06pm — Kim K is wearing Kanye's SIX THOUSAND DOLLAR shuz.

Ladies and gentlemen, we welcome you to KANYE WEST Runway Show Day. As you might imagine, this is a ginormous event for us all here at MTV Style. We've been counting this fash magic down ever since the last Paris Fashion Week when Yeezy made his ready-to-wear debut. Everyone in the DONDA camp has been tight-lipped about today's fall 2012 show (which is taking place at 9:30 p.m. Paris time, 3:30 p.m. ET), but news has finally (TRIUMPHANTLY) been revealed and we are in serious hyperventilation mode. You guys, Azealia Banks just tweeted a shot of the runway and it's ENORMOUS. Also? She said, "Sound Check at Kanye West Runway Show!!!!" This can only mean one thing—and it's reinforced by the multiple use of exclamation points and all caps—AZEALIA BANKS might possibly be *gasp* PERFORMING!!!! Not that we weren't expecting this already, but the Kanye West show is starting to feel like a spectacular to end all spectaculars.

kenzo fall 2012

Looks from the Fall 2012 Kenzo show at Paris Fashion Week.

It's official. We're completely OBSESSED with Kenzo. The love affair began with the newly revamped label's first Paris Fashion Week show last October, which featured Chloe Sevigny on the runway and Jason Schwartzman behind a drum kit. Our hearts swelled even more with the crazy colorful pre-fall presentation turned out to be our dream wardrobe. But the fall 2012 show—which took place in a space-age looking French university building with 50 models walking a runway that spanned four floors—catapulted us to beyond smitten with its bold mix of pattern, color, print (GRAPES!), accessories (WALNUTS!), and a front row cheer section that included Robyn and Sean "Diddy" Combs. Did we mention there were Magnolia Bakery cupcakes flown in from New York and placed on every seat? (#delicious) But, seriously, the clothes were even yummier.

Kanye West, Cassie

Givenchy has long been a beloved fashion house of celebrities, particularly musicians, for years, so it only makes sense that the hottest stars of the music scene turned up in droves for Riccardo Tisci's latest showing at Paris Fashion Week. The edgy luxury collection of sleek leathers and buttery silks in rich seasonal neutrals and punches of neon was watched by a front row glittering with music heavy-hitters. Tisci muse Kanye West posted up in a star-spangled white Givenchy sweater to watch the autumn womenswear collection's debut just a few days before his own Paris show tomorrow. Singer Cassie also attended the show, looking stunning as always in a large black fur draped over her shoulders and opulent hand (and nail!) jewelry. Cassie's mentor Diddy was also spotted front row, as well as the lovely Miss Alicia Keys.

We haven't heard a peep out of Kanye West about the state of his foray into fashion following that epic Twitter rant back in early January, but we have heard that he plans to show again at Paris Fashion Week in the coming weeks. And though we haven't heard about the state of his signature KANYE WEST label, we do know that he seems to be as committed to fashion as ever as evidenced by his shirtless appearance in Vogue celebrating Givenchy Creative Director Riccardo Tisci, as well as his support for designer Mark Fast at London Fashion Week. But if there's any new news that trumpets Yeezy's commitment to the garment arts, it's the fact that he designed the shoes for up-and-coming Australian designer Dion Lee's debut show. Also? These shoes are RAD.

Harnesses, gorilla arms, and covered faces were big trends at Fall 2012 New York Fashion Week.
Photo:

New York Fashion Week has wrapped, so now it's a time for reflection. A time to take stock and truly think about what trends to incorporate into your new fall wardrobe. It's also a time to look at videos made whilst one is tired and strangely retaining water in one's puffy moonface against the backdrop of spliced-in photos of models looking waifish and extra cheek-boney. SERIOUSLY, do I look like this? Also, don't answer that.

So, on to the point! Here, we have created a video for you that includes the four most notable trends of the season as gauged by prevalence on the runway: loooooong, lean lengths; leather; fur; and artful collars. From Rodarte's shearling dress to Herve Leger by Max Azria's leather harnesses, to the ubiquity of a thing called "gorilla arms," here is my enormous head looming before you in hopefully a nonthreatening (at the very least) manner to spasm chat about a New York Fashion Week fall trend cheat sheet. Namaste. Or whatever.

London Fashion Week is in full swing, and if there's any brand that's rolling out the most rollicking celeb-fueled thunder it's Mulberry. Known for its exquisite handbags, the popular British lifestyle brand has blossomed into a full-fledged fashion force in recent years with covetable collections mixing casual elegance with whimsical charm. Not only was the front row of the autumn/winter show packed with actresses like Michelle Williams and Elizabeth Olsen, the show was rounded out with female musicians Azealia Banks and Lana Del Rey, who also performed at the post-show Mulberry dinner wearing a dramatic black lace custom Mulberry dress. Oh, and she carried the latest Mulberry bag, the "Del Rey," made of white ostrich. Um, say what?

Pssst, Kanye West is in the U.K.! He was spotted out and about in London recently wearing his fave silhouette—namely layers over pants, which we've seen before—as well as a coterie of denim and a whisper of mint green. As you might already be aware (that is, if you follow Yeezy's every fashion move like we do in a somewhat maniacally rabid way), KW is set to show his second KANYE WEST collection at Paris Fashion Week on March 6. So, what is he doing in London? Does any of this have to do with his own line? Also, what in the name of Azzedine Alaïa is going on with his creative conglomerate, DONDA?

As exciting as Fashion Week always is, it's a little bit of a cruel joke. I mean, I'm all for getting a full-on preview of every dress, shoe, and trend I'll be lusting after in the future, but to have to wait basically a YEAR to have any hope of actually getting my hands on it?? What a tease. If you're anything like us, you feel this, too, and for you, dear MTV Style readers, we have a happy little post-New York Fashion Week treat: FOUR Fall 2012 outfits that you can replicate right now!

MARA HOFFMAN

Mara Hoffman's fall collection was an amalgamation of ethnic and frontier influences, and thanks to the geometric Aztec prints and intarsia knits on racks right now, you can cobble together this ensemble right now. All you'll need is a graphic printed tee like this long-sleeved one from American Eagle, some vibrant pleated peg-leg trousers, a geometric cardigan, black ankle booties, a floppy felt hat, and a chunky gold necklace. Voila! Your very own expedited runway look!

Whitney Eve Fall 2012

A look from the The Blonds Fall 2012 collection and designers David Blonde and Phillipe Blond on Feb. 15 in New York City.
Photo: Getty Images

Couple of things you need to know about The Blonds’ Fall 2012 New York Fashion Week show. There was a light cycle from 'Tron' cold chilling on the runway like it was no big deal. The season marked the DEBUT of their men’s collection (spun off from their bespoke collections for Adam Lambert, who was front and center). There were bustiers and loooooooooooooooooong blunt beautiful ponytails (sorta on that Iggy Azalea tip) jutting out of helmets. And last, but certainly not least, Lil’ Kim showed up wearing last season’s white ostrich feather + bejeweled bodice that was tailored and altered expressly for the Queen B herself.

We ran backstage and spoke to both Phillipe and David Blond about this season’s inspiration, their muses, and music which, DJ'd by Scott Ewalt, followed a gear-head theme with Leather Angel's "Whole Lotta Love," Love And Rockets' "Motorcycle," "Leader of the Gang" from Gary Glitter as well as Lana Del Rey's "Kinda Outta Luck," an artist that The Blonds cite as an inspiration.
