In the old days, bloggers, fashion fans, and editors in the making alike counted on Style.com to keep up with the shows if they couldn't make it to New York Fashion Week. Flipping through images from the shows was like the high school fashion fan's daily meditation, paired with daydreams of the day that they would not only be able to go to New York, but also be able to sit front row (or sit at all) themselves. But those were simpler times, and the fashion world had not yet become the egalitarian (sometimes) free-for-all that it is now. Fashion Week has become fashion month; the tents have become Lincoln Center; everyone from the old standby designers to the scrappy up-and-comers, to everyone else in between has a show; and now, as of this season, all of the shows taking place at Lincoln Center can also come directly to your computer, iPad, or other device via Mercedes Benz Fashion Week's official livestreams. Both at newyork.mbfashionweek.com and facebook.com/mbfashionweek, the streams will allow you to watch tons of shows, right along with your favorite bloggers, editors, and photographers. Want to feel like you're sitting with us at Rebecca Minkoff, Mara Hoffman/, Charlotte Ronson, and more? Here's your ticket, and it's a lot cheaper than a flight to New York, a lot warmer than being here, too.

Cara Delevingne

Cara Delevingne begins her 'LOVE' Instagram takeover.
Photo: @TheLoveMagazine Instagram

Fashion Week is upon us, you guys! And whether this means lugging your clothes to the dry cleaners so you'll have something to wear to shows or just prepping your PJs to livestream the collections on your couch, here's one thing EVERYONE should do: start following LOVE magazine on Instagram, because Cara Delevingne has officially taken over. This season's model MVP, new British VOGUE cover girl, and pro-Instagrammer is documenting her New York fashion week adventures for the masses. So far she's mostly 'gramming kissy pictures with Kate Moss, Karl Lagerfeld or her own LOVE cover, but we know it's only a matter of time before more of her trademark funny faces make their way into our feeds.

Saint Lou Lou at the Maison Kitsuné fashion show.

Music and fashion have been closerthanclose since day one— after all, that's what this blog is ALL about. But while rad performance outfits and musicians modeling in campaigns is nothing new (just look at Nicki, Katy, or pretty much anyone with a recent Top 40 single as proof), it's rarer to find musicians who actually work it on the runways. And THIS is exactly why Paris Fashion Week this season is so out of the ordinary, as indie rockers are replacing top models on Maison Kitsuné and Saint Laurent Paris catwalks. Kitsuné twisted the traditional show concept this week, instead opting for a televised concert starring the fashion brand-slash-music-label's roster of artists. Genius, right? Emerging acts such as Swedish duo Saint Lou Lou, Brit band Citizens!, and French electro-popper Yelle all hit the stage decked out in the new Fall/Winter collection.

H&M runway versace

H&M might be considered fast fashion, but between recent collaborations with Versace, Margiela, and Marni, there's absolutely no question the Swedish retail giant has its affordable-meets-designer game on lock. Now it's the label's turn to take to the runway with its very first show in NINE YEARS during Paris Fashion Week! Joining PFW veterans like Dior, YSL, and Chanel, H&M will parade 25 looks from its Fall 2013 collection down the catwalk on February 27. While the company's no stranger to the concept—the Versace collection was presented as a fashion show back in 2011—we can't wait to see how this quick shopping staple actually translates in the massive Musée Rodin venue next month.

The tornado of glamour, celebs, and clothing that is New York Fashion Week won't kick off for a couple more weeks, but good news! There's a whole other Fashion Week happening right this second across the pond. That's right, Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture is in full swing, with designers like Karl Lagerfeld and Raf Simons showing their intricately-crafted, totally swoon-worthy wares. And while you can always keep up with the action by checking traditional photo sites, this season it's the front row fixtures and models themselves who are REALLY the ones giving us the ultimate inside scoop (via Instagram, of course). So grab your phone and get ready to follow—we've got your Paris Fashion Week "It List" right here.

There's no better person to kick off the group than fashion darling Hailee Steinfeld, who's already garnered QUITE the modeling resume for a 16-year-old. The former Miu Miu face stopped by the Chanel show earlier today, looking the part of a Parisienne in a leather pencil skirt, collegiate cardigan, Chanel purse, and perfectly tilted hat. Besides posing with Karl, Hailee also called out Cara Delevingne on Instagram with a close-up of the model working it on the runway. Awww.

Kenzo

A look from Kenzo's FW 2013 show, and Jamie XX performing at Brixton Academy.

The shows may be all about the clothes, but here at MTV Style, they're also all about the music. The models are only on the catwalk for a few minutes, but at the best shows, the audience is not only transported by the looks they're watching strut up and down the runway, but also by the overall experience that's created. The music chosen to showcase the collection says a lot about the overall philosophy behind it, and so it's without a doubt one of the most important aspects of the whole show. For their Fall/Winter 2013 menswear show at Pitti Uomo in Florence, Italy, Kenzo complemented their "Jungle in the Sky" theme with an ethereal yet hard-hitting mix from Jamie xx. Building from sparkly chimes and smooth sax into minimalist percussion and then a dreamy piano and synth melody, the 9 minute mix combines elements of ambient sound, spacious house beats, and sassy interjections. Basically, it captures the sporty, clean feel of the clothes themselves to a T. Sad you didn't get to be there to see it yourself? Well, our friends over at Opening Ceremony were there, and you can watch the show and hear Jamie's mix in the video after the jump!

New York Fashion Week may be a little over a month away, but here at MTV Style, we don't just keep an eye on women's ready-to-wear collections. We keep our sights glued on all countries, seasons, levels of craftsmanship, and genders for style inspiration. Thus, we're warming up our trendspotters with the men's fall/winter 2013 London Collections. Here are the unexpected trends we've spied from the week's dude fashion forecast.

MASKED MEN

Kanye West closed out 2012 with a pair of high fashion face masks for his Revel Atlantic City concerts. Judging from this week's offerings via Alexander McQueen and MAN, 2013 might be the year the casual face mask becomes (a little more) mainstream!

Angel Haze

Angel Haze has been frequenting our radar from her Eminem tribute track "Cleaning Out My Closet" to her Classick mixtape. If you didn't already know about her, chances are pretty good that you've heard a word or two regarding the 21-year-old rapper in the past two days. At press time, she and Azealia Banks are engaged in a heated Twitter duel, complete with rapid fire dis tracks. The drama is seductive (let it be known, though, that we're crossing our fingers that this is actually the ultimate Rick Roll and ends in that rumored collaboration track *winces, ducks for cover*), but we're taking this moment to shine a light on a fashion Easter egg that may have been lost in the crossfire: Angel Haze met Mark McNairy today and subsequently tweeted that she'll be walking this Fashion Week. (!!!!!!!!)

Alia Wang, Karlie Kloss

It's well-storied within the fashion community that Alexander Wang's niece, Aila, is one of the (expectedly) best-dressed children on the planet. (Sorry, Suri Cruise!) But seeing her clad in custom threads from her sartorial magician of an uncle AND juxtaposed with Karlie Kloss serving up smoky-eyed realness in the same collection? Our brains have had such a difficult time reconciling the simultaneous cute and fierce that yea, we ARE still talking about these looks close to a month after they each first graced the world. YOU MAD??? The clincher for us is how next-level genius Wang's Spring 2013 collection is rendered by seeing these images in tandem.

Daft Punk Saint Laurent

If you weren't one of the few people lucky enough to attend Paris Fashion Week this season, you might feel, well, a tad shortchanged. Sure, you can peep endless runway photos and scour Instagram for super-cool backstage snaps, but nothing compares to actually being at a fashion show, amirite? Well, friends, we've got some good news—The Cut got their hands on the ENTIRE. SOUNDTRACK. from the highly-anticipated Saint Laurent spring/summer 2013 show, and it features music by THE Daft Punk. *cries tears of joy* Like, could this be more awesome, y'all? Our fave electronic French duo created a 15-minute (yes, that says FIFTEEN. MINUTE.) soundtrack for the models to strut their stuff to with vocals by Junior Kimbrough, an iconic blues musician who passed away in 1998.
