Katy Perry in the November issue of 'W.'

Va-va-VOOM! With Prism hot off the record presses, Katy Cats are getting a double-dose of their fearless queen today with a new series of photos from W magazine. Actually, seeing as how they snapped dual Katy Perry covers for the Special Edition “Global Style” issue, we’re really getting a ~triple~ dose of the provocative pop singer. Perry channels old-school screen-siren glamour on one cover, wearing a perforated white Chanel dress and Harry Winston diamond block earrings with a small stud diamond necklace (also by Winston). Oh, and her makeup? All COVERGIRL products for the brand's newest face, ‘natch. (Though, on the second cover, she wears Michael Kors and Revlon.)
Praise be to VH1 and TLC for this biopic (airing tonight at 9 p.m. EST)! Not only does it give us a look at some previously untold TLC history—by way of Drew Sidora, Keke Palmer, and Lil Mama—CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story afforded us the opportunity to talk to T-Boz and Chilli themselves about the wardrobing process for the film and the group's rise to style infamy which maaaayyyy or may not have caused this writer to go into cold sweats immediately following this interview. It's not every day you get the chance to talk to your heroes, OK??
Tomboy is in. In case our style icons (and ruthless gender benders) Aaliyah and TLC didn’t make that clear, look more recently at Peter Som’s NYFW show, Rihanna and Beyonce BOTH wearing Givenchy menswear right off the runway and En Noir’s very menswear inspired first womenswear collection. Women have claimed men’s clothing with a newfound vigor and those who are anxious to join in, but can’t quite afford runway, can turn to Wildfang.
Shailene Woodley on the cover of 'Elle.'
Well, they could have at LEAST given the girl a towel. Shailene Woodley is one of six actresses (alongside big screen heavy weights like Reese Witherspoon, Penelope Cruz and Marion Cotillard) who appear on the cover of Elle’s “2013 Women in Hollywood” issue—and from the looks of it, she probably smells like chlorine. I mean, Shailene’s gotta be a very busy lady, so it’s totally possible that the mag had to squeeze a quick photoshoot in during her daily back-stroke lesson, or whatever. Or it could just be about #FASHUN. (It’s probably about #FASHUN.) Slicked back hair IS pretty chic right now.
Miley Cyrus appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, and among the things discussed in the interview portion of the show were: Miley’s recent Liam Hemsworth breakup (*GASP*), strippers (*DOUBLE GASP*), her ever-present tongue (*shrug*) and the must-have Miley Cyrus twerking figurine (GIMME). After gifting Miley one of the limited-edition “Bobble Butts,” Ellen also took a minute to recognize Cyrus’ undying obsession with onesies. (See also: Your next Halloween costume.) Ellen then reached back into her bag of presents and pulled out the most magnificent onesie the world will ever lay their eyes on.
It's no secret that we're big fans of Selena Gomez around here at MTV Style: we keep up to date on her hairstyles, who she's hanging out with, and what she's wearing on tour. As big-time Selenators, imagine how excited we were when we found out that we'd get to chat with Selly about her "Stars Dance" tour wardrobe, her role in the design process, and how she changes outfits so many times. We were the most excited.
For most people sitting at their desks, working/drumming their fingers on their keyboards, watching the clock and waiting for lunch, today is just another day. HOWEVER! If you’re a Miley Cyrus fan, today is Tuesday, October 8th—and that means BANGERZ is officially out, y’all! *raises roof* *throws confetti* *twerks twerks* But wait, there’s more! Today also brings another Miley interview to the interwebz, complete with purdy pictures and a little bit of insight into the inspiration behind her evolving style.
In a new feature from Hunger TV, the singer snuggles up with a powder blue fur for a series of beauty shots that produced the following faces: sexy face, sultry face, silly face, surprised face and tongue face. Always with the tongue face. (And yes, we’ve deemed “tongue face” to be an accurate description of multiple Miley expressions.) Clearly, Cyrus is well-aware that people are “so obsessed” with what she’s doing visually these days (see also: the VMAs, "Wrecking Ball" video, etc.), and her edgy new style is a huge part of her musical transformation.
Madonna on 'Harper's BAZAAR.'
Photo: Terry Richardson for 'Harper's BAZAAR'
WOW. This has got to be the first time in the history of Harper’s that a grill has been worn on the cover, amirite? Man, Madonna STAYS breaking ground. *bows down* But wait. Does this mean that mouth jewels have officially received a nod of approval from the prestigious fashion mag? Well, I guess it is the “Daring Issue." And this is MADONNA. The only way this metal-mouth #FASHUN statement could be made any more daring by the 55-year-old Queen of Pop is if it included a death-defying motorcycle jump across the Grand Canyon.
Demi Lovato on the cover of 'Teen Vogue.'
Photo: Teen Vogue
We’ve seen Demi Lovato do a lot of things with her hair (remember when she dyed it blue on Wednesday? #memories), but this is the first time we’ve ever seen her –or any star, for that matter—rock a braided silk scarf as like, the tail of an actual braid. How do you even do that?! Tutorial, plz. For her second Teen Vogue cover, the singer/actress/X Factor Judge/Glee guest star/The New Black nail polish collaborator (whew! *wipes brow*) traded her rock-star style for a more relaxed, city-girl-in-the-country look, pairing a low-cut red top with a charcoal wide-brimmed felt fedora and a stunning emerald and gold necklace.
The Jonas Brothers on the cover of 'FAULT' Magazine.

If we’ve seemed at all out of sorts lately, it’s because we’ve really been struggling to fill a huge void in our lives—but fear not! Because that void is about to be refilled. Collectively, the Jonas Brothers have been AWOL for the past few months—and while we understand that they can’t do everything together all the time, it’d be a lot easier for us to keep track of their handsome mugs (and avoid future life-voids) if they just stayed in the same place. Forever. We’ve got a whole lot of love for plenty of other boy bands out there, but the JoBros are special. The JoBros are, well, BROS. And there’s something pretty presh about keeping harmonies in the family. (Also because, eyebrows.)
So, when we got word that Joe, Kevin and Nick would all be appearing on the cover of FAULT Magazine’s Fall 2013 issue at the same time AND talking about their new album, V, we swooned SO hard—like, right here at our desks. It was basically like watching a bunch of really stylish dominoes topple over in graceful succession. (FYI: No one was injured in said swooning.) Once we recovered, we peeped some shots from their “illumination”-themed shoot, and then we swooned again. JK we just squealed really loud instead because HI, they’re hot.
