Greta Gerwig's onscreen alter-ego in the new indie movie Frances Ha might be a little bit bumbling and slightly (OK, really) awkward, but that doesn't make her struggling Brooklyn dancer protagonist any less lovable. In fact, it's these imperfections, along with her off-kilter clothing collection, that keep Frances true to life and SO freaking lovable. Her character's uniform consists mainly of thrifted ill-fitting bomber jackets and leggings over sundresses, but in real life, Greta Gerwig's wardrobe is far from schleppy. The actress, writer, and director has earned rising style star status over the past couple of years, fronting Band of Outsiders' ad campaign, going punk for the Met Gala, and just this week, was a total breath of fresh air dressed in a white pantsuit at the CFDA Awards. Before she takes off to promote Frances Ha overseas, Greta called to chat about the story behind the movie's costumes and her trick to staying sane on the red carpet.

LeBron James, Rachel Johnson

LeBron James is one of the biggest names in sports. Today, tomorrow, and for the better part of the forseeable future. Tonight, King James and his Miami Heat teammates take on the San Antonio Spurs for Game 1 of the 2013 NBA Finals. As you may or may not know, LeBron was equally as lauded for his presence off the court during last year's Finals, thanks to a little healthy fashion competition between the Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder. With that kind of precedent, there's no telling what this season's match-up has in store on the style front, but we hit up LeBron's long-time trusted stylist Rachel Johnson to try and extract those answers before game time anyway.

Rachel, along with Dwyane Wade's stylist Calyann Barnett, is one of the pioneers of the whole sports styling scene. She's seen it grow from scrounging up custom-tailored designer duds from the few labels that would do it to anchoring an agency of stylists (Thomas Faison) and outfitting the hottest player in the game. We caught up with her to chat about dressing LJ and since we're nearing the end of basketball season, where in the world of sports we might be able to get our fashion fix next. Check it out!

We might as well go ahead and officially proclaim this week as Miley Cyrus Week around these parts of the internet, because YOU GUYS. Her new single is finally here! And now that we've had a full 24 hours to truly digest her summer party anthem "We Can't Stop", we're back with an MTV News exclusive clip from the star. Our cameras followed Miley on the day of her single release, which included hitting up Ryan Seacrest in LA, visiting Twitter HQ in Silicon Valley, and obviously hanging out with fans. The MTV team also got the scoop from the singer herself on how her image has changed since her Hannah Montana days, and how her post-pixie cut re-invention is on her OWN terms. As Miley shares with the cameras in between outfit changes (she's wearing both a striped Marc Jacobs shorts suit and killer printed pants and black tank in the clip), "I am a self-proclaimed party animal, but I also am the hardest-working person you'll ever know." No argument there!

Dwyane Wade, Calyann Barnett

When it comes to the unique (but growing) intersection of sports, more specifically basketball, and fashion, there is one dude who consistently slays, always dressing a cut above the rest: Dwyane Wade. The Miami Heat point guard was one of the first to start wearing "nerdy" thick-rimmed glasses to the post-game podium, helping jumpstart and trend within the league. From there, he's catapulted to bona fide style star status, appearing alongside our girl Karlie Kloss in Vogue (granted, he's shirtless), collaborating on dress shoes (not just sneakers!), and hosting his own charity runway show. Of course, it's important to note that he does this all with the help of one very talented lady who was the catalyst for his fashion overhaul, his stylist Calyann Barnett. We caught up with Barnett for a quick chat about Flash's wave-making style as we look forward to aaaaall the amped up post-game podium looks to come while the Heat forge ahead on their quest for another go-around at NBA Finals glory. Check it out!

Craig Sager

Craig Sager's 2012-13 NBA Season suits.

Before post-game Playoffs style, before the faux glasses fashion Finals, there was one guy consistently and single-handedly ramping up the sartorial game of the NBA: Craig Sager. The NBA on TNT sideline reporter has made a name for himself by combining exemplary work with a very distinct personal steez (as in, you can see this guy coming from infinity eye-bugging miles away). In a field wherein being fashion forward has previously taken a backseat, Sager's technicolor "suit and tie s***" may have been misunderstood, at times even mocked, for years. That never shot his style spirit or deterred him from his trademark look, though, lunging after every brightly colored, kooky print-laden, tailored garment he could get his hands on. That IDGAF attitude and style savvy makes him, to us anyway, a kind of Lady Gaga of the NBA which is high praise from these quarters of the interwebz. Thus, we're celebrating him with a retrospective look at his suits from the 2012-13 NBA season AND a quick chat with Ricardo Aldama who owns and presides over Rex Fabrics, the Miami fabric store responsible for so many of Sager's custom suits.

Mike Conley

As of last night, the Memphis Grizzlies are unfortunately officially out of the NBA Finals running now, with the San Antonio Spurs having been crowned the Western Conference champions. Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley has proven himself time and time again a player to be reckoned with thanks to his unflinching determination and a winning combination of ability and heart, but it's his makings as a star off the court that we'll be remembering from this NBA Playoffs season (because FASHUN, duhhh). Stylist Brandon Williams has been outfitting Conley all season in crisp GQ-worthy duds that maintain an immaculate balance of being on-trend but still relatable to the majority of the male sportsball-watching public, with the biggest risk perhaps being his wooden bow tie worn after Game 4 of the Thunder v. Grizzlies series. We tracked down the origin of the timber accessory to Two Guys' Bow Ties and caught up with co-founder Tim Paslay about Mike Conley, Ron Swanson, and what comes after wooden bow ties.

Rebecca Minkoff and Taylor Swift.

It all started with a t-shirt. Can you believe that something so ordinary is responsible for launching a career as extraordinary as Rebecca Minkoff's?! Well, back in 2001, the designer released her take on the iconic "I Love New York" tee. The top caused a fashion explosion, and 12 years later she has clothing, shoes, and accessories stamped with her name, and is one of the most well-known designers out there today. Now she's teaming up with Diet Coke and Taylor Swift to give another young designer the chance she once had, with the Diet Coke Young Designer Challenge. The competition asks young designers to put their innovative, creative spin on the iconic Diet Coke logo and packaging, for the opportunity to dream up a tee that will then be sold in Target stores all over the country. Not only that, but the winner will also get $10,000 and a chance to meet Taylor Swift herself. Pretty major prize, huh? Last week we chatted with Rebecca herself about the contest, what she'll be looking for, and her own inspiration. Don't think she's giving away any secrets, though—you're going to have to think up a boundary-pushing design all on your own. We know you can do it, though!

Whether you're going off of award wins (Grammys, VMAs, BET, check!), albums sold (8 million-plus since 1999, NBD) or even her indisputable fashion cred, there's no denying it: Eve is one seriously intimidating lady. While her insane list of accomplishments is enough to out-cool approximately 99% of the population, the superstar is actually way more relatable than her Wikipedia page would lead you to believe. We learned this recently when the Ruff Ryder's First Lady stopped by MTV to talk about her new album and how her style has changed since those "Gangsta Lovin'" days.

Welp, if that picture above wasn't enough to stop you dead in your tracks, I don't know what will. You're staring at three lovely style bloggers, one of which may look a wee bit familiar to y'all. In the center is Gabi Gregg, the former MTV TJ and MTV Style contributor, who happens to run an incredibly successful fashion blog, GabiFresh. When she's not showing off her 'dorbs daily ensembles, she's working as a columnist for InStyle or discussing body image and bikinis on the Today show (NBD). Somehow between all that, she still found time to create her first-ever plus size swimsuit collection (that she announced in late April), which is officially available to purchase starting today. Eeee! Her five-piece swimsuitsforall line features everything from neon bikinis to galaxy print coverups, and I'm OB-SESSED. Obviously I needed to get the low-down on Gabi's entire collection, so I hit her up to give me ALL the deets behind her pieces including, yes, that amazing Spring Breakers-inspired lookbook shoot. Check out the full interview below!

Demi Lovato

BRB guys. We're just STILL having a heart attack (get it?) from Demi Lovato gracing our offices with her radiant presence yesterday. The golden-throated pop star stopped by our Times Square headquarters less than 24 hours ago to chat LIVE with MTV News' Christina Garibaldi and a few lucky Lovatics in celebration of the official release of her brand new album DEMI. Along with talking about her eponymously titled record, Miss Lovato played a few DEMI themed games, including one with a similar idea as Pictionary that went hilariously awry. Apparently, our girl D, like us, has a pretty lewd sense of humor, but it's her ability to balance that with looking totally poised and professional that makes us love her so much.
