Between this week's New York Times profile on founder Sophia Amoruso (they nickname her "Cinderella of Tech"), a rumored deal with Urban Outfitters, and its day-to-day biz of dressing girls in generally badass, super cute clothes, Nasty Gal is clearly on a fast track to world domination. But first, the label has to make a quick pit stop at Coachella. For the newest lookbook, Sophia and co. recruited YouTube star and all-around Cali cool girl Pia Mia Perez to model the brand's latest collection of festival-ready wares. We first suspected something rad was brewing between the two when Sophia posted this picture to Instagram a couple of weeks ago with the caption "@princesspiamia prepares to caravan across the desert with our team to shoot the upcoming Coachella lookbook. Instagram castings do happen!" Hold up, Instagram CASTINGS?! With almost 200K followers on her @PrincessPiaMia account, Sophia isn't exactly plucking Pia Mia from obscurity, Cinderella-style...but the unusual story of how the teen scored her first real modeling gig does sound a bit like a 21st century fairytale.

One could argue that every issue of Galore mag is one about women who rock, since their subjects are always so bonkers amazing, but their Spring 2013 glossy certainly ups the ante in that department. Featuring interviews with a grip of awesome ladies, including Kate Nash, Andrej Pejic, and Brooke Candy, and a slightly racy cover shoot featuring Chanel Iman, it has spring fever written all over it. Shot by Ellen Von Unwerth, Chanel poses in a silver, deep v-necked bodysuit and mirrored gold pumps, silver sunglasses pushed girlishly up on her head, eyes looking straight into the camera, like she's contemplating whether or not to eat you alive. The vibe is a little bit Boogie Nights, a little bit '70s, and extremely opulent, and it's really working for us.

Lynn Dell And Leandra Medine.

You know how much we love Advanced Style. Ari Seth Cohen's blog-turned-book-turned-documentary is one of our favorite destinations for inspiration that transcends trends, and with his latest endevour he has paired some of our fave bloggers with some truly fabulous advanced ladies. Advanced Style x Coach: Generations of Style should be required watching for every young fashion fan, as each of the segments is filled with unbeatable advice. Cohen paired Man Repeller's Leandra Medine up with "Countess of Glamour" Lynn Dell for the series, and watching the two together fills our hearts with endless amounts of joy as we put our noses into our notebooks and furiously write down all of Lynn's expert advice.

A little background: Lynn Dell is a New York City fashion legend. The owner of Boutique Off Broadway on Manhattan's Upper West Side, she's been a provider of sage style advice for more than 40 years. Leandra recalls one of Lynn's most well known quotes in the video, which is one that we're going to put in our pocket and carry around forever. "Fashion says 'me too;' style says 'only me.'" Isn't that the truth?! Advanced Style also paired blogger Susie Bubble with Ilona Royce Smithkin and FrouFrouu with Linda Rodin and we would highly recommend watching all three videos. Sharpen your pencils!

So we've been keeping some very close tabs on Rita Ora's new modeling gig as the face of Italian sneaker company Superga (see exhibits A, B, and C), but while much of our, uh, "research" thus far has been restricted to rumors and Instagram pics, now we can finally witness the campaign in all of its hi-res glory! Straight from the brand itself, these pics showcase Rita showing off her true sneaker steez— making even a long silk dress and a full face of makeup look streetwear-cool with her tan lowtops. Complete with soft, Marilyn Monroe-esque waves and retro sunglasses, Rita's look has fully convinced us to push the rest of our shoe stash aside for the moment. This spring, it's ALL about sneakers. #sorryimnotsorry

Give up a lil' round of applause for our girl Selena Gomez, y'all! Not only is she doing diligent promotion for Spring Breakers, hitting the late night circuit extra-hard—Late Show with David Letterman on Monday night to Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night—but she's also BRINGING it with the high fashion looks for all of her appearances. Letterman was a little more done-up with black, lace, sequins and Emilio Pucci, but for Fallon and its later air-time and younger-skewing audience, Selly let her hair done (literally!) and shimmied into a beautiful Antonio Berardi cocktail dress.

It's one thing to obsess over Spring Breakers from afar, over the internet, or from that perfect seat halfway toward the back of the movie theater. But it's a totally different situation (and obviously a WAY better one) to obsess over the new Harmony Korine film with one of the stars herself! Yep, we're talking about Ashley Benson, who invited us to come visit her at the Faviana HQ in New York City—she's the face of the special occasion dress brand—and dish on allllll stuff fashion. In between talking about prom (we'll have more on that later...stay tuned!), Ashley filled us in on what it was really like filming Spring Breakers down in Florida with Selena, Vanessa, Rachel and James. She also gave us the lowdown on how RELIEVED she was to sport shorts and sneakers on the regular (comfiest costumes ever?!), her favorite premiere outfits, and how she and the rest of the cast always discuss their red carpet ensembles beforehand. Oh, and another thing: although Ashley seems like a great girl on Instagram and in other press interviews, she's even cooler and nicer in person. OK, even though a massive gift card to buy all the clothes for ourselves would be nice, right now we're actually talking about a fashion movie-meets-music video, starring the singer herself! While shooting the ads at The Saguaro Hotel in Palm Springs, Sky and the F21 crew also did a little multitasking, crafting a whole new music vid for her super gorgeous single "Lost In My Bedroom." Aptly titled Desert Disco, the sun-drenched clip is THE perfect mashup of the breezy, concert-inspired collection and Sky's catchy soundtrack. The last time we spotted Aubrey Plaza on a magazine cover, she was snuggling up to a cat on the front page of Bust. Now she's posing with another prop for the April/May issue of Complex, but instead of a cuddly animal the actress is double fisting two cans of silly string?! Yep, our favorite Parks and Rec star is showing her funny side yet again for the mag, dressed in a simple pink romper and adorned with some, um, festive accessories (if you can even call silly string that...?). She also shows her stuff inside the feature posing with a bear mask, banana peels, AND a Whoopie Cushion, all while still managing to squeeze in some impressive smize action. Hey Tyra, better watch your back!

Ugh, don't you sometimes, or maybe always, secretly wish you were a rock star? While we gave up on any dreams of actually winning Grammys or playing to sold out, screaming crowds years ago (*sigh*) we still sometimes get that pang of jealousy when we see one of our fave lady musicians doing something particularly fabulous. That's exactly how we felt when we saw that the awesome Ioanna Gika, front woman for Los Angeles shoegaze-pop outfit IO Echo and Jeremy Scott hologram kimono enthusiast, had taken on the task of filling Iggy Azaleas very big shoes as the face of House Of Holland eyewear. While Iggy's campaign was all about color, Ioanna's brings a little bit more atmosphere to the table, with the singer posing in a kind of 70's kitsch backdrop, her hair crimped into a big triangle that we're sure roller girl would approve of. Obviously she wears a kimono in the shoot, as well.
