The pop goddesses have finally answered my prayers, and have gifted us with the salacious superstar known as Brooke Candy. That's the name she was born with, you guys, which makes me want to see, then frame, BK's family photo albums right now. Anyway, Brooke is like, SUPER HARDCORE, and a breath of fresh, fearless fashion-y air, which I really appreciate. She's got the best braid game since Janet circa Poetic Justice, mixed with a little The Fifth Element realness (that opera-singing alien is an underrated style icon, PS). BK showcases her aforementioned amazing braid weave with her immaculate braid-whipping in Grimes' "Genesis" music vid, which y'all should already know/obsess about. And girl can RAP. See: Candy's very own vid for "Everybody Does" which involves geckos crawling on her hot pink lips and bleached brows. We also share a common hobby of going topless in public, and she’s very candid about her other gig as a stripper. WORK THAT POLE, HONEY. In other words, move over pseudo bad ass pop starlets, Brooke Candy is where it's at. I'm obsessed with her rapid-fire in-yo-face lyrics but they're borderline NSFW, so, instead of quoting them, I'll just leave y'all with Favorite Things: Brooke Candy edish. Oh, I need those platformed Adidas in a size 11 btw.

A still from Rihanna's "Stay" Video.
Photo: Island Def Jam/Vevo

There's been much ado made about how unbelievably beautiful Rihanna is. Having seen her in person myself, I can attest to the fact that nobody is exaggerating—Rihanna is insanely gorgeous. It seems to radiate out of her in that way that seems to be particular to the very, very famous, and it stops your mind a little bit. One of the main reasons for this, though, is that Rihanna doesn't need to rely on a lot of makeup pyrotechnics to make her look extraordinary—she's got everything she needs already. In her new video for "Stay," Rihanna goes sans makeup, proving to the entire world what we already knew, which is that any bells and whistles a makeup artist adds to that face are really just that. While going minimal makeup is hardly news, going NO makeup in HD is keeping things really real. HD cameras are not forgiving, ya'll. Rihanna still, of course, looks amazing, and now women all over the world know that she has pores. Can you believe that? RIHANNA HAS PORES?! *Slaps palm to forehead because society is sad* Her bare face isn't the only thing that's naked in the video though. Rihanna is in the bath throughout the clip, and you can get a good look at almost all of her shoes through water. A little scandalous, yes, but more beautiful than anything. The "Stay" video is stark, and beautiful, and as emotional as the song, which is one of our favorites off of Unapologetic. Although we love the epic "We Found Love" video, we have to say it's nice to see Rihanna harnessing the emotional weight of this song. Watch the full video after the jump!

Elizabeth Olsen, Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez

Photo: Getty Images

We interrupt our New York Fashion Week coverage for a very important message: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHLOE MORETZ! The teenage movie star (who can now officially drive, congrats!) turns the big 1-6 on February 10, but she celebrated early last night at a Sweet 16 bash in New York City. Thrown in conjunction by Teen Vogue and Aeropostale, the event was a stylish collision of ALL of Chloe's worlds. This is a girl who has MANY slashes to her day job as actress— she's the mag's new cover star and the brand ambassador for Aeropostale. Needless to say, everyone turned out to celebrate Chlo, including famous pals like Victoria Justice, Holland Roden, and Sarah Hyland. The birthday girl had the most enviable outfit of everyone, dressed in a powder blue Chanel frock under a cropped leather motorcycle jacket and accessorized with a bag by the French fashion house. Um, HOW many teenagers can say that they wore Chanel to their Sweet 16?! (Answer: not many).

Vanessa Hudgens, Victoria Justice and Ashlee Simpson at last night's Wildfox Couture show.
Photo: Getty Images

California label Wildfox Couture is a Young Hollywood wardrobe staple— stars like Vanessa Hudgens consider it their off-duty uniform— so when designer Kimberley Gordon decides to stage a runway show in downtown NYC, her famous fans follow. Proving that even (really cute, really comfy) t-shirts can still warrant a spot in Fashion Week, last night's The Great Gatsby- inspired presentation showcased Wildfox's comfy tops as well sequins, Americana shorts, and tops splashed with trademark Gatsby phrases like "It was just a dream," and "Daisy." While the models worked the goods (including a new collab with Michelle Siwy!) on the runway, attendees like Vanessa, Victoria Justice, and Ashlee Simpson rocked the collection off the catwalk. And all of this happened BEFORE New York band Chairlift ended the night with their Valentine's Day single, "I Belong In Your Arms."

Valentine's Day is great and all, but you know what we REALLY love? Cute clothes. Bonus points if they're actually affordable, and even better if they're from one of our favorite designers, Prabal Gurung. All three of these incredible things collided last night at the celebration of the New York CFDA winner's newest collab with Target, a huge dream date-inspired affair featuring food trucks, indoor rides, and a performance by Ne-Yo (which, PS, if you haven't witnessed editors and It girls getting down to R&B love songs, then you don't know what you're missing!). Clearly the fashion industry's love for the singer is mutual— Ne-Yo told us on the red carpet that he'd just returned from Paris Fashion Week. "I went to the Givenchy and Versace shows in Paris and loved both of them," he said. "And I gotta admit, when I met Donatella Versace for the first time, I got a little crush on her!" Actresses Elizabeth Olsen, Carey Mulligan, Analeigh Tipton, and campaign star Olivia Thirlby also turned out on the red carpet decked out in Prabal for Target, Elizabeth pairing her dress with an oversized blazer, Carey with a leather coat, and Analeigh with her mom's vintage army jacket. The America's Next Top Model contestant-turned- Warm Bodies star told us she borrows her mom's stuff all the time now that she realizes how cool it is. Aww!

Lizzy Caplan

Lizzy Caplan in Viva Vena's new fashion film
Photo: Via Matthew Frost Vimeo.

Just as the curtain of runway glamour opens on New York City and street style peacocking invades sidewalks, the internet has officially bestowed a lump of GOLD onto our laps! This virtual gem comes courtesy of Veva Cava, who are serving up a refreshing New York Fashion Week palette cleanser with their new campaign for Viva Vena. Starring our MTV Style crush Lizzy Caplan, this clever, hilarious, and totally good-humored parody of "serious" fashion films hits all the right notes, starting with the faux "Best Fashion Film Festival Ever" award at the beginning to her oh-so-trendy flower crown idly floating away at the end (~*symbolism*~). These vintage typewriters, ribbon dancing, and Lizzy's empty expressions might be hilarious, but you know what's NOT a joke? Viva Vena's really cute clothes, which debut later this month. For now, watch the video in all its tongue-in-cheek glory below and just TRY not to crack up...

MTV may have changed since its early days, but we're always looking out for the music. Here at MTV Style, we're continually looking for the places where music and fashion come together, and, lucky for us, it happens fairly often. One of the brands we can always count on to make the connection is Opening Ceremony, and this New York Fashion Week, designer Chloe Sevigny is upping the brand's usual music and fashion game even further than before by casting musicians in her Autumn Winter 2013 presentation. Taking place this Saturday, the clothes will be worn by the punk legends Kim Gordon and Ikue Mori, singer Lissy Trullie, Lizzi Bougatsos of I.U.D. and Gang Gang Dance, Bleached, and Light Asylum's Shannon Funchness. It's basically all of the coolest downtown ladies getting together and trying on clothes. But wait, that's not all. This isn't just a musicians-as-models scenario: the presentation will also feature performances from each of the artists, at least according to Women's Wear Daily.

Venus X.
Photo: Sam Bayliss

*Carrie Bradshaw voice* In New York City, calling yourself a DJ is like calling that Canal Street pleather mess on many a shoulder an authentic Alex Wang bag. You may sort of maybe look the part with those sequined headphones under that Kenzo snap-back, but when the curtain opens and the iTunes playlist fades, all will be revealed. *End Carrie Bradshaw voice* Howevs, if you dig a little deeper, and if you nab the lucky golden ticket invite to New York's best kept secret, aka GHE20G0TH1K, then you've definitely experienced runny mascara/body glitter on the steamy vodka-drenched dance floor courtesy of DJ Venus X and her insane bangers. I did just that (and some pelvic thrusts…and on stage…) last Friday evening at Santo's Party House, which is basically a sorority/frat house, but in Chinatown and with a sea of, you know, ghetto-meets-gothic-clad ravers you'll probs see racing in their Timbs to Opening Ceremony for their new 90's DKNY collab/in a Solange music vid/front-row next week at the Hood By Air NYFW show. In short, duh, there's nothing quite like GHE20G0TH1K and its leading lady/reigning downtown princess, Venus X. She’s the real deal, you guys. Oh, and don't even get me started on her style game. Remembs the trendsetter's fluorescent green hair?! SO GOOD. Anyway, in today's favorite things, Miss Venus X spills a slew of sartorial secrets, like her go-to wallet-friendly shopping sprees at Goodwill in Harlem, where she was born-and-raised, and the beauty trick behind getting that perfected sassy chola lewk.

Miley Cyrus Tattoo

Miley Cyrus Shows Off Her New Tattoo.
Photo: @MileyCyrus' Twitter

We're totally squeamish about tattoos, but Miley Cyrus is one young celeb who clearly has no fear of either the tattoo gun or of having something on her body forever. Her most recent ink, until now, (that we know of) is a matching arm tattoo with fiancee Liam Hemsworth. That was not her first, though. By our count, Miley's newest ink is her SIXTEENTH tattoo! The new art, which is on the back of her upper arm just above the elbow, is a pair of crossed arrows, and was given to her by Kat Von D. The tattoo artist has done pieces for celebs for years, including fellow fan of the tatt Demi Lovato, who got her flying bird piece done with Kat not too long ago.
