Have you HEARD? Selena Gomez is performing at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 14! Not only will this mark Sel's first musical performance in honor of the Golden Popcorn, it'll also be the first televised performance of her new forthcoming single, "Come & Get It," the debut track from Miss Gomez's new album, set to be released this summer. After so many months of following Selena (the actress) making the press rounds for Spring Breakers, seeing her get back into the role of Selena (the singer) is guaranteed to be a really fun change of pace. Even if it might get a little confusing. Sel has said several times that she has a kind of split style personality, opting for one kind of look when she does film and a different look when she does music. So then what happens when she performs music at an awards show for FILMS?!?? We'll see for ourselves come April 14, but until then, we're speculating based on some trends we've noticed from her history of performance ensembles.

SHOW-STOPPING CURTAIN SKIRTS

Selena Gomez

What will Selena Gomez wear for her 2013 MTV Movie Awards performance?

We're not 100% positive that "curtain skirts" is the scientific name for this look, but for the better part of 2012, Selena was almost always wearing some iteration of this silhouette on stage. The number is a teeny tiny base outfit (usually extreme hot pants or a very dangerous mini) with a chiffon-type floor-length skirt wrapped about 3/4 of the way around, leaving a kind of window for Selena's spec-TAC-ular legs. It's a kind of best-of-both-worlds outfit that provides all the gam-glorifying of a bodysuit and all the drama of an ethereal gown.

Beyonce, Iggy Azalea, and Ellie Goulding will be performing for Chime For Change in London.

Get ready for the best dressed show of the summer, AND it's for a good cause. Beyonce, Iggy Azalea, Florence And The Machine, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora and more will be getting together in London on June 1st to present The Sound of Change Live, a concert to benefit the Chime for Change Initiative, funded by Gucci. Beyonce, who is the initiative's spokesperson, will also serve as the concert's creative director, working both with the artists who will be playing the show and with the organization as a whole. In a statement made to Vogue, Beyonce described the mission of the concert, saying, "our goal is to call for change for girls and women in the loudest voice possible," adding, "I am excited for us to come together on June 1 to bring the issues of education, health and justice for girls and women to the world stage." The best part, Gucci helping with the cost of the production, so all ticket sales will benefit charities helping women.

Thanks to her soulful breakout singles like "Wildest Moments" and "Running," by now everyone should be very well acquainted with the vocal powerhouse that is Jessie Ware (if not, get schooled here!). But something else that you should know about our latest Artist To Watch is that the London singer has an elegant style that perfectly complements her honey-smooth sound, and this is why we're naming her our newest Rising Style Star.

Proving that you don't always have to OD on glitter or rock rainbow wigs to necessarily make a statement, Jessie sticks to low-key red carpet staples with a quiet power. One consistent thread running through many of her outfits over the past year is not-so-basic black, like that effortlessly cool crop top number by Miu Miu she sported to this year's BRIT Awards. The bedazzled sleeves lend the outfit a touch of opulence, the flash of midriff gives it edge, and the long skirt keeps the look from swaying too far into belly dancer territory. Something else we've noticed: the 27-year-old tends to choose long, ankle-to-floor-skimming silhouettes, like the white floral embellished dress she wore to the BRIT Awards nominations and the sophisticated cut-out gown she rocked at the Mercury Prize Awards. There's no denying that Jessie has impressively mastered the formal fash thing in record time, but when she's NOT collecting prizes left and right (which is becoming rarer and rarer these days), chances are the singer has slipped into her off-duty uniform of tailored pants and classic blouses.

Sure, you can hang out backstage at the Chanel show all you want (in our dreams!) but how do you know you're REALLY tight with Mr. Karl Lagerfeld? Well, if you happen to Rita Ora, that would mean winning bragging rights to a dress designed by the Kaiser himself! NBD, right? Rita performed at the suuuuuuper fancy Bal De La Rose Du Rocher event in Monte-Carlo this weekend, decked out in a burlesque-inspired dress custom-made by the Chanel designer and making a serious statement at the sold-out event. She tweeted an image of the sketch a couple of days ago, saying "Tonight's attire. Designed by Karl Lagerfeld called the The Ora. Fashion it does the craziest things sometimes. #wow #Chanel #fukwatevaitisyourdoing Hehehe #werowdy." Rita, we hope you've saved the sketches in a gold-plated frame for all of posterity, because THIS.IS.MAJOR. Also, the fact that Karl dubbed the dress "The Ora"?! Here's another hashtag for ya... #Jealous.

Miley's striped Chanel jumpsuit.
Photo: Getty

Two words: Formal. Onesie. Ok so maybe red carpet jumpsuits are nothing groundbreaking, but just last week we were lamenting the coming of warm weather, and with it, and end to Miley Cyrus' animal onesie season, but if her appearance at an event for The Ryan Seacrest Foundation on Friday is any indication, Miley's love for one piece ensembles will not wane with the coming spring. Channeling Donna Summer, Miley took to the red carpet in a black and white striped, strapless Chanel jumpsuit. This look is quintessential Miley, not only showcasing her love for single piece garments, but also showing off one of her favorite patterns—thick, vertical, black and white stripes. Miley has been spotted in the silhouette elongating look in both dress and pant form, and she's right on trend. We've been chatting about black and white stripes since the fall, when Marc Jacobs showed them on his spring 2013 runway, and we think we're going to be seeing monochrome in many forms in the coming months, vertical stripes in particular.

Rita Ora, Hayley Williams, Vanessa Hudgens, Whitney Port

Photo: Getty Images/Paper Magazine

All praise be to Rita Ora, Hayley Williams, Vanessa Hudgens and circa 2011 Whitney Port. This raver pigtail bun steez just might be the answer to all my summer hair woes. Maybe I'm too impatient. Maybe I'm not tonsorially dexterous. Maybe it's just my own bad luck, but MAN, trying to style my hair in the summer is a virtually impossible feat. Back me up if you feel me. You're hot, you sweat at the sight of a curling/flat iron, you're running around a bunch because your body's all hopped up on the vitamin D you were missing by hibernating all winter, and your hair. is. a. mess. Enter Raver Pigtail Buns™.

Beyonce H&M

Holy mother of announcements. THE RUMORS WERE TRUE. Beyonce really was shooting a campaign for Swedish retail juggernaut H&M in the Bahamas earlier this year, and boyoyoyoy, does she look beautiful! Just in time for the onslaught of spring (come on, Mother Nature—New York is ready for it...) AND for the kick-off of her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour come April 15, H&M will soon begin rolling out commercials, print ads, and outdoor billboards for the fashion house's summer campaign starring "Beyonce as Mrs. Carter in H&M."

Miley Cyrus Onesie

Miley Cyrus chillin' in a horse onesie.
Photo: Via @MileyCyrus' Twitter

We know today is the first day of spring and everything, but to be TOTALLY honest we're kind of sad about it. The warmer weather means that Miley Cyrus may stop wearing those oh-so-cozy animal onesie pajamas she's been so fond of lately (in mid-July these bad boys would be a total sweatfest), and right now we're relishing in every soon-to-be-extinct Miley PJ adventure, which, most recently, involves a pony (!!!). Last night she tweeted a picture of herself in a super cute, pink and gray horse onesie complete with a bright blue mane. The caption read, "It's a onezie PARTY (of one)," followed by another tweet that stated, "When you don't know what to wear.... Wear a onezie. #killtwobirdswithoneonezie" And, as it turns out, Miley actually lives by her fashion advice! You might remember Ms. Cyrus sporting leopard footie pajamas from December, which she TOTALLY took to the next level by getting a mini version for her dog to match. Peep it after the jump!

Yoko Ono

In the words of John Lennon, "Ooooooh Yoko." Venerated, and, some would say, notorious conceptual artist Yoko Ono is up to her usual tricks once again, unleashing her signature evocative, intellectual, and frankly pretty wacky artistic vision unto the world with her partners-in-crime-as-of-late, Opening Ceremony. To complement her err, handsy menswear collection Yoko made a video tutorial providing a series of "Make-Up Tips For Men," which include, but are not limited to, "When you see a rainbow in the sky./Breathe it in/And make your room into a rainbow room." Listen up, boys.

Beyonce

Beyonce on the cover of "Shape" magazine.
Photo: Shape/Beyonce's Website

Beyonce's Shape magazine cover has been around for over 24 hours now (which is an instant in real time but an ETERNITY in Internet time), but we were too busy splashing around in the release of brand-spanking new Bey music "Bow Down/I Been On" that we had to queue up our King Bey news. We're only human, guys—we can only fully absorb one thing at a time. Not only is Mrs. Carter serving summer-ready beach-bod in color-blocked swimwear (with sleeves!), she is WERQUING the no-makeup makeup look and full, windswept curls. She looks fresh, fit, and totally natural, and having endured a little more March snow in NYC last night (SERIOUSLY, WEATHER??), we're coveting all of the things about this photo and the rest of the cover shoot which follows in the mag's inside pages. Well, almost all of the things. There's just one aspect of this look that we have to wait a beat for: Beyonce's 2013 dangly belly ring.
