Katy Perry at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

When Katy Perry and the Grammys come together, we expect jaw-droppingly amazing results. So we've been anxiously waiting all evening to see just what the headlining nominee would be wearing when she stepped onto the edgiest red carpet of awards season. Welp, we are proud to report that Katy did NOT let us down this year, wowing the crowds with her brilliant white Valentino gown embroidered with musical notes from the waist down.
You may remember this unique piece from Valentino's Spring 2014 collection, when it debuted three days ago at Paris Couture Week. THREE DAYS, people! Something tells us Katy has a personal stylist with some pretty sweet connections. The classic-meets-quirky attitude of the dress had us smiling when we first saw it, but we love it infinitely more on this most musical of nights.

The Grammys have always been a place of reinvention where artists test out new looks, but some of the best ones have been decidedly non-bold—the makeunders. Recall Rihanna’s pin-up moment last year, with her soft waves and natural makeup, which really let her siren-red Alaïa gown shine. Well, Miley has taken a page out of Rih’s lookbook and emerged with an über-femme, platinum, side-swept pixie look.
Demi Lovato's pink 'do.
Photo: Demi Lovato's Twitter
Sooo, Demi Lovato is officially our rainbow hair idol. She had presented herself as a major contender with her recent blue 'do, but just clinched the title with her Neon Lights Tour pink hue, which she debuted on Twitter. The blue hair had a good run, with appearances in her "Neon Lights" video, on a magazine cover, and throughout a season of X Factor, but we're still sad to see it go. We will, however, welcome this pink hair with open arms! Walk your way into Demi's life (and ours), bb!
At this point, Demi is such an expert at having bright hair that she (publicly) skips the initial, low-key introductory phase and heads straight to the bold lipstick and accessory stage. To be fair, though, she has dabbled with pink hair before so it's a natural for her not to hesitate and debut the look in a big way. I mean, almost-black lipstick and a porkpie hat in the first shot of your new hair? You're giving the people a lot to talk about, Demi! Namely, you're giving us serious Boy George vibes, and we like it.
Lupita Nyong'o on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.'

In the midst of her unstoppable red carpet tour de force, Lupita Nyong'o has been making an equally impressive mark off the step-and-repeat. Recently, she stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to dish about her Oscar-nominated role in 12 Years a Slave. Annnd we had to stop ourselves from drooling.
Selena Gomez wearing a bindi.

Sooo, I bet Selena Gomez is having a pretty weird day? She's probably mentally preparing herself for the barrage of Bieber-related questions she'll be asked for the next three to four months. If it's any consolation, even through all that, she's 100% the most stylish person I've ever seen at a gas station. Like, usually when I need to fill up/grab snacks, I only see basketball shorts and sweatshirts (fine, it's when I look in the gas station bathroom mirror), but Selly really has a great look going on here. Let's discuss.
First of all, great haircut, Sel! We know she'd been toying with the idea of cutting her hair into a bob, but this shoulder-length 'do is really good, too. Then there's her nude bodysuit, which she's accessorized with two tasseled Kendra Scott necklaces. Very glamorous graduation chic, IMHO. The most crucial part of her on-point look, though, is the return of her bindi.
Emma's new 'do.

Hey, girl, HEY. While most stylists might advise you against a drastic 'do before a big event, Emma Roberts' stunning asymmetrical bob pretty much stole the show—in the best way possible—at Elle's Women in Television Celebration last night. It reminds me of the time my stylist/grandmother begged me not to shave off my bangs in the shower before the first day of sixth grade. I did it anyway, obviously, and it debuted to less than glowing reviews. Thankfully, Emma's hair faired WAY better. In the words of Ron Burgundy, "I mean, that thing's good. I wanna be friends with it."
Lady Gaga in 'Gagavision no. 45.'

If you're a longtime Little Monster, you'll remember the Gagavision videos Lady Gaga released weekly during 2008 and 2009. In 2011, after the release of Born This Way, Gaga resurrected the series for four episodes. And now, it's back yet again. Early this morning, Gaga dropped "Gagavision no. 45," which ~sorta~ documents her big weekend in Paris. I say sorta because "Mambo Italiano" is playing over the video and you can barely hear one word that is uttered. Whatever, though, right? Who cares about WORDS with there is #FASHUN to look at.
The first shot of the Gaga-edited video is Mother Monster deplaning a private jet, champagne bottle in hand, decked out in what I assume is Versace. The sheer dress is pretty similar to one Gaga wore in her Versace ad and, TBH, it'd be pretty weird to wear a different designer for a "Paris Atelier Versace Couture Weekend." Plus, those silver Medusa heads are a dead giveaway.
Lena Dunham practice for 'Vogue.'
So, you've landed your first Vogue cover. Who you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS! Wait, that's not right. If you're Lena Dunham, you call Hamish Bowles, the international editor-at-large for the magazine, of course. And what do you wear when Bowles arrives? Perhaps your white, collarless shirt from Fred Segal? After all, it IS your most capable-looking outfit. JK, scratch that, too. If you're Lena Dunham, you wear your silky white pajamas with piped black trim. Because it's about comfort, not capability. Save the stiff shirts for the actual shoot, amirite?
Taylor Swift gets punny.

Long-reigning queen of the cat ladies Taylor Swift has outdone herself. For those of you who can't read her shirt, it says "The Great Catsby" in all-caps script. Above the writing are two cats wearing accessories: one in a daisy-chain necklace (a little too on the nose, IMHO) and the other in a bow tie. They are waving. Just two cool cats (the puns don't end!), ready to go to a party at Leo's house. OF COURSE, Taylor Swift owns this sweatshirt! Good news: You can, too!
The not-so-many hairstyles of Ariana Grande.

Most pop stars work hard to cultivate a style all their own. For Lady Gaga, it's wigs and over-the-top #ARTPOP. For Miley Cyrus, it's a platinum pixie cut and pantless leotards. And for tiny diva Ariana Grande, it's long waves, half-up/half-down, and flouncy A-line skirts. No matter the occasion, be it a performance, a magazine cover, or an Instagram selfie, Grande has pretty much worn her hair the same way since she started topping the charts last year. "So what?" you say. "Who cares?" Well, some people, apparently. Which is why the singer has finally decided to get something off her chest, er, scalp.
