As you may have heard from the tidal wave of Smiler screams sweeping the nation, Miley Cyrus has teamed up with the likes of us (MTV) for yet another memorable performance moment. (Do we really need to remind you of the last one we brought you?) The "Wrecking Ball" singer is taking the stage next week for a very special, very stripped-down Miley Cyrus: MTV Unplugged, and as we should all know by now, she could do and wear ANYTHING. I mean, look at this promotional photo! Fake hillbilly teeth, a short baby-pink wig, and silver star pasties? Who knows where this is going! In celebration of the Unplugged wardrobe to come, we're looking back at some of our favorite Miley performance looks from the past year. LEGGO!

Obviously OBVIOUSLY, we have to kick this off with her periwinkle blue Markus Lupfer cat-print ensemble from the 2013 American Music Awards. Paired with a lip-synching orange tabby backdrop and massive lucite accessories, this high-cut separates look was (and still is) internet gold.

OK, so the fact that Kerry Washington is a flawless angel isn't exactly news. But you guys... She just took things to a new level. A level we formerly thought could never be reached. In the midst of her second trimester, the Scandal star hit the 2014 SAG Awards red carpet in a custom Prada high-waisted skirt and (wait for it) CROP TOP. Oh, AND the crop top also was completely open in the back. Can everyone join us while we all bow down to Miss Olivia Pope right now? It takes serious guts to bare your belly, even WITHOUT a bun in the oven.
We have a new fashion consultant in our midst, y'all. No, you don't have to meet her IRL to get her opinion on your look. She'll come to you through the computer and you're probably already familiar with her personal style.
OK, fine. You read the headline. IT'S RIHANNA! RIHplies, my new favorite Tumblr of all time, keeps track of every Instagram comment @badgalriri has offered up to individual fans, fan accounts, critics, and fellow famous peeps. A lot of Rih's replies revolve around #FASHUN, which makes sense since she has (a) designed her own line of clothing, (b) produced and sat on the panel of Styled to Rock, and (c) has on-point personal style. So, without further ado, may I introduce to you: Rihanna, fashion consultant.
SHE'LL OFFER ADVICE...
She has life experience and is happy to weigh in if you're having a hard time deciding what to wear.
Miley Cyrus wearing The Blonds on New Year's Eve.

We already heard that The Blonds would be designing some of the outfits for Miley Cyrus on her Bangerz Tour, but, the "Wrecking Ball" singer just revealed they're not the only ones. Yep, Miles has recruited the likes of Jeremy Scott and Marc Jacobs to outfit her on tour. Being tight with designers certainly has its perks, eh?
Beyonce + glitter explosions + a hair-flip to beat all hair-flips. No, that's not JUST the afternoon we're having, that's a very brief synopsis of a new video making the internet rounds. A new video which maaay be the first commercial for Bey's newest fragrance, Rise. As we sit here playing the 30-second clip on a constant loop, we can only wish and hope that the gilded promo is the real deal.
The commercial begins with a dramatic chord synched up with a slow-motion eye flicker. And then. We are graced with our first glitter explosion. While we can't be 100% sure, we're guessing this is what the creation of the universe (and/or Beyonce) must have looked like.
Beyonce in head-to-toe Versace.

If you haven't been keeping up with Beyonce's photo-posting marathon over the past few days, what have you been doing? There are 24 hours in a day. You can dedicate at least five of them to looking through every picture Bey shares. In case you have other things going on, we'll fill you in: Beyonce has been wearing a lot of Versace. Like, she probably should've been given a verse in Migos' "Versace" (under her rap alter ego, Third Ward Trill) because she would have a lot of material.
To hang out with Jay in an elevator, Bey wore a printed pink silk Versace shirt and a pair of leggings from the M.I.A.'s Versus Versace collab. While the shirt is sold out (it was a cool $638 anyway), the green-and-pink floral-print leggings are still available! You may not be able to wear Versace on Versace exactly like Bey, but you CAN put those bad boys on and pose in any elevator you can find.
Lorde on the covering of 'Rolling Stone.'
Photo: Rolling Stone
In case you couldn't tell, this is Lorde on the cover of Rolling Stone. With Lorde's glorious mane covering five of the letters from the magazine's name, it could easily pass as "Roll One," which would be, like, a magazine about good bread or something, IDK. It's definitely Rolling Stone, though, because Lorde is very, very excited about it. She's given the announcement an all-caps tweet, so you know she's excited. She doesn't throw caps around frequently.
This isn't Lorde's first magazine cover, but it is the first of 2014 and also—hello—Rolling Stone is huge. The singer is, as usual, channeling "goth vibes" on the cover, with her dark plum lips and familiar all-black uniform.
Lily Allen on the set of her new video for "Air Balloon."

After a too-long hiatus (three years, to be exact), Lily Allen is back. From what I understand, she was busy doing things, like, having kids and getting married, or whatever. Basically, she's a certified adult now, but that doesn't mean she's lost her playful charm. Allen kicked off her comeback in November, with a new single AND a new video for "Hard Out Here," which featured a slew of dirty dancers on a soundstage, droppin' it like it's hot in barely-there outfits made of leather and mesh. According to a few pics Allen recently posted on Instagram, the location for her next video will be a bit more, um, scenic. (Don't worry, though. There will still be mesh. IRIDESCENT mesh.)
Lena Dunham on the cover of 'Vogue.'
Look who landed her first Vogue cover: Lena Dunham! I specify her first cover because Vogue does so as well in the title of the article, which, I assume, means Anna Wintour & Co. are planning for more in the future. Looks like Anna's appearance at the Girls premiere last week wasn't just to show off her perfectly appropriate jacket.
The February cover features Lena looking more buttoned-up (literally) than we're used to seeing her in a red polka-dot shirt. She's pulling at her collar as if she's nervous, but, girl, we've all seen your show. You know, Girls? The show you created, write, produce, direct, and star in. Being photographed by Annie Leibovitz must be less nerve-wrecking than all that, right?
