Happy Sunday, y'all! You know it's a good weekend when you can cap it off snuggling up at home for hours upon hours of awards show antics. Tonight, we're settling in for a landslide of summer red carpet steez and performance outfits as the 2013 Billboard Music Awards get underway. The show itself doesn't start until 8 p.m. EST, but the ~~red~~ blue carpet is already heating up as our girl Selena Gomez has just hit the step-and-repeat. It's an earlier-than-usual entrance for Selly, but that's because she's also performing tonight.

Demi Lovato Commemorates Album Release With 'Warrior' Tattoo

Remember how Demi Lovato told us on "Live From MTV" her only form of rebellion was tattoos and hair color? Welp, she covered the tonsorial portion last week with her new blonde dye job, and NOW, she's racked up another tatt. Scrawled on the back of her left shoulder, the ink reads, "now I'm a warrior"—a lyric from "Warrior," the last track of the record. Demi tweeted a picture of her fresh body art with the caption, "Thanks @BangBang! Album release day!!! #DEMI." YUP, the ink is in celebration of her new album, DEMI. AWWwwww!

Happy 47th Birthday Janet Jackson! To consecrate this hallowed occasion, MTV Style commemorates the icon's most legendary style moments.*

As a youngin, Janet Jackson was just the cute baby sister of her superstar brother crew, and her child-style was tethered to their garish-ass '70s costumes. Her showbiz debut was at the age of seven on the stage of the MGM in Vegas, and by nine she was performing on the CBS variety show The Jacksons, dressed in gossamer pants and lamé vests over turtlenecks, cutesy ensembles chosen specifically to match her bros' performative bell bottoms. God bless, but GOOD GOD. Soon enough, she ended up as Penny on Good Times and got to bust loose in clothes that didn't make her look like a tiny genie fresh out the bottle, wearing normal-kid flared '70s collars and dy-no-mite wool plaids and, on one occasion, a ruffle sleeved overall that looks like it inspired the entire Free People line. She was, for a time, America's little sis, and America dressed her like it.

Miley Cyrus Proves The 'Turband' Is Spring's It Accessory

Anyone who's been following Miley Cyrus gets it. This is a girl who ALWAYS has her foot firmly planted at least six steps ahead of the pack, trend-wise. Remember her Beetlejuice stripes obsession in pants, dress, and jumpsuit form?! It was only a matter of time before everyone else followed suit. Or what about how committed she was to the Met Gala's punk theme in fishnet Marc Jacobs? And we can't ever forget the fact Miley got a head start on fellow stars like Rihanna and Lena Dunhum with her jawdropping pixie cut almost a year ago. While Miley has flaunted about every incarnation imaginable of the short style since then— slicked, side-parted, ski jump, straight up— now she's incorporated accessories into the mix. The singer tweeted an image of herself posing in the studio yesterday decked out in a lime green blouse, "Doll" nameplate necklace, white shades, and a leopard turband (yep, that's the official name). With a knot in front and a skinny, stretchy fabric, this turban-headband hybrid just miiiight be our new hair secret weapon. Emma Watson Puts Our Airport Style Game To Shame Upon Arrival In Cannes

Dear Emma Watson, how are you so fly? The Bling Ring star took to the skies (see what we did there?) earlier this week, en route to the Cannes Film Festival, in what we will unequivocally say is the best travel look we have ever seen. Get out your pen and paper, guys, because this is some serious learning time. Now, I don't know about you, but our airport steelo goes a little something like this: leggings, thick socks, t-shirt, the biggest flannel we can find, and whatever cumbersome boots we're bringing on our trip, preferably with all of the laces. It's not a cute look for sleeping in, let alone wearing out in public, but you know what, it works? Emma on the other hand? Her travel style includes one of the most flattering white dresses we have ever seen on a human being ever, dark wayfarers, some easy to remove but still cool ankle boots, and an incredible amount of glamorous confidence. She just screams movie star, right?

Demi Lovato Reveals Reason Behind New Blonde Hair And More On 'Live From MTV'

BRB guys. We're just STILL having a heart attack (get it?) from Demi Lovato gracing our offices with her radiant presence yesterday.The golden-throated pop star stopped by our Times Square headquarters less than 24 hours ago to chat LIVE with MTV News' Christina Garibaldi and a few lucky Lovatics in celebration of the official release of her brand new album DEMI. Along with talking about her eponymously titled record, Miss Lovato played a few DEMI themed games, including one with a similar idea as Pictionary that went hilariously awry. Apparently, our girl D, like us, has a pretty lewd sense of humor, but it's her ability to balance that with looking totally poised and professional that makes us love her so much.

Rihanna Debuts Extra Light Blonde Hair!

Whew, anyone else feeling tired?! It's only Wednesday, and it's already been a whirlwind week in Rihanna-land, between her "#CCcertified" Kaiser tee, her new River Island sneak peek video and then, less than 24 hours ago, the campaign itself. Not to mention, those photos that surfaced yesterday of the singer rocking a platinum bob! Although the 'do later turned out to be a wig, that's not the only hair change RiRi has up her sleeve these days. Last night, she sent L.A. paparazzi into a frenzy with her brand new long, glossy, blonde weave. With a reverse ombré hue and Barbie-worthy waves, let's just cut to the chase and say we're officially obsessed.

OH, the age-old "girl-cute" vs "boy-cute" debate. Especially among the more fashionably inclined, there's often a disconnect between what ladies and their friends think is super cute and what the boys that date them are into for their ladies. Whether you're a staunch follower of The Man Repeller herself, Leandra Medine, or more of a girly girl, you've surely been party to an "are overalls fun or fugly" convo or two. This makes getting ready for dates (be they first or otherwise) REALLY hard! Nicole Richie understands, and addresses this difficult, serious topic in her new episode of #CandidlyNicole. You want to look cool, but you don't want to look, you know, like an art piece or anything #balance. Also, harem pants. Don't do it. Nicole actually suggests waiting until a man is "legally bound" to you before you break out those bad boys, but we have to say, we think it's important that you show your partner your true colors before then because: honesty. ANYWAY, Nicole's friend, film critic and Extra host Ben Lyons is brought in as dude consult to help ladyfriend and fellow comedienne (who you may remember as Marissa Cooper's enemy Heather from The O.C.) Solange Does Color Blocking Right For 'Complex'

It doesn't matter whether she's rocking brick print suits in her music video for "Losing You" or breathing new life into tired festival fashion at SXSW, Solange Knowles looks good in pretty much everything. Seriously, though, has this girl EVER had a bad outfit? *crickets* Yeah, that's what we thought. So given her fashion cred, it should come as a surprise to pretty much nobody that the über-talented younger Knowles sister has landed herself yet another magazine cover, this time for Complex. The publication's self-proclaimed "sexy but classy cover shoot" shows Solange sporting her signature red-orange lipstick and gazing straight up against the bold blue background. The minimalist profile shot is compelling enough on its own, but flip inside the issue and it gets even better, like Solange lounging upon plastic-covered chairs in colorblocked separates.
