Kigu Animal Tails

Listen, guys. We're no strangers to cosplay here at MTV Style, and the discussion we're about to open on these Kigu animal tails should in NO way be considered a Judgey McMeanieFace finger pointed at the portmanteau of costumes and role-play. In truth, we LUHHHH it and find it fascinating. We merely want to alert you, the inquisitive public readership of this here style community, to the fact that these exist. And not just in the dinosaur and fox iterations you see above. Hook yourself up with a bushy squirrel tail, an S-curve lemur look, or the slightly more subtle lion steez, depending on whatever you fancy most. The question is: would you want to?

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus this week in Philadelphia.
Photo: Splash News

Between recording her new "adult-sounding" album, going blonde(er), and sporting some new ink, Miley Cyrus has been all about trying new things lately. Proving her adventurous streak isn't quite over yet, this week she took one of this season's most divisive trends- overalls- for a spin in real life. Designers such as Rachel Comey, Chloe, and Altuzarra showed dungarees on the Spring 2012 runways, and the onesie has already invaded fast fashion retailers like Forever21. But instead of sticking with the original farm-inspired silhouette, Miley went retro with a denim jumpsuit from Anthropologie.

Nope, that's not a typo. This here is a glistening set of GRASS knuckles brought to you, world, by Icelandic design company HAF by Hafsteinn Juliusson. The four-finger ring is part of HAF's Growing Jewelry collection which features two styles of single-finger rings, two multi-finger rings (including the above knuckles in question), and two necklaces. HAF explains that the aim of Growing Jewelry is to "redefine modern values" via their "clash of jewelry and gardening couture and organism." Basically, they think people, especially city-dwellers, should be closer to nature "as nature [is] the presupposition of life."

Air Yeezy 2

The Wil Fry limited Yeezy 2 T-shirt.
Photo: Via eBay

Just when we thought the hype surrounding Kanye West's Nike Air Yeezy 2 sneakers was beginning to dwindle, graphic designer Wil Fry brought the term "limited edition" to a WHOLE new level. He released a graphic tee (and we mean that literally—he produced one T-shirt and one T-shirt only) with the sought-after shoes printed across the front and back, which costs—get this—$90,300. YOWCH. Steep price for some Yeezy 2 paraphernalia, eh? Well, not exactly! This is the same price a pair of actual Yeezy 2s closed for on eBay back in June, which makes us think there's a much LARGER artistic statement trying to be made here. *COUGH*The amount of money people are willing to drop on limited-edition anything*COUGH*

We're getting hungry just looking at it.
Photo: Twelvhttp://twelvmag.com/media/newsletters/gummybeardress.html Magazine

While edible clothing is typically reserved for gag gifts and Lady Gaga, we'll always pounce on a good perishable frock. Although the meat dress will forever be the end all be all of food fashion, we literally gasped when we saw this Alexander McQueen-inspired gown, wait for it, made entirely out of gummy bears. We also, of course, thought of Katy Perry, who rocked the sweet treats on her knuckles, wearing the ROMEiNGPANDA 3 Finger Multi-Colored Ring while performing awhile back, and who would look right at home in this flowing, rainbow creation. While we usually get caught up in the practicalities of things like this, asking such questions as, didn't Gaga's meat dress smell weird and what happens to the gummy bears if it rains, we were distracted in this case, by the fact that it took 50,000 bears to build the dress, which designers Hissa Igarashi and Sayuri Marakumi created just for the inaugural print issue of Twelv Magazine.

Lana Del Rey and her bouffant performing at the Eurokeenes Festival.
Photo: Getty

The great Dolly Parton once said, "the higher the hair, the closer to god." Well, we don't know about that, but we do know that one miss Lana Del Rey has been rockin' some heaven-scraping locks as of late. Could Lana be testing out Dolly's theory? If she is, she doesn't seem to think it's working too well, or else we don't think she would be pushing her 'do to ever more gravity defying heights. Initially this was a print mag only look, with Lana rocking the 60's 'do on the cover of Vogue Japan, and even earlier in the internation edition of Interview.

Most recently spotted playing the Eurokeennes Music Festival on July 1st in Belfort, France, Lana's bouffant appears to be in fine shape, high as ever and supported by a sturdy looking white headband. Could that headband also double as a bump-it? WE don't think so-we think this bouffant is 100% teased goodness. Although we find the ever growing height to be a bit of a head-scratcher, Lana's 'do is entirely fitting with her retro-goddess steeze as of late.

'Muscleman Marc' doll.
Photo: Courtesy of Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs has already earned his fair share of bragging rights, what with a CFDA "Lifetime Achievement Award" to his name, a fan base that reads like a Who's Who of Hollywood's A-List, and a fashion empire of crazy-cute clothing (NBD). Oh, and here's one more honor to add to his overstuffed resume- Jacobs goes down in history as the first designer ever to be immortalized in an episode of South Park. Random? Yes. Totally awesome? Absolutely, and the love between the designer and the series is clearly mutual. Jacobs first incorporated Cartman, Randy Marsh, and Butters into his collection of "Protect Yourself" tees back in February, and now he's back for round 2 of TV merch. We first spotted the hilariously amazing 'Muscle Marc' doll with Cartman in the "1%" episode, and....drum roll, please...finally we can score it for ourselves.

Olsen Twins The Row Fur Bag

Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen at the CFDA Fashion Awards on June 4 and their bag from The Row.
Photo: WireImage

Listen, we're well aware Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen KNOW style. They won the highly-acclaimed Womenswear Designer of the Year Award at the CFDAs, which currently puts them at the top of the 2012 fashion roster. But esteemed accolades aside, we need to get real for a second and just say this—they're selling a bag from The Row's pre-fall 2012 collection for nearly $17,000. YEAH. This backpack (that's right! You can tote this sweatfest on your back all summer long!) is a collection of fur patches sewn together into one giant, mismatched fuzzball. Unlike the previous $40,000 The Row crocodile bag from one reptile, which is (oddly) more expensive but equally anger-inducing, this backpack is made from the fur of at least three different animals. Yipes. The thing is, if you're PETA there's obvious reasons to be mad (and they certainly are! #trollsens), but what if you're just a plain ol' fashion person that is looking at this for what it really is—a really, really expensive bag.

Chocolate Scented iPhone Case

We wonder, is it milk chocolate, or dark chocolate?
Photo: Thinkgeek

Remember life before cell phones? Probably not, huh? Well, we do, and it was really different. You couldn't have confusing text message interactions with your crush, your mom couldn't call you whenever she wanted, you actually had to print out directions in advance or, gasp, carry a map. It was madness. We even had a beeper for awhile. CRAZY. But now we have iPhones, Blackberries, Google Map, gizmos and gadgets aplenty, you know the drill, and as a result, we also have to make choices about the accessories that surround them. A knuckleduster iPhone case works for Rihanna, but is it right for you? Maybe you're further towards ten on the cuteness spectrum. Enter the Chocolate Scented iPhone 4 Case. Making things scented it like the final frontier of novelty items, so of course this exists, but, would you really want your phone, and by proxy your bag or pocket, to smell like candy all the time?
