The biggest thing to happen to cinema OF ALL TIME (Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2, natch) is TONIGHT (midnight, y'all!), so to keep up to snuff with the Wizarding World, MTV Style counts down which Harry Potter characters' closets we'd most like to raid.

So far, we got psyched on Fleur Delacour, the green goodness of Rita Skeeter, and then allowed ourselves to practice the dark arts with Bellatrix Lestrange. And then there were two, so Hermione Granger lent some inspiration. But our most covetable wizarding closet belongs to the mistress of the eclectic and lighthearted—the quirky and cool Luna Lovegood (and her human counterpart, Evanna Lynch).

So far, we got psyched on Fleur Delacour, the green goodness of Rita Skeeter, and then allowed ourselves to practice the dark arts with Bellatrix Lestrange. And then there were two, and no Harry Potter roundup would ever be complete without the brilliant and inspiring Hermione Granger (and her equally stunning real-life counterpart, Emma Watson).

So far, we got psyched on Fleur Delacour and the green goodness of Rita Skeeter, but as we enter the final three, we have to give love to the dark side of Bellatrix Lestrange, and the incredible Helena Bonham Carter.

Yesterday we brought you Fleur Delacour, but our fourth place goes to the stylishly sinister Rita Skeeter, as played by the vibrant Miranda Richardson.

The biggest thing to happen to cinema OF ALL TIME (Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2, F.Y.I.) is just days away, so to keep our style game up to snuff with Wizarding World events, MTV Style counts down which Harry Potter characters' closets we'd most like to raid and how best to cop their magical style. The competition was tough, but we whittled the cast down to five of the most stylish witches and we'll count down to the premiere (while you watch the Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 red carpet live!) by showing you ways to steal your favorite Potter character's look. First up, Fleur Delacour as played by the lovely Clémence Poésy.

Ssh, listen for it. If you are quiet enough, you can hear the collective sound of millions (billions?) of squealing fans, huffing in excitement, getting ready for their final journey into their favorite place. Forgive me for getting a little emotional, but the end of Harry Potter marks the end of an era; an era where I was filled with wonder and enchantment at the imaginative prospect of OH MY GOD, DO YOU SEE EMMA WATSON'S DRESS? What is that Oscar De La Renta DELIGHT she is wearing? At first one thinks of the über-femme Marchesa like she rocked at the MTV Movie Awards, but no, that is ODLR all the way, with the sheer excessiveness and glamour of the garment. Sure, it might be a little much for a daytime Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 red carpet, but the entire world is looking at her, and that isn’t even a little hyperbole. The tiers (and for me, tears!) falling down, the dreamy gray color, the bejeweled bodice...Harry shmarry, let’s see Emma and Co. making (fashion!) magic for the VERY LAST PREMIERE OF ALL TIME.

Kristin Davis as Charlotte York in "Sex and the City 2," and Selena Gomez in Santa Monica, California, on June 13, 2011.

Just when you thought Sex and the City was getting a little too middle-aged for the Jimmy Choo-clad crowd, author Candace Bushnell has come out with “Summer And The City,” a young adult novel based on the titular characters’ first interactions with the city, following a young, senior-year Carrie in the Big Apple. Not only do we love YA novels (especially YA novels about the city in which we live), we love seeing the girls who practically defined ‘90s NYC as unsure, post-teen city dwellers who teeter around town on un-sensible shoes much like the young authors at MTV Style. (There are four of us, TOO…no one calls Miranda, though in reality it would most likely be me. Womp-womp.)

In speaking about her novel, Bushnell says she’d like to see it on the screen. Which means, of course, today's Bright Young Things not only need to embody ICONS, but also the history of being some of the most stylish women (fictional and not) of all time. But can the gals today cut it? The chic lit turned YA novel(ista) thinks so, since she told The Daily Caller about her secret casting visions—not for heroine Carrie, but the young (and presumably pristine) Charlotte. “I’m going to get into trouble for this, but I was looking at some pictures of Selena Gomez today and thinking ’she’d make a really good young Charlotte.” Whoa. Candy, you are so right on; Selena's clean-cut charm practically oozes a slightly less WASP-y Charlotte. (Demure, well-heeled, but exceptionally assembled. Charlotte would applaud young Selena.) To make Hollywood’s job easier as they scrape together a script, we’ve picked the gals who've got the look down pat.

A still of a scene from 'Monte Carlo.'
Photo: Courtesy of New Regency Productions

What do you get when you take two parts Gossip Girl, one part beloved pop star, add in a romantic Parisian summer landscape, also royalty, and bake into a summer blockbuster in a Louis Vuitton trunk? The perfect storm for Monte Carlo's fash-glutton's dream-come-true movie wardrobe, of course. You will undoubtedly be taking notes on every sequin, stitch, and bauble leading ladies Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester, and Katie Cassidy work in this classically "girls' night" flick. The vortex force of this movie's covetable clothes parade (uhh, I mean, HULLO bird's-eye pan over massive trunk of sparkly heels!! Also, HECK YES to the artificial gleam on the gold T-straps) is enough to induce a catatonic stupor so strong your eyes glaze over from the sensory deluge (in the very best way, of course). And in a film rife with sartorial eye candy, you better believe each and every accessory was agonized over with so much love and attention to detail, including and especially the SHOES. Costume designer Shay Cunliffe talked to WWD about the footwear choices she made for the flick, and she gave a couple of revealing and juicy tidbits.

Miss Piggy in 'The Muppets' trailer.
Photo: Courtesy of Walt Disney Pictures

The Muppets movie, which comes out this Thanksgiving, is a deep and heartfelt story of struggle and redemption to reconnect all the Muppets together one last time to save the Muppet Theater from going under and blahblahblah—jump to the important part—MISS PIGGY PLAYS A PLUS-SIZE FASHION EDITOR AT PARIS VOGUE. While not only it is HILARIOUS to think Vogue would openly seek out (AND commission) a plus-size editor, Miss Piggy couldn't be a more perfect pig to play the part. She's sassy, she's witty, and, DANG, she dresses well. We've got our hands on the trailer, and we're already excited to see the full lineup of threads that Miss Piggy will don throughout the feature film. We're obsessed with her '40s fast talkin' journalist–inspired gray tweed blazer, mustard shirt, and pearl necklace outfit paired with a side chapeau, a hint of a birdcage veil, a rhinestone brooch, loose long ringlets, and lashes for DAYS. Check out the rest of her looks below!

Bella's wedding veil and clip.

HOLYYYYYY MATRIMONY!!! Whoa. WHOA. I'm hyperventilating. Hold up a second. Let me just... grab this chair, catch my breath. Go ahead and... read the headline to yourself for a little. I'll be here, digesting. Are you back? Deep breaths, all.

Remember, like, two weeks ago when we were all totally flipping our ish over that sneak preview of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 that aired at the Movie Awards?? We were all, "Zoinks. Bella's VEIL. And her RING. And EDWARD in a TUX," and fits of hysterical crying and laughing and crying again? Well, get the tissues ready because last night, Summit Entertainment confirmed via Facebook and Twitter that Bella's dress is designed by none other than gown guru Carolina Herrera.
