OMGZ. Our favorite Hillsie Lauren Conrad tie-dyed her blonde tips! Last week, she posted an image of multicolored strands on a blondie much like herself, claiming she was "obsessed" with this look—and we kind of don't blame her. Fortunately, she then polled her readers on her beauty site TheBeautyDepartment.com on whether she should take the purple-haired plunge and, lucky for us, the answer was a resounding "DO IT!" (Um, we may have voted. A lot. WHAT? LC SHOULD TAKE SOME FASHION RISKS, OK?!) And guess what? LC did not disappoint! Shortly after the poll, her hair became public property. She tweeted, "So this is happening..." and linked to a pic of blue and purple hair dye followed by a shot of her GORGE rainbow locks on her site. We're glad Lauren DIDN'T play it safe and that we got to weigh in on her next big beauty move. The perfect thing about just kissing the tips with color is that LC can play it safe in the front, but then have some fun and color (perf for summer, right?) in back.

We love this look sosososo much, and we can't WAIT to see these punky strands on Ms. Conrad from the front. Luckily, she posted a step-by-step tutorial on how to cop her look here!!

Whitney Port at the John Frieda Style Salon Tour in Hollywood on June 24.
Photo: Getty Images

While Lauren Conrad might be the The Hills alum with the best advice, we have to say: Our girl Whitney Port is certainly the Hills-y (Hills-er? Hillite? Whatever.) whose closet we'd most want to raid. Not only does she have Whitney Eve and her teeth cut on the New York fashion world, but the girl always looks so poised. So when Fabsugar caught up with her in Los Angeles, the blog got Whit Whit to spill some of her secrets about how to dress up (and down) and still look poised (which she pulled off with aplomb in her relaxed white Whitney Eve pants). We dug what she had to offer, so we've teased out a couple of our favorite pieces of advice:

Smurfette modeling Louis Vuitton for Harper's Bazaar, Snooki on set in Italy on May 25, 2011.
Photo: Jeffrey Westerbrook/'Harper's Bazaar,' Getty Images

The number of times The Smurfs and Jersey Shore have been mentioned together in the same sentence throughout all of human history to this point can probably be counted on two hands (AT MOST). We know that these little blue forest-dwellers have been around looong before "fist-pumping," "GTL," and "fried pickles" became staples in our vocabulary, but we can't get over how much Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and the new CGI Smurfette from The Smurfs movie look alike. A pint-size girl who wears itsy-bitsy dresses while running the town with a gang of shirtless dudes with similarly saturated skintones? The parallels are eerie. So much so that you'd think we would have put two and two together sooner, but it wasn't until this Harper's Bazaar, erm, shoot with Smurfette that we finally made the connection.

Paul 'DJ Pauly D' DelVecchio at Rain Nightclub in Las Vegas on June 24.
Photo: WireImage

The only thing DJ Pauly D loves more than the ladies is DIAMONDS. Though we are just judging by his smile, just look at that necklace! The chain is so THICK and LUSCIOUS that Pauly needed to use BOTH of his hands to relieve his neck from all that solid weight. What is it like when he spins? Does it burn holes in the back of his neck when the track lights are magnified through each individual prism? And what about these other rocks he's flossin'? Diamond studs so heavy his lobes can barely keep them in straight. Wrist-candy so flooded out they're practically free weights. Like, there's no doubt in our minds that he's doing curls in these things between each flashbulb snap to put his G into the TL. And we know that Pauly D has always rocked some sort of man-jewelry, but where's this sudden need to wear it all at the same time coming from? Is this an aftereffect of the Euro glamour life? Is he upping his security to protect all this ice? Will he let us borrow them for special occasions?!?? These are the Jersey-related questions that keep us up at night.

Bonus: Check out how flawlessly his teeth match his chain, both glinting white underneath the glare of the paparazzi. His dentist should get some sort of award, and we should all appreciate Mr. D's incredible hygiene.

Lauren Conrad promoting "Sugar and Spice" & "Lauren Conrad Style Guide" in New York City on Oct. 5, 2010.
Photo: Getty Images

No one's doubting that Lauren Conrad is a busy girl. Between a collaboration with Kohl's, her own Paper Crown line, her beauty web community The Beauty Department, and her own LaurenConrad.com, the girl totally has her hands full. Or overflowing. (We envision her daily schedule to be akin to wrangling dozens of unruly wriggling ferrets with ballerina-pink hair bows that just won't stay on no matter how many times you fix their tiny headgear.) On top of ferret, girly, fashion stuff, our girl LC has just taken on another role as the newest columnist for Forbes (P.S. Is being an advice-doling Hillzie becoming a thing?). In LC's introductory column entitled "Meet Lauren Conrad, Inc.", which went live last Thursday, she legitimizes herself for any Forbes regulars raising their eyebrows at a piece written by a girl their teenage daughters watched religiously on The Hills and/or Laguna Beach.

Vanessa Minnillo at her bachelorette party in Las Vegas on June 18, 2011.
Photo: Getty Images

It's no longer news, more like common knowledge, that actress and ex-MTV VJ (pour a little out for TRL) Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey are tying the knot. But over the past two days, Minnillachey (copyright pending) has supplied a one-two punch right in the fash-gossip kisser. Apparently, Vanessa has finally decided on a dress for the big day, and it's designed by Monique Lhuillier. Sure to be classic and romantic, we predict a strapless gown (or maybe a plunging neckline) to showcase V's impossibly elegant collarbone situation and perhaps some boning to encase and properly glorify her bananas hourglass shape.

Snooki in Italy and NYC.
Photo: Getty Images

Juuuust when we were getting cozy in Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's extensive slipper collection, the Jersey Shore star decided to expand her footwear line—actually labeled the apt and hilarious "Snooki Enterprises"—to include (gasp!) flip-flops and wedges. This is no surprise considering the Snooks is CONSTANTLY spotted on the beach working on the "T" in her "GTL." Her footwear line, which includes green pickles plastered across bright pink sequined flip-flops (with Snooki’s heart signature, of course) and ruched leopard print thongs, will retail between $15 and $50. Check out the pink pickle slip-ons below!

Real talk. I kiiiiiiiiinda can't stop looking at the cast of Jersey Shore even though they're reviled in certain circles beeeeeeecause the prospect of watching them gallivant around Rome with their drunken emo hearts BURSTING with pride and the quiet fear of dissonance and rejection holds me rapt. In fact, ever since the announcement of the fourth season's Italian location, I've been picturing nothing but a sprawling fashion editorial of Snooki and JWOWW perched on animal print chaises dripping in D&G, Escada, Zannoti and '80s Versace, adorned by GOBS of the heaviest David Yurman jewelry, surrounded by a fussy topiary potted in scads of marble.

Also, there would have to be a maze. It would take them like an hour and 45 minutes to get out.

Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino and Jenni 'JWOWW' Farley in Italy on May 22.
Photo: PictureGroup

So while I was anticipating some stylistic changes, I'm not sure I was ready for all this. Suddenly, they're all exactly ONE fashion step away from dressing like total hipsters. See, check this out. First of all, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is totally carrying a sensitive-dude man purse for all his paperbacks, and even though he is sporting a great deal of flair in his bedazzled shoelaces (his own company, naturally), for all intents and purposes, his size smedium, fine-gauge, screen-printed tee and designer sunnies could certainly have him fit in with the downtown cool-guy set in Manhattan's East Village (of course he looks Euro, he's a DJ! etc etc). Change his shoes to some hyperstrike Nikes and he's a hipster.

Jenni "JWOWW" Farley looks downright elegant and even her JWORTS (JWOWW jean shorts) are incredibly demure. The vibrant flats and FASHION BLOGGER SUN HAT are functional as they are attractive, but what we love is that seriously, were she wearing the solid American Apparel felt version of this millinery, she, too, would be a total hipster.

Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi and Deena Nicole Cortese in Italy on May 19 and May 23.
Photo: PictureGroup

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's shrunken leather jacket, dyed shorts and retro scrunched boots alone make for a total hipster callout, but the thing that nails this (other than her FUR ANIMAL PRINT SUNGLASSES) is that she looks like she's wearing THE hottest, just-on-the-come-up trendoid spring accessory--the FANNY PACK. Upon closer inspection, the band of leopard on her midriff is actually a cummerbund (immediately skewing the look to weirdly Euro), but again, she's about a yard of printed nylon away from iconic fashion-forward hipster material.

Deena Nicole Cortese is wearing a microfloral romper for crying out loud. The only thing that prevents her from toppling completely into H-ville is that her floral wedge heels are entirely incorrect. Were she wearing scuffed Tom's or filthy jute-soled espadrilles, she would have been a perfect candidate too.

We're stoked to see what each will bring on the sartorial mayhem front as soon as this season starts. BRING IT.

Cheryl Cole at 'The X Factor' in L.A. on May 8, Olivia Palermo at a 'Henry's Crime' screening in New York on April 4, and Sarah Jessica Parker at the Robin Hood Foundation gala in New York on May 9.
Photo: Getty Images/PictureGroup

So, this is happening. In a real Fugu-like display, it seems teasing-the-hair-on-the-crown-of-your-head-until-a-monstrously-large-follicle-dome-floats-several-inches-above-like-a-spun-sugar-halo, is the hottest new 'do. Every one from "The X Factor"'s Cheryl Cole to fashion plates, Olivia Palermo and Sarah Jessica Parker, have succumbed to the too-enticing temptations of looking like some Southern televangelist's child bride.

It's so weird, right? All three of these women are beautiful. And incredibly stylish. I literally cannot remember the last time Palermo caught a style L. And while SJP takes hella fashion risks, it pays off more frequently than it doesn't, and usually her hair looks pristine. Inconceivable. They all come from divergent backgrounds and enjoy completely different careers and yet, here they are, sporting Rodeo-lady hair to occasions that feature multiple photographers. Were they all just feeling a little extra-kicky or retro that day? Were they all previously at respective al fresco costume luncheons that featured burnt orange Pyrex, avocado-colored fridges, swirled linoleum, halter aprons with sunflowers on them and Tupperware that nested into each other that at one time held wee, individual icebox cakes?

It's all very, "my kitchen has a chicken theme" in a way that is confusing. Perhaps it is the handiwork of a well-respected, trusted coiffeur on a spree. Or perhaps this is just the hot newnew now. Oooooor, and this is perhaps the most likely culprit, THIS is not in fact a style as it is the hottest new workout wherein teasing your tresses until it creates a giant matted pompadour works your triceps out in an anaerobic manner that creates pilates arms and makes your head look HUGE, which makes your waist look small and your feet even tinier. DONE. SOLVED. This trend may be here for keeps. I am maybe teasing my shiz right now and having an editorial assistant take wordpress dictation. YOU CAN'T KNOW. #swag

Angelina Pivarnick at Duane Reade's Fashion-On-The-Go Hair Styling Services in New York City on May 6.
Photo: Getty Images

Last we heard of Jersey Shore's Angelina Pivarnick, she was announcing a little bun in the oven—meaning she's pregnant, if you aren't a fan of childish euphemisms—with her 'Bachelorette' beau, David Kovacs. (I have not grown out of playground humor nor will I ever, so there.) But just because this self-proclaimed "Kim Kardashian of Staten Island" is a mommy-to-be doesn't mean she can't take a little time for herself and get her hair did once in a while.

This Friday, Angie stepped out for Fashion-On-The-Go Hair Styling Services with Duane Reade (the New York-only CVS/Walgreens/Rite Aid/neighborhood drugstore because NY is super exclusive like that) and Whirl-A-Style. Angie and some fellow TV ladies (Star Trek: The Next Generation's Marina Sirtis, Celebrity Apprentice's Maria Kanellis, and The Bachelor's Jessie Sulidis and Gwen Gioia) sat down to demonstrate some easy and fast updo makeovers courtesy of the Whirl-A-Style, a new little hairdo tool made to help you coif your mane with speed and just in time for summer, the season of updos.

At first, I was like, "Mmmm, I haven't used a plastic tool in my hair since elementary school when the Topsy Tail was KING" (no disrespect to anyone still working the Topsy Tail. I'm just bitter because I can't find mine.), but check out the chic side-chignon Angelina is rocking. Would you guess that only took 5 minutes? Like, WHAT. Yea. And just think of all the TIME you would get back in your day from using one of these things. I could eat a substantial breakfast. Or catch up on sleep. Or wash a dish. Or drop off my dry cleaning. Or call my mom. Or take calcium once in a while. Or dust something. Or. Or... Man, I really gotta get it together.
