There are bazillion things in this world we can think of that are better than nails on a chalkboard *shudders at just having to TYPE it*, but nothing quite directly offsets it like Ciaté's forthcoming Chalkboard Manicure. A product of the UK-based nail juggernaut, the Chalkboard Manicure is the latest of Ciaté's line of Wow Kits—a series of box sets including all the necessary elements you'll need to achieved highly-specialized, bonkers-looking styles like their caviar and colourfoil manicures.

'Spring Breakers'-Themed Nail Art For Badass Beach Babes

Sorry to say this, but we're jerks. We've seen Spring Breakers before its official theater release this Friday, and we cannot stop thinking about it. Here's why: It stars good-girls-gone-bad Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, Vanessa Hudgens and Rachel Korine who are so desperate to get away from their college town that they'll do whatever it takes to get money to go on spring break. (And we mean anything, see: guns, ski masks.) Oddly enough, we can sort of relate because, um, it's DISMAL outside, and we're straight-up dreaming of sunny beaches, cut-off shorts, flip-flops—and a little adventure. But instead of, erm, committing crimes to get our spring break fix, we're doing the next best thing—painting our nails! From the trailers, paparazzi sightings, and movie posters, you can already tell it won't be your typical spring break movie, so sit back and relax while we explain why these manicures are the most badass (and beach ready!) manis you need to cop ASAP. Up first—a neon green and pink stiletto set that perfectly mixes together downright illegal criminal activity and SPRING BREAAKKKK!! WOOOOOOO! The gold bullet is a nice touch, too.

5 DIY St. Patrick's Day Manicures (That Don't Suck!)

In case y'all forgot, St. Patrick's Day is juuust around the corner (Sunday, March 17 to be exact!), which means we've got less than a week to mentally prepare ourselves for WAY too many head-to-toe kelly green outfits and mini leprechaun top hats. *cringe* Here at MTV Style, we're all about celebrating holidays in the most stylish ways possible, so we rounded up St. Paddy's Day-themed nail designs that are super easy on the eyes (and easy to do!). First on our list of to-dos—a straight-up white shamrock pattern on a bold green base. We love how it's simple and straightforward yet totally chic! To get the same precision as the manicurist here, be sure to use super small nail art brush with highly-pigmented white polish.

Our Favorite '90s Nickelodeon Cartoons Transformed Into Nail Art!

If you're a child of the '90s, cartoons and Nickelodeon went hand-in-hand like Lisa Frank and Trapper Keepers. Not to get all dramatic, but, like, those shows kiiind of shaped who we are today. We couldn't WAIT to plop down in front of the TV to hang out with some of our funny friends (hi, Skeeter from Doug and Chuckie Finster from Rugrats!) and have a GRAND ol' time. Since most our favorite shows are no longer on air (*sniff sniff*), we thought we'd bring 'em back to life the best way we know how--through nail art! We rounded up our fave Nick-inspired manicures, so check 'em out below.

We love this GORGE homage to Angelica, Chuckie and Tommy from Rugrats! Each character was meticulously hand-painted on each finger in the exact same illustration style from the show. Honestly, with all those layers of colors and attention to detail this probably took FOREVS to do, but we think it was totally worth it. *claps*

We're Obsessed With The Blonds' Frighteningly Good Fall 2013 Horror Nail Art

Earlier this week we dissected The Blonds killer (heh) classic Hollywood horror film-inspired fall 2013 pieces at NYFW (think: fake blood splatters in the form of sequins and dresses doubling as rope-tied victims), but when we looked closer at these frighteningly good ensembles, we noticed the models' nail art game was ridiculously on point—we're talking incredibly iconic slasher flick moments etched onto mini fingernail canvases. Above, you'll see a white on black "Bates Motel" mani from the movie Psycho and the word "REDRUM" (murder backwards!) painted on her nails just like in The Shining. We're gettin' the creeps just looking at it.

Welp, if you got totally wrapped up in the New York Fashion Week/Grammys storm (like us!), you've miiight've forgotten about a lovely little thing called Valentine's Day happening tomorrow. If you have a killer date/girl's night planned and still want into get into the holiday spirit, we've got some super cute last-minute DIY options to get your nail game on POINT before the big day. One of our favorite looks is this blue and white heart mani (above) with a different design on every digit. We love how it's mod-inspired AND isn't in the traditional pink and white color scheme. Just when you think you've seen EVERYTHING from the 2013 Grammys, we got our hands on even more deets behind some of the best beauty looks of the night. We loved Kelly Clarkson's super shimmery violet, pink, and gold glitter polish, which popped against her tea-length black sweetheart dress. But, as it turns out, it was a custom creation made just for Ms. Clarkson! She Instagrammed a pic of her decked-out nails and said, "The great Deborah Lippmann created a custom nail polish for me today! Should we call it 'Stronger?'" Wait, does this mean she's actually making this nail polish?! YASSS.

Jennifer Lopez Shows Off 'Angelina Leg,' Gold Leaf Nail Art At 2013 Grammys

Almost exactly a year ago, Angelina Jolie debuted her infamous right leg at the Oscars and, lucky for us, it's baaaccckk! On the Grammys red carpet, Jennifer Lopez sported a black, one-shoulder Anthony Vaccarello satin gown with a slit up to gosh-knows-where, and we can't stop staring it. (Sorry!) If you can tear your eyes away from her toned thighs, you'll see she accessorized with killer strappy gold and black stilettos, a gold paneled clutch, SERIOUSLY impressive bangles, and diamond stud earrings. For her beauty game, she pulled her hair back into a tight high bun and went for black liner all around her eyes. She finished the look with a glossy nude lip and bronzed cheeks. But, um, have y'all peeped her nails yet? IN. SANE.

Guys, nail art has OFFICIALLY taken over the 2013 Grammy Awards red carpet, and we are lovin' it! So far, we've peeped Kelly Osbourne's super sweet heart manicure, and Carly Rae Jepsen's badass stud-accented tips. She sported a slinky silver Roberto Cavalli strapless beaded gown with a silvery smokey eye and chocolate brown hair with her vampy look, which we are ob-sessed with.
