Will Ferrell and Rihanna both sported all-over money print, but who did it better?.

There were MANY shocking things about Will Ferrell's cameo at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards last night. And although his, um, unexpected encounter with Aubrey Plaza on stage is providing more than enough water cooler convo this morning, the comedian's all-over money print suit is the image that's forever burned into our eyeballs. And you know what? We're not even mad about it! Strutting out onstage (to the tune of Pusha T's "Millions," natch), yesterday's "Comedic Genuis" winner gave a whole new meaning to the term "money shot." But our man Will isn't the only one turning the Benjamins into a fashion statement these days—someone ELSE who appreciates a good dollar bill motif every now and then is Rihanna, who wore a holographic money print dress last month during her Diamonds World Tour.

Looks like Macklemore wasn't the only 2013 MTV Movie Awards performer to keep rep fringe. Selena Gomez implemented the swingy stuff in BOTH her red carpet ensemble and her performance outfit. On the step-and-repeat, Sel was a vision of boundary-pushing beauty in a gold, long-sleeved Julien MacDonald minidress covered in lace and teeny tiny gold chains. She kept all the drama to her eyes and hair with smoky shadow and a unique twist on the French braid with a pompadour and chunky, woven, mane-like situation. A contrast from the romantic, fresh-faced outfits we've grown accustomed to seeing Sel sport for her Spring Breakers press tour, Gomez plays up her split style personality's music side looking sleek with a bit of edge.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis perform for the 2013 MTV Movie Awards.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis just hit the 2013 MTV Movie Awards stage for an expectedly ROUSING performance of their new single, "Can't Hold Us," and welp, it looks like our performance outfit predictions were only kind of wrong (or right, if you're one of those glass-half-full types). We may have most heavily bet on the Seattle MC wearing a full-bodied fur coat, but we DID still forecast a 25% chance of fringe. And fringe there most certainly was. It wasn't rendered in the sueded leather per usual but instead as regal golden rope all along the shoulders and hemline of Mack's cobalt red carpet cape with a LOUCHE patterned lining made by friend Logan Neitzel. This was just the start of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' self-described "modern matador" performance steez.
WHOA there, Justin Bieber! You definitely didn't give us much notice to mentally prepare for your new "All Around The World Video". Biebs tweeted yesterday, "I have a surprise for all my beliebers tomorrow... #AATWvideo," and while the hashtag kind of gives away the whole surprise element of it all, that's OK, we're glad to get a heads up. Because of this, we were totally eagle-eying Twitter this morning and on our tip-toes ready to pounce on the fashion game as soon as the video premiered. Taking the song's title to heart, the clip follows the star literally around the world, from performances to meet-and-greets to, yes, even an inside peek into his private jet (#swaggy). This tour footage means that we've seen most of these outfits before, but if you think about it, that's a good thing! Consider this sartorial whirlwind your chance to live vicariously through the Biebs (for a few minutes, anyway)... no passport required.

Aw, the video opens with Justin ASLEEP on his private jet! (Side note: Does he actually sleep in a beanie?) But before long we get a glimpse at the rest of his outfit, which includes a black T-shirt, baggy black pants, and olive green sneaks. Moving on...
It feels like forever ago since we found out/freaked out about Beyonce's "The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour" announcement, but, dudes, it starts in T-minus three days. THREE. DAYS. AHHHH. As we get closer to her debut show, details about her performance outfits continue to leak out—the most recent being that the infamous twins behind Dsquared2, Dean and Dan Caten, will be designing at least one custom-made piece for
Queen King Bey, according to Vogue UK. Beyonce's other looks will be created by Julien Macdonald, but who knows who else joined her A-list designer roster. (We'll find out on Monday, though! *SQUEE*)
Carrie Underwood's three Academy Of Country Music Awards looks.
You might not realize it, but here at MTV Style we can get a little bit country. We like to think of ourselves as open-minded, but it doesn't even take an open mind to get down with some of our favorite Nashville ladies. Arguably two of the reigning queens of country, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, took to last night's 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards red carpet AND stage in multiple looks that have us swooning. Both women brought it consistently throughout the night, but we have to talk about Carrie first because not only did she do red carpet to stage style like a pro, but she changed her performance look TWICE throughout the night. Starting out the evening in a floral photo printed Naeem Khan gown and a flippy updo, Underwood was a picture of spring. The dress, which featured a sweetheart neckline, A-line silhouette and contrast black sash, also had an epic blown-up tulip print. A daring choice on a carpet which was otherwise relatively tame, and we're wholly in support of it.
HOMG, y'all. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are performing at our 2013 MTV Movie Awards!!! The Seattle-based duo joins our girl Selena Gomez on the Golden Popcorn performance roster, and we could NOT be more excited about it. Not just because we're stoked on all the excellent music action happening at an awards show dedicated to films, but because our stage lineup is extreeemely fashionable (as MTV Style we care deeply about this). We're light-headed and reeling from being sprung this announcement so early in the morning (it's early for us anyway), but that doesn't mean we're not still going to unpack Macklemore's tag-popping MC steez to predict what he'll wear when he takes the stage with his boy Ryan Lewis next weekend (Sunday, April 14 at 9 p.m. ET). Here we go!
Sleeveless shirts are a Macklemore performance staple.

The Look: A shirt without sleeves worn underneath everything else
The Percent Likelihood of Wear: 99.9999%
The Argument: There are many admirable things about Macklemore, but one of our favorites is his unflappable dedication to performance. The dude is high-octane, running on all cylinders, leaping and bounding and flailing his arms all over the place (purposefully) for song after song after song. He's always moving and never looks tired. With all that activity, he heats up quickly, so you can put money on him wearing some sort of sleeveless number at the base of any stage ensemble no matter the topper. We are (okay, I am) personally gunning for something like this Vancouver Grizzlies throwback basketball jersey but know full-well it'll most likely be a cotton tank.
Demi Lovato matched her nails to her outfit on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

We've seen Demi Lovato show her love of heavy metal hardware from (literally) head to toe, but for her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, she took it to the next level with a jacket printed with trompe l'oeil studs and matching spiked nails. Fresh off revealing her very bare DEMI album art, Demi paid Kimmel and his Los Angeles studios a vist to chat about a grip of topics, from her X Factor experience, how she broke her fibula, and what to expect from her new album.
Taylor Swift wears her custom Vintage Shoe Company 'Red' oxfords.

If you follow Taylor Swift's every footstep as closely as we do, then you already know that the pop star is a huge fan of Vintage Shoe Company. She's rocked a tobacco-hued lace-up pair in a photo shoot for her Red album cover, sported a similar style for Rolling Stone magazine, and—here's how you know she's genuinely obsessed—wears them off-duty, as well. She stepped out in New York City this weekend in a red suede version of her beloved Aubrey oxfords, and the bright kicks added the perfect amount of prep to her buttoned-up, skinny jeans ensemble. But it turns out these aren't just any shoes... the pair was actually created specifically for Taylor and her Red tour.
Have you HEARD? Selena Gomez is performing at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 14! Not only will this mark Sel's first musical performance in honor of the Golden Popcorn, it'll also be the first televised performance of her new forthcoming single, "Come & Get It," the debut track from Miss Gomez's new album, set to be released this summer. After so many months of following Selena (the actress) making the press rounds for Spring Breakers, seeing her get back into the role of Selena (the singer) is guaranteed to be a really fun change of pace. Even if it might get a little confusing. Sel has said several times that she has a kind of split style personality, opting for one kind of look when she does film and a different look when she does music. So then what happens when she performs music at an awards show for FILMS?!?? We'll see for ourselves come April 14, but until then, we're speculating based on some trends we've noticed from her history of performance ensembles.
SHOW-STOPPING CURTAIN SKIRTS
What will Selena Gomez wear for her 2013 MTV Movie Awards performance?
Photo: Getty Images
We're not 100% positive that "curtain skirts" is the scientific name for this look, but for the better part of 2012, Selena was almost always wearing some iteration of this silhouette on stage. The number is a teeny tiny base outfit (usually extreme hot pants or a very dangerous mini) with a chiffon-type floor-length skirt wrapped about 3/4 of the way around, leaving a kind of window for Selena's spec-TAC-ular legs. It's a kind of best-of-both-worlds outfit that provides all the gam-glorifying of a bodysuit and all the drama of an ethereal gown.
