It was the question heard 'round the world (and the interwebs) ever since we first got word of 2013's Met Gala theme: HOW do you dress for "Punk: Chaos to Couture"?! Well, the rebellious rough-and-tumble inspiration for tonight's main event may have thrown some attendees for a loop, but that's OK, because we found more than enough style stars to stay true to theme and shake things up on the red carpet. Of COURSE mainstays like Debbie Harry, Donatella Versace, and Vivienne Westwood did it right—that much should have been given. But the ladies we're calling out below are the ones who surprised us by their unexpected loyalty to the theme, those who weren't afraid to go beyond the safety pins and a few statement studs. So let's all give a round of applause for the most creative, most committed punk-themed Met Gala outfits of the night, shall we?

If there's anyone we can count on to get down with a theme, it's this girl! Cara Delevingne may be a supermodel, but you'd better bet she went all-out punk tonight in a custom studded Burberry dress. Rocking that seriously plunging V-neck like there's no tomorrow and showing off her Genevieve Jones earpiece with a deep side part, we ALL wish we could make punk somehow look that...well, pretty? Sigh.
