After a huge (and we mean HUGE) buildup, it seems almost weird to think that the 2013 Oscars are ...over. Crazy, right? But before we get all nostalgic and deal with our impending case of awards season hangover, we've got more important matters to deal with, like the DRESSES (duh). Considering the Academy Awards as an event is basically IT— like Hollywood prom— everyone upped their game in a big way tonight. From Quvenzhané Wallis and her puppy purse all the way to Jennifer Lawrence's stunning Dior gown, we've whittled down the star-studded red carpet into our 2013 Oscars Top Ten Best Dressed Ladies. So you ready for this?! Let's go!

Paging Captain Obvious: it's been a loooong road to the Oscars for Jennifer Lawrence. But after countless interviews, award shows, and even a bout with pneumonia, the Best Actress WINNER (!!) chose THE perfect gown to culminate her Academy Award journey. Crafted by Christian Dior with a dramatic mermaid silhouette, an all-over leaf pattern, and a epic voluminous skirt, J.Law's dress fits her like haute couture glove. She's a superstar on so many levels here, and we can't ever get enough.

We may have come to know Zooey Deschanel for her creative nail art at award shows (from film strips at the Golden Globes to retro TVs at the Emmys), but we were thrown for a loop when she showed up with a brand new HAIR CUT at the Vanity Fair Oscars party after the big show. And we're not just talking a trim, or new bangs. The New Girl star completely chopped her luscious long locks for a sleek and stunning bob, which has been a growing trend for celebs this year.

Zoe Saldana Rocks Major Jewels At The 2013 Oscars [Video]

Forever a babe, Zoe Saldana continued her red carpet reign at the Oscars tonight. Wearing a Alexis Mabille couture dress that was dripping with details, Zoe stopped to chat with Josh Horowitz and Janell Snowden about her glam look and its unexpected inspirations.

"I'm having a girl crush!" Janell exclaims, and we couldn't agree more. Twirling for the camera, Zoe shows off all the particulars of her pale grey gown. There's sequined appliques and lace cut outs on the bodice. There's floral stitching and there's a diamond encrusted belt buckle and there's a side bow and a slit and a train...*Phew!* Yet, somehow, Zoe's look is totally effortless. Her loose curls and super simple make-up allow the deets of the dress to really shine. But the outfit isn't even the best part! For that, you've gotta look to the girl's fingers. Rocking so much silver that her hands look heavy, Zoe gushes over the nine Neil Lane rings that dot her digits. It's quite a collection, complete with a sexy serpent, some classic oval cuts and, our personal faves, a few delicate knuckle bands. Zoe says all this bling is "honoring the pirate that's inside." If that's the case, well, yo ho, a pirates life for us!

If you're just arriving to the party, Oscar night is in full swing and we're already singing the praises of how killer young Hollywood is looking on the red carpet. One of our all time faves, Kristen Stewart, looks so slamming in a Reem Acra pale blush gown. Guys, it's hand beaded! It's got pleated tulle inserts! It's got translucent details! Isn't it the dreamiest? It's no secret Kristen is a fan of sheer 'fits for the red carpet and we're so psyched she's continuing to rock the super sexy trend. The Oscar presenter has always been a star but her glam game has been extra inspiring as of late. How great is the vintage Fred Leighton necklace she's wearing? But even with all that sparkle, the accessory of the night isn't the jewelry...it's the crutches.

Jennifer Lawrence Is Regal In Ballerina Pink Dior Couture At The 2013 Oscars [Video]

THIS JUST IN: Jennifer Lawrence rounded out her epic awards season by wearing a blush pink Dior Haute Couture gown on the 2013 Oscars red carpet. It's not a big surprise that J. Law would wear the designer on the carpet, as she previously perfected her french pronunciation of "haute" on the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards carpets, but Jennifer threw us a curve ball last night in an angular Lanvin spring/summer 2013 dress at the Film Independent Spirit Awards, as well as in Rouland Mouret at the Vanity Fair pre-Oscars party, so we kind of thought she might break from her Dior ball gown tendencies. We have to say, we're glad she didn't. Of the three Dior gowns we've seen her in, this one, with its dramatic fishtail shape and voluminous train, is our favorite. Jennifer looks stunning in pale pink, and the epic silhouette just screams Oscars. This dress is really all about texture as well, with an all-over leaf pattern on the fabric almost making it look wrinkled.

Quvenzhané Wallis Wears Custom Armani Junior And A Puppy Purse At The 2013 Oscars

Finally! Oscar night is officially off and running, people, and leave it to Quvenzhané Wallis to start things on a seriously high fashion note. The 9-year-old Best Actress nominee (she's up for her star-making turn in Beasts of the Southern Wild) was one of the early attendees on the red carpet tonight, practically OOZING adorableness in a midnight blue dress from Giorgio Armani. The princessy custom frock, which is embellished with rhinestones over layers of tulle, comes courtesy of the Italian label's Armani Junior collection. Oh, and get this— Quvenzhané's the very first person to rock it on the red carpet! So basically what we're saying is, she's not ONLY making Oscar history as the youngest nominee, but she's making fashion history, too. Girl is on fire! We've been waiting to see if the actress would carry one of her 20 (!!) signature puppy purses on the red carpet, and she did NOT disappoint. Meet Sammy the dog, who's also glammed up in a formal tutu and a tiara. Hey, it IS the Oscars, after all...

Jennifer Lawrence Works Ultra-Modern Lanvin At The 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards

We dare you to find us a gown that doesn't look incredible on Jennifer Lawrence. One of the things we love most about Jennifer is that she isn't afraid to experiment on the carpet, and doesn't just stick to one cut or color. Be it a classic old Hollywood style gown, something sleek and sexy, or a dress so directional it has some people's eyebrows up to their hairlines, Jennifer Lawrence has probably tried it out at least once, and we're willing to bet money that she looked amazing when she did. We're BEYOND excited to see what she's going to wear to the Oscars tomorrow night, and even more so because she looks INCREDIBLE in Lanvin at the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards. We love that Jennifer has been working a lot of very classic looks this awards season, from her coral, strapless Dior Haute Couture at the Golden Globes to the navy sheath (also Dior) she wore to this year's Screen Actor's Guild Awards, but we're beginning to think she's changed her sartorial tack. A sleek black Spring/Summer 2013 gown with cut-outs at the waist, an angular hemline and a silver halter-style collar, Jennifer's Indie Spirits look is anything but basic. Between today's Lanvin and the black and white, architectural Rouland Mouret dress that she wore to Vanity Fair's Campaign Hollywood Pre-Oscars party, Jennifer seems to be moving away from that classic hollywood glam and taking a more modern approach to the carpet. Will she continue in the same vein tomorrow night or will we see her back in classic Dior Couture? We're giddy with anticipation.
