Amy Winehouse's Father Wears Late Singer's Photo To The 2013 BRIT Awards

It's impossible not to get sad at the mere mention of Amy Winehouse's name, with her death a mere two years ago still pretty fresh in our minds. Amy's father, Mitch, has been keeping his daughter's memory alive through charity work, books, and countless appearances, his latest being on the red carpet of the 2013 BRIT Awards. Mitch took to the carpet outside of the O2 arena in London in a custom powder blue vest bearing the singer's photo. The image used is classic Amy: her wide eyes are painted with her signature swooped cat eye and her lips are bright pink and heavily-lined. You can also clearly see that she is wearing the Star of David pendent she was frequently spotted in (and that her mother now wears), and her trademark gold hoop earrings.

We may be miles across the pond, but pesky things like distance and time zones and international programming limitations aren't holding us back from keeping close tabs on all the fashion comings and goings of the 2013 BRIT Awards (tonight their time, this afternoon ours!) in London. The stars have only just started to roll through, but they are turning it OUT for the mid-week awards show. There are still a few key players we're waiting on (namely performers Justin Timberlake and those One Direction cuties), but we're ALREADY seen a ton of great red carpet fashion. Most exciting for us so far? Taylor Swift shirking her go-to reds, golds, and whites, for a saucy BLACK number with see-through panels, Jessie J looking positively glamorous and near-unrecognizable in a plunging neckline cut to there, sleek hair, and soft feminine makeup, and finally our bb Emeli Sande looking smart in a tailored shirtdress and her trademark platinum pomp. Lily Collins Wears A Paule Ka Bow Gown To The Costume Designers Guild Awards

We've been SO excited about the Costume Designers Guild Awards here at MTV Style, we've been counting to the big night with a series of exclusive interview with the masterminds behind some of our favorite outfits (catch up on them here!). The ceremony finally went down yesterday in Los Angeles, and the stars turned out to support their fave designers like Jacqueline Durran of Anna Karenina and Mirror Mirror‘s Eiko Ishioka, who each won the top awards for Outstanding Period Film Award and Outstanding Fantasy Film, respectively. And while we're serving up a huge congrats to all the winners, right now we HAVE TO discuss the gown that Mirror Mirror star Lily Collins rocked on the red carpet, because, well, it's amazing. The monochrome floor-length frock comes courtesy of Paule Ke, with a deep V-neck and an oversized white bow across the back. The look might not be quiteeee as backless as Selena Gomez these days, but the simple yet stunning cut is enough to make ANYONE sit up and take notice.

Selena Gomez Wears Another Backless Outfit To 'Spring Breakers' Germany Premiere

Don't let Selena Gomez's big doe eyes and baby face fool you. She's a saucy little starlette with an eye for show-stopping couture. The Spring Breakers ladies are making their international rounds, promoting the premiere of their Harmony Korine project from New York to Venice to Paris and everywhere in between. Where Italy brought out the most ladylike of the Spring Breakers girls, Paris marked a turn where the film's leading ladies have started to show off considerably more skin, and judging from the latest red carpet showing from the Germany premiere, chief among them is Miss Selena Gomez.

Selena Gomez And 'Spring Breakers' Cast Show Some Skin On Paris Premiere Red Carpet

Despite the familiar Disney faces in Spring Breakers (Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, and even Ashley Benson, by way of ABC Family, all have history with The Mouse), we're not expecting the movie to be anything like the shiny, sparkly happy endings we're used to watching these ladies act out. On the contrary, we're expecting something much closer to director Harmony Korine's first forays into film-making: Kids and Gummo. The reality of just how gritty some of our favorite on-screen good girls become for this film has been a slow reveal. Between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle tees and motorized scooters on-set and cheeky swimsuit snaps in magazine promo shots, the film's leading ladies have generally kept their Spring Break steez off the red carpet (Exhibit A: the cast's glamorous and ladylike Venice togs). That is, until now. Judging from Ashley, Selena, Vanessa, and Rachel Korine's Paris premiere ensembles, it looks like the girls are starting to rep Spring Break skin on the step-and-repeats, as well!

Beyonce's forthcoming HBO documentary, "Life Is But A Dream," premiered last night in New York City, and appropriately, Bey looked dreamy in a silvery beige Elie Saab gown. Where Mrs. Carter went for a bold, mod, tailored look for this weekend's 2013 Grammys, Beyonce chose a softer, more ethereal ensemble for her premiere. The floor-length dress was fitted through the bodice with a straight column skirt and a bit of a train for glamour.

2013 Grammys Fashion Recap: 2 Chainz Medieval Style, Rihanna's Classic Hollywod Glamour, And More [Video]

Can you believe Karlie Kloss? The woman is an alien, being able to go straight from the Grammys to LAX and open a show at New York Fashion Week all in the span of 24 hours. We're really in awe. We're also in awe of Editor-at-large Mary H.K. Choi, who woke up at the crack of dawn yesterday to bring us all of the Grammys red carpet action, from her Reformation romper, to Karlie's glam-squad routine, to all of the night's crazy looks. Whew. All in the name of fashion, though, right? And boy, did the red carpet ever deliver on that front. From 2 Chainz's Versace cape, which Choi said was "classic to the point of medieval," to Rihanna's classic, old Hollywood glam red gown that Kloss said "made her blend into the carpet" (in a good way) and Florence Welch's custom Givenchy which VH1 host Carrie Keagan said was "channeling her inner dragon," there was so much on the carpet to talk about, we knew we had to pull all of our hosts together to rehash it all. Beyonce, Rihanna, Taylor Swift And More Are Best Dressed At 2013 Grammys

Oh. My. Gah. The 2013 Grammys are officially over, and we have to say—this has been one of the best dressed events to date. Everyone looked so classy and cool in their simply chic gowns (and suits!), and we're still dying over it. Rihanna stunned us in a sizzling red number while Taylor Swift went the Grecian goddess route in a plunging white gown, but overall, we are super proud of our top 10 Grammy red carpet picks because they are just STUNNING. BEYONCE IN OMAN YOUSEFZADA

We've already said so many words about Beyonce's Oman Yousefzada jumpsuit. How it reminded us of her leaked Vogue cover and how she and Hov were totes matchy-matchy. But it's the poised boss lady elegance of the look amidst all those wardrobe malfunctions waiting to happen that lands her on our Best Dressed list.

2013 Grammys Dress Code: Rihanna, Katy Perry, Kelly Rowland, And More Break The Rules

Remember how CBS issued that wardrobe advisory for the 2013 Grammys? Their short blurb of arguably clunky language stumbled over chuckle-worthy dress code edicts like, "Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack," and "Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples," and quite possibly our personal favorite, "Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible 'puffy' bare skin exposure." WOWOWOW. *shudders, dry heaves* We're still not totally sure what "puffy" skin is a euphemism for, but there was probably a star on the Grammys red carpet that bunked it since SO many ladies and gents (ex: Rihanna, Katy Perry, Kelly Rowland, deadmau5 just to rattle off a few) knowingly broke the rules. RIHANNA'S SHEER DRESS

Rihanna just finished another performance and wore a severely cropped top that we're sure jump-started so many crossed fingers and toes for a wardrobe malfunction, but it's RiRi's red custom Alaia that first landed her on the dress code offenders list. While beautiful, the one-off gown directly conflicts with the, "Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples," note. We're sure the self-proclaimed bad gal would have one response to that: #phuckyodresscode.

Taylor Swift Sparkles In Silver And White On 2013 Grammys Red Carpet And Stage

Wow, talk about coordination! We first swooned over Taylor Swift's glittery J.Mendel gown when she stepped onto the Grammys red carpet earlier tonight, but LITTLE DID WE KNOW then that this wasn't the last we'd see of the pop star glittering in silver and white. In fact, just moments later Tay swapped out her Grecian dress for a glam ringleader-inspired ensemble when she opened the awards show with "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." Maybe she loved her EMA performance outfit SO much, she wanted to repeat the look? Instead of bold red sequins like last time, though, tonight Taylor kept things light in a long white coat, white shorts, and a white top hat adorned with sparkly silver embellishments. It's almost like she's rocking out in a really glamorous circus, and we're all invited to the show — so let the theatrics begin!
