Happy Monday, everyone! And no, we're not even being sarcastic. In fact, we're still coasting off our Bling Ring high from over the weekend, and hopefully you are, too, since Sofia Coppola's Hollywood heist flick finally saw its New York/Los Angeles release on Friday! We've been ALL over this movie (much like Emma Watson & co. were all over Paris Hilton's shoe closet, heh) ever since we first got wind of the early production stills about a year ago. Now, the promo has officially come full circle, thanks to VFiles and its new Bling Ring capsule. The e-tailer/video company/all-around creative hub has just debuted a collection of products inspired by the movie. Stocked with jersey short shorts, patterned nail wraps, and Ring Pops, this set (which is packaged like a police evidence bag) pretty much covers all the bases.

hannah simone modern vice

Modern Vice co-founder Jordan Adoni and Hannah Simone.

Hannah Simone likes shoes. Who doesn’t, right? But work with us, here. So as we were saying, Hannah Simone likes shoes. Flat shoes, spiky shoes, flippy floppy shoes and running shoes. Since she plays a model on New Girl, she gets to wear all kinds of different shoes. One day, she stumbled into a pair of black wedge sneakers that quickly became part of her regular rotation. They were comfy as hell, versatile as heck and looked awesome as f*ck. Hannah Simone danced in them, strutted in them and maybe even rescued a family of baby ducks in them once. (Not confirmed.) They were made by a company called Modern Vice.

Brothers Jordan and Jensen Adoni had a dream to follow in their father’s footsteps and start a shoe business - but not some hackneyed shoe business. They wanted to establish a factory in New York City and craft wares with their bare hands, like men. Only a couple years later, their company Modern Vice holds fort in a 7,000 square foot midtown factory, and they're one of few manufacturers making shoes in New York.

When Hannah heard their story, she wanted to see what happens behind the scenes at Modern Vice. How did her new favorite pair of sneakers come to life? She found the company’s traditional values and ambitious nature inspiring, and the idea of bringing manufacturing back to America resonated with her. But also, how many times have you seen a shoe being lovingly forged by expert craftsmen? Exactly. Never times. Simone had to see it. Lucky for us, she invited us along for the field trip.

Real talk: it's hard not to get depressed while looking at the weather forecast, you guys. We know that SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) normally applies to the wintertime, but considering how soaking, sopping, and downright muddy the summertime has been thus far (at least on the East Coast), this nonstop dreariness is seriously taking a toll. BUT you know what? Instead of succumbing to the temptation to sulk about the rain, it's time to make the most of it, starting with—duh, where else?!—your closet. So whether you feel like braving the storm, catching up on Netflix at home, or denying the grossness outside all together, here are 3 stylish ways to beat June Gloom until the sun comes out again.

Beat the storm straight-on in these rainy essentials.

If you're the adventurous type (or just want to duck out for a coffee), stay dry with these super cute rainy essentials. The bright yellow Urban Outfitters slicker will add a dash of sunshine to the gray everywhere else, and you can never go wrong with classic forest green Hunter boots. Then again, if it's not a total downpour, we also love Loeffler Randall's rubber leopard booties, since they're one of the few styles that don't look embarrassingly out of place once the rain stops. Herschel's classic backback lets you free up your hands for the ultimate staple: your umbrella.

Styles from Vans Fall 2013 collection.
Photo: Courtesy of Vans

Vans is no stranger to rad collaborations, adorable lookbooks, and even some pretty awesome DIY action (hi, Macklemore!). However, despite debuting platform skate sneakers last season and having its toes consistently dipped into the fashion world, there's ONE trend the brand has held out on...until now, that is. Behold, the Vans sneaker wedge! Proving that the hidden heel really IS the trend that just might go on forever, the athletic giant is rolling out two new styles for Fall 2013. So whether or not you're a fan of the hidden heel yourself, there's no denying the staying power of the wedge sneaker. After all, they're comfy, they're versatile, and, in the case of the solid color Vans Sk8-Hi Wedge and the Leopard Print Sk8-Hi Wedge, they're still injected with that signature Vans sporty swagger.

Did you know Kanye West has a new album coming out next week? It's kind of a small project, and Ye generally downplays everything he does, so it's understandable that you might not have heard about it... JOKES. Yeezus the man and the record have been everywhere for the better part of the past month and definitely this week. From premiering music at Governors Ball to celebrating his birthday with a star-studded party, from his Manhattan album listening party to the New York Times interview heard 'round the world, Kanye has ramped the anticipation for his sixth studio album waaaay up over the last few days. As we broach release week (the album officially drops on Tuesday, remember?), we want to make sure all the true blue Kanye fans are prepared for the coming of Yeezus. Thus, we've wrangled up a haul of the best Yeezy fan merch (affectionately termed around here as "Stan Swag") for your consumption. And don't worry, it's all (relatively) reasonably priced, so you won't be spending everything on Alexander Wang.

Justin Bieber

What's better than static images of Justin Bieber? Moving images! OK, so it's not preferred to seeing him in the flesh, but still, it's pretty cool. Welp, the folks at adidas NEO just released this behind-the-scenes video from Justin's latest NEO photoshoot, bringing us one step closer to candid IRL Biebsie. And clad in summer-ready casualwear! In the minute-long clip, we get a glimpse at the moving parts that go into putting together a campaign. What we learned from the video is that this is no standard studio shoot with a white seamless backdrop.

Just when you've FINALLY convinced yourself that the next collaboration couldn't possibly get more exciting than the last, H&M reveals that the international retail giant is teaming up with Isabel Marant. The French designer is probably best known for her boon of a footwear innovation, the sneaker wedge, but that's only the tip of the iceberg in her fashion arsenal. Marant has a knack for infusing feminine bohemian elements with gritty urban edge and a keen eye for tailoring—the makings of every style savvy tomboy's dream closet.

Bikini Kill V Files

Kathleen Hanna of Bikini Kill performing in Hollywood in 1993.
Photo: Getty Images/VFiles

Even though we weren't technically old enough to appreciate Kathleen Hanna when she fronted riot grrrl punk rock group Bikini Kill in the '90s, we sure as HECK were able to get down with her electroclash band Le Tigre when we were well into our rebellious stage. (See: high school.) Kathleen was (and still is!) a hero to all us girls who felt like we didn't fit in and empowered us to be the strong ladies we are today, so when we heard that Bikini Kill teamed up with VFiles for an exclusive capsule collection, we pretty much flipped out. The four-piece line features a remake of Kathleen's iconic "Kill Me" T-shirt dress ($75), which she wore onstage in 1993. She said, "The point of the 'Kill Me' dress is to raise questions about violence against women and, specifically, what constitutes a woman 'asking for it?' If she gets drunk at a party? Calls a guy a jerk? Wears a dress that says 'KILL ME' on it? It also states the obvious, whether you wear a dress that says 'KILL ME' on it or not, as a woman you always have a bullseye on your chest."

Rihanna wears a 'Na$ty' sweatshirt while out in Belgium.
Photo: Splash News/ MISBHV

It's a good thing that you can never have too many basic grey crewnecks in your closet because Rihanna just convinced us that we need to add YET ANOTHER one to our already overflowing collection. Sigh. But unlike some of RiRi's other outfits, this is a key piece we can actually afford! The pop star was spotted out in Belgium earlier this week (shortly after having dinner with Azzedine Alaia ...what?!) wearing a heather gray sweatshirt emblazoned with the word "Na$ty" across the chest. The top was the perfect cool, casual complement to her black miniskirt and strappy two-toned flats, and it's great news for the rest of us, because we've just tracked down where you can nab it for yourself.
