Taylor Swift and her brand new, special edition Keds.

First things first: We've been listening to Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble," the latest single from her upcoming album Red, on repeat in the most serious way ever since it was released. We might need an intervention soon, we'll let you know. To put it lightly, we are REALLY excited to hear the full album, and have October 22nd circled on our calendars (in red, duh). We also have another way to celebrate the release now, thanks to our favorite sneakers, Keds. The classic footwear brand announced this morning that they are signing Taylor for a three year collaborative deal, as they re-launch their brand as a women's only label. We've been wearing pair after pair of white Keds' Champions into the ground for years (although not that many pairs, they last a long time given the abuse we put them through), as have some of our fashion icons (most notably Sleigh Bells singer Alexis Krauss), but we might just have to switch up our color preference now that we've seen the first pair Taylor is coming out with. The sneaks, which are being released on the same day as her record, are, you guessed it, red!

Das Racist

Das Racist for Moss.
Photo: Courtesy of Moss New York's Facebook

Putting Das Racist in a streetwear campaign, let alone one governed by as much New York heart and tongue-in-cheek humor as Moss, is SUCH a good idea. It's the kind of perfect match that we really wish we had thought of ourselves. *princess waves goodbye to the missed opportunity* Heems and Dap (no Kool A.D. this time *sheds single tear*) star in the fall/winter lookbook (which, BTW, was shot entirely on an iPhone 5 in INSTAGRAM) walking around NYC, reenacting Grant Wood's "American Gothic", and exploring park foliage. And they do it all while wearing hyper-colorized, hyper-patterned tees, crewneck sweatshirts, and varsity jackets from Moss's most recent collection most of which you can actually cop RIGHT NOW (or at the very least, pre-order)!

With fewer than three weeks to go, the countdown to Halloween is officially ON. This tick-tock time crunch plus the pressure of churning out an epic, unforgettable and pop culture-relevant costume means you'd better get started stat. If you're still looking for outfit ideas, ahem, may we suggest PSY? He's only the biggest YouTube superstar since, like, forever, and basically exploded the internet this summer with "Gangnam Style." Considering we've already dissected the music video look by look, that makes the costume hunting EVEN easier. And with our group costume ideas inspired by each of the ridiculous characters in the clip, all you need to do now is grab your best friends and start plotting. It's SO easy, you'll even have time to learn his dance moves before the big night. Let's do this!

Who better to start off with than the man himself?! Whoever's lucky enough to nab PSY's action-ready ensemble has to be prepared to give MAJOR face, rock the dance moves like no other, and have the singer's swanky "I know I'm hot" saunter down (after all, with great power comes great responsibility...). Here PSY's dressed in his baby blue tuxedo jacket, black pants, bowtie and shades. He's working a slick dress shirt underneath all this, but if you don't feel like investing in one yourself (or raiding your dad's closet), a basic white tee will do. Replicate PSY's outfit with a light blue blazer, black skinny jeans, a bow tie, and some round sunglasses. Now all you need to do is perfect those facial expressions...

Cher Lloyd wearing Cheap Monday in New York City.
Photo: Getty Images/ via I Don't Like Mondays

Judging from her fashion-centric music videos and rad street style, Cher Lloyd is a PRO at making the sidewalk her very own personal runway. Just this week the U.K. songbird was spotted out and about in New York City rocking black and white ombre jeans, otherwise known as one of this season's most daring trends. While ombre denim has been a hit at Fashion Week the past few seasons at shows like Dries Van Noten and Balmain, the look hasn't gained quite as much fast-fashion momentum off the catwalk...until now, that is. Much of this newfound street cred goes to Cheap Monday, the denim label whose Second Skin Faded Black jeans are just $90. Cher Lloyd's clearly a fan, and she looks so good in the style that she miiiiight just convince us to hop on the ombre denim train, too. Check out more faded denim looks below!

Taylor Swift Cat shoes

Taylor Swift loves her Charlotte Olympia cat shoes.
Photo: Splash News/Getty

Oh how we long for a pair of Charlotte Olympia cat flats. Oh how we need little whiskers adorning our toes, how we need a pink nose upon our feet. How can something so silly feel so essential? Maybe it's our well-hidden but omnipresent cat lady tendencies, or maybe it's just that they're freaking cute. You know who agrees with us? Taylor Swift. The pretty young thing has been seen sporting felines on her feet all over the world, and she's thoroughly convinced us that not only are these super cute shoes, well, super cute, but they're also totally practical. From wearing them out and about to bike riding through the streets of Paris while shooting her video for "Begin Again" off of her upcoming album Red (which comes out on October 22nd). We were totally taken over the edge, however, when Taylor showed up at the Radio One Teen Awards in London wearing a white a-line dress (not a surprise) with a pair of Charlotte Olympia satin cat face PUMPS. Now, we're all for a little whimsy and humor when it comes to your kicking around clothes, but on the red carpet? We were skeptical at first but it's a look that's really, seriously grown on it. We knew that the time had come to scour the internet for cat-face shoes of our own, both the exact same as Tay's and at other, more affordable price points.

Jay-Z

Jay-Z closed his sold out 8-show inauguration of Brooklyn's Barclays Center last night with a ROARING crowd and jaw-dropping surprise appearance from international superstar wife Beyonce. The Carters put the final stamp on the "Home of the Brooklyn Nets" with a heart-warming encore performance of "Young Forever," but before Jigga even stepped on stage for Sunday's final show, he made headlines by taking the subway to the concert. Naturally, Jay opted for some equally head-turning togs for the out-of-the-ordinary (well, for a legendary emcee, that is) transportation move: a Jean-Michel Basquiat t-shirt from MTV Style favorite Deer Dana.

Model Cara Delevingne in Dimepiece.
Photo: via Dimepiece Tumblr/ via Cara Delevingne's Twitter

Attention, internet! Allow us to introduce you to your new favorite model, Cara Delevingne. All those Harry Styles romance rumors aside, we've been obsessed with the 20-year-old Londoner ever since we spotted her in last season's Burberry campaign, and it's safe to say this girl is absolutely BLOWING UP. She walked in pretty much every single major show this season- Roberto Cavalli, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, you name it- AND is jumpstarting her acting career in the upcoming big screen remake of Anna Karenina. But what we really want to talk about is her killer personal style. She mixes Rick Owens's "Ima Read" hats (borrowed from the Zebra Katz song, naturally) with vintage "DARE" t-shirts and Jeremy Scott's The Simpsons sweater ....in other words, she's got the high-low thing down. But our favorite Cara outfit staple comes courtesy of L.A. streetwear brand Dimepiece, which she tops off with TONS of attitude.

Alright, are you guys ready for a House of Style double whammy?! Earlier this week we brought you Lacee Swan's model t-shirts featuring our new House of Style host Karlie Kloss. And now we've learned that Deer Dana has teamed up with Opening Ceremony on a new tee inspired by our original HOS girl, Cindy Crawford! **MIND EXPLOSION** Obviously, we need to have them both. And the fact that the Cindy version comes courtesy of one of our favorite NYC-based streetwear brands is just the icing on top of this veryyyy fashionable cake! Deer Dana's already rolled out tees splashed with images of Kanye, Justin Bieber, and Agyness Deyn, so it's about time the original 'supes gets her own. Along with Cindy, the Deer Dana x OC collection also includes Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista.... um, hello '90s reunion!

Happy Friday, y'all! If you're a big do-it-yourself-er and are in the market for a heavy-lifting Halloween costume you can get cracking on NOW, might we suggest going this year as Lady Gaga? Mother Monster is not only well-versed in the world of high fashion (who else would the House Versace trust to bring "THAT dress" back??), she's also a couture connoisseur, dreaming up more daily one-off ensembles than there are days in a year. Lady Gaga is the kind of pop star Halloween was made for, and we at MTV Style are obviously subscribers to her every move, making us the perfect fit to unpack her iconic looks for your All Hallows evening. Put your paws up, roll up your sleeves, and be prepared to get a little dirty. Your Mother Monster Halloween hack starts now!

1. MEAT DRESS REPRISE

Gaga made The Meat Dress a household name back at the 2010 Video Music Awards, which may make you think it's played. BUT Gagaloo brought the beef frock back this year for her current Born This Way Ball tour and in an updated (also, WAY easier to replicate) strapless version with a bullett belt! Get a similar look yourself by nabbing up a strapless cotton/jersey dress with a bit of a flared skirt. Print close-up photos of raw meat onto a TON of sheets of iron-on transfer paper. Follow the directions on the packaging and adhere the sheets to the dress - the paper will also make the flouncy skirt a little more rigid like Gaga's. Slip on a bullet belt at the waist of the dress, a pair of fishnet heels, and you're ready to go!

+ Dress: Cotton Spandex Jersey High-Waist Skirt ($34.00)
+ Belt: Bullet Belt ($5.99)
+ Iron-On Transfer Paper: Epson Iron-On Cool Peel Transfer Paper ($14.62)

karlie kloss t-shirtLacee Swan's "Karlie" t-shirt, inspired by 'House of Style' host Karlie Kloss.
Photo: via Lacee Swan's Etsy

WE.CAN'T.WAIT. You guys, House of Style officially launches SO SOON! Our brains are seriously going to be in Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls go-mode until we see them in action on October 15...and yes, our HOS anticipation is even sneaking into our closet, as well. Supermodel t-shirts have been popping up for the last couple years, with indie brands like Deer Dana and designers like Markus Lupfer rolling out tees splashed with our favorite flawless faces. But when we spotted Brooklyn artist and blogger Lacee Swan's take on the trend with the "Karlie," we HAD to get the back story on our HOS host-inspired top. According to Lacee, the idea behind her collection actually sprung from the '90s supermodel era, which, as you know, was TOTALLY the original HOS steez. "I grew up in the '90s in the time of Cindy, Naomi, and the rest of the models, and I was disappointed when that moment faded away," she remembers." I'm trying to bring that back through my T-shirt obsession."
