No boring concert tees for us.
Photo: Etsy

Justin Timberlake has been on my mind a lot. Sure, it's because we've been chronicling his "Suit & Tie" steeze and waiting not-so-patiently for The 20/20 Experience to drop, but let's be real, I (and I think I can speak for the rest of MTV Style when I say this) never really stopped thinking about JT, since all the way back in his N'SYNC days. Those frosted tips will forever hold a place in our 12-year-old hearts. In fact, I asked my best friend, whose bedroom wall was a veritable shrine to mid-to-late '90s teeny-boppers, whether she had a photo of JT up there (I could only specifically remember a giant picture of Paul Walker), and she replied with an unprintable, all caps portmanteau that I can't repeat here but involved "absolutely" and another, less polite word. Always the hunkiest of the boy band members, Justin was everyone's pre-teen fantasy boyfriend, and he hasn't really fallen out of favor as we've all grown up. While we may no longer decorate our bedroom walls with pictures of hot celebrities (I mean, I don't, but more power to you if you still do), there's something to be said about being a fan and showing it. Maybe a normal person would wait until Justin and Jay-Z come to their city and buy a concert tee, but that's so totally boring when the internet has a whole host of more creative ways you can show off your stan status.

'Teen Vogue' collection bralette and shorts.

A clothing line designed with the help of the editorial team at Teen Vogue?! Yes, please. Macy's announced today that they've teamed up with the glossy for an exclusive, fashion-forward juniors line, available in 150 Macy's stores and online TODAY. The spring collection, which includes everything from basics (like printed leggings and tank tops) to jumpsuits to bralettes (and literally everything in between) is priced between $20 and $60. In a comment to Women's Wear Daily, Teen Vogue editor-in-chief Amy Astley explained, "We've had terrific success with our branded mobile game, Teen Vogue Me Girl, and with our bedding collection, so apparel was the next logical step.” We think so too!

Supra spring breakers harmony korine

Supra x Harmony Korine's 'Spring Breakers' sneakers.
Photo: Via Supra

If you've seen the trailer for Spring Breakers as embarrassingly many times as we have (read: more than a dozen), then you're WELL AWARE that Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine spend about 90% of the movie in college girl-on-vacay- essentials like bikinis, tank tops, and sneakers. But even if you're not lucky enough to be hitting the beach anytime soon, that's ok— Supra's making sure that you can nab the Spring Breakers look right this second with its brand new style of kicks. The shoe company has joined forces with the film's director Harmony Korine on a limited-edition lowtop inspired by the flick...and judging from the collective gasp heard thoughtout the MTV Style office when we first spotted them, we haven't been THIS excited about a collab in a reallyyy long time.

Selena Gomez

Sure, Selena Gomez slinks down red carpet after red carpet in the highest of high fashion duds on the regular, but she's also a huge proponent of the affordable side of fashion. She often comes right out and says it herself, but her actions already speak volumes, designing and fronting her own Dream Out Loud line for KMart and racking up frequent flyer miles at Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters. Her outfit of choice for last night's Alliance for Children's Rights Dinner was no exception. Sel hit the red erm, printed carpet in UO.

Ryan Gosling Merch

Must. Have. Ryan. Gosling. Everything.
Photo: Courtesy of Etsy/Human/Society 6

Hi, friends! We're starting a weekly feature where we unleash our inner obsession for ALL to see. It's called "Stan Swag," and it works like this: We pick a celebrity/band/TV show/movie that we're OB-SESSED with, and we scour the internets to find the most amazing (or creepy!) merch to show off our true stan (stalker + fan = stan) side. Because, hey, there's nothing wrong with showing a heck of a lot of affection toward someone we've never met (and may never actually meet), right? Right.

We don't know a single girl that doesn't like Ryan Gosling. Heck, even most dudes can get behind Ryan's effortless street style, piercing blue eyes, and downright adorable sense of humor. Like, do we even need to explain this? Just look at this photo. LOOK AT IT. *convulses* There are no words. ANYWAY, hai, we're obsessed with Ryan Gosling, and we're ready to share it with the world. But let's face it, we are SO over the traditional movie poster tees or boring mugs, so we found some super cool pieces that'll show off your (and our) fandom in the freshest way possible. Disclaimer: Wearing these all at once may make you look like a crazy person. Ease into it, y'all. Nice 'n slow.

Vans Kenzo

Whether you're talking about snapbacks or sweatshirts, it's safe to say that everything Kenzo designers Humberto and Leon Carol Lim stamp with their splashy prints turns to gold. And although we're still swooning over the pair's recent Fall 2013 collection during Paris Fashion Week, we don't even have to wait until next season to score the brand's latest project. In fact, it's available next week! How's THAT for instant gratification, you guys? For the fourth time the label has teamed up with Vans on a capsule collection of sneakers stamped with their wildly colorful patterns, and they're SO cute, we're officially dubbing them the shoes of summer.

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber wears a Hype Means Nothing tee in London.
Photo: Splash News/Selfridges

Welp, looks like Justin Bieber is starting off his last teenage year, streamlining his wardrobe a little bit as he heads into his twenties. Perhaps we're speaking too soon and The Biebs will prove us horribly, horribly wrong with some wretched Pepto Bismol pink gas mask he's been saving up for when we least expect it, but for now, we're going to dole out some praise of Justin's latest casual London look. After having reportedly left his O2 audience waiting for upwards of two hours the night before, Bieber greeted fans from the balcony of his London hotel yesterday in a simple yet striking grayscale graphic tee and a black backwards snapback. We're not saying the "swaggy" ensemble and extra facetime made up for the major tardiness, but we just had to track down this tee nonetheless.

Cat Cape

would you wear this Cat Cape Kotatsu Blanker?
Photo: Courtesy of Japan Trend Shop

You'd think by now we'd be sartorially unshakable. Between Etsy eyelash jewelry and toilet paper roll rings on high fashion runways, you'd think we've seen it all. And then we stumble on something like this Cat Cape Kotatsu Blanket from Japan Trend Shop. I'll truncate it to "Cat Cape" when referring to it from here, but only for convenience, not because I'm positive it's a cape. By all of my previous understanding of what a cape is, this only kind of meets the mark. Where's the fastening at the neck? Why are there backpack straps? Why is she wearing it around the house (as opposed to say, flying through the air with superhuman strength)?

Odd Future

L-Boy in Odd Future's Spring/Summer 2013 lookbook.

Nothing makes me pine for spring (and summer!) harder than a short-sleeved button-up shirt covered in hot air balloons. Also, heart-shaped sunglasses, but those aren't actually part of the Odd Future collection. New England readers beware, you're in for some serious coast envy. The OFWGKTA hip-hop collective (which also maintains a rapidly growing streetwear line and shop based on Los Angeles' infamous Fairfax Avenue) has just released a brand spankin' new lookbook for the Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The photo series stars Lionel, Lucas, and more of OF's closest friends modeling OF's newest togs, from this here balloon woven shirt to the classic cat-emblazoned designs (like this Trash Wang tee) that we've grown to know and love.
