WHOA, HOLD UP...our brains just exploded from the amazing fashion flashback happening here right now. Yesterday we were just innocently cruising VFiles, looking for our Next Big Thing fix that WASN'T a fashion tee, sporty spandex, or a Hood By Air tank, and look what we found: an entire collection of goods inspired by X-Girl! If you know your House of Style stuff (and why wouldn't you?!), then you know that X-Girl was a '90s streetwear brand co-founded by Sonic Youth frontwoman Kim Gordon and her friend Daisy von Furth. As the sister store of NYC's X-Large, X-Girl made major waves in 1994 for its Sofia Coppola-produced guerrilla fashion show and have inspired us (and emerging designers) ever since. So when it comes to these old-meets-new styles of t-shirts, key chains, and backpacks, who better to model the VFiles X-Girl collection than THE reigning teenage queen of '90s nostalgia herself, Tavi Gevinson?

DV8 by Dolce Vita

DV8 by Dolce Vita's "Gypsie" pump.
Photo: Courtesy of Nordstrom

Happy humpday, everybody! For your weekly Wednesday helping of weird, I present to you: DV8 by Dolce Vita's "Gypsie" pump. Part high-heeled Mary-Jane, part epic '90s flatform, and a dash of peeptoe, this Frankenshoe, brought to our attention courtesy of our friends at The Frisky and Incredible Things, is (in a word) confusing. The Mary-Jane and peeptoe steez evoke demure sweetness but that whopper of an inverted wedge is unmistakably head-turning and even a little badass. It's a (apologies in advance) walking contradiction! *ba dum TSHHHH* On top of trying to define this shoe's direct line of heritage, we want to know if you, dear readers, would wear it.

A$AP Rocky Oki-Ni

A$AP Rocky for Oki-Ni.

Ever since A$AP Rocky stopped by MTV to talk fashion, our feelings for him have grown from straight-up crushin' to hardcore obsessed. We love the rapper for his fascination with designers and keen sense for couture, but when he stopped by menswear retailer Oki-Ni in London recently, he showed off a completely different side of his fashion knowledge—styling! Oki-Ni said, "As fans of his music will know, Raf Simons and Rick Owens are usually what he's dressed in, but on his recent visit to London we invited the New York rapper to try out a selection of other Oki-Ni brands including new SS13 pieces from Margiela, Kenzo and Paul Smith." Basically, A$AP styled and starred in his own shoot for the fashion retailer, and you can buy all his outfits directly on the site. AWESOME. While lounging in a bathtub (haaay) A$AP sports a Raf Simons floral top and black drop-crotch Rick Owens drawstring pants. In another look, he mixes prints by pairing a Maison Martin Margiela dotted shirt under a graphic Kenzo sweater. *fans self*

This weekend, Pyrex Vision caught another major milestone for its early sophomore season. The budding line, helmed by Kanye West's style consultant Virgil Abloh, launched an exhibit at legendary Paris store Colette alongside the release of the All Gone book's 2012 edition. The event drew a select but sizable crowd including Yeezy himself and Theophilus London to the French boutique to celebrate the latest in stylish streetwear.

Paper Crown Spring 2013

Looks from Lauren Conrad's spring 2013 Paper Crown collection.

Lauren Conrad has been busy! (What else is new, right?) Last year alone, the ex-Hillsie launched a video craft series, designed an eco-friendly beauty and travel accessories line, released another book, and continued her oh-so-popular LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls collection. But, most recently, LC debuted the spring 2013 lookbook from her personal "passion project" clothing line Paper Crown, and, dang, girl has come a long way! We're loving the fresh and feminine (with a touch of nautical) vibe from all her pieces, which include a peony-print blouse and sky blue shorts; a breezy blue and white striped maxi dress; and a sheer mint blouse and champagne sequin skirt.

Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, Vanessa Hudgens, Rachel Korine

A still from the "Spring Breakers" trailer.

After almost a YEAR of built-up anticipation via paparazzi shots and Instagram snaps, we're finally getting to see some footage from Harmony Korine's Spring Breakers. We've pulled ourselves out of the *deeeeep inhale and then monstrous yawn* daybreak hours, the legendary director is finally letting us see the trailer. As we imagined from the teaser photos of the girls getting arrested and wielding guns and ski masks, the movie's PYT stars Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, Vanessa Hudgens, and Rachel Korine unfurl before your eyes into gritty, grimey characters like you've never seen them before.

Riff Raff-channeling James Franco makes his grand entrance just before the minute mark and Gucci Mane follows soon after. While we still have yet to see how rumored co-star Heather Morris will play out in this story, the trailer is simultaneously tiding us over and amping up our excitement for the movie's official release. Mark your calendars, y'all: Spring Breakers opens March 22 in New York and Los Angeles and nationwide on March 29.

On the inescapable (for us, anyway) style side of things, the trailer is also helping us beat the winter blahs with its Spring Break wardrobe realness. We all agreed that shopping for swimsuits in January was pushing the calendar a little bit, but we did track down some of the movie's style essentials so you can cop the Spring Breakers look now. You're welcome!

Topshop mom jeans

Would you wear Topshop's Mom Jeans?
Photo: Topshop

Recognize these bad boys? This mid-rise inseam? This dull, uniformly blue denim wash on the left or the crosshatch bleach steez on the right? This drumstick leg-inducing silhouette? This universally unflattering tapered cut? Hug your skinny jeans tight and kiss them goodnight, ladies. Topshop appears to be under the impression that mom jeans are back and trending for Spring/Summer 2013. We've seen and gut-reaction scoffed at plenty of rising trends — leather overalls, melting tights, etc. — but can usually parse out a reason someone might think they're a good idea. That's because these things are usually either 100 percent new ideas or at the very least refreshed versions of older trends. The mom jeans Topshop is selling are neither of those things. Make no mistake, y'all. This is a cautionary tale. A web-based, editorial "POUND THE ALARM" warning you, the presumably ugly-butt-fearing public, against The Return of the Mom Jean.

Beyonce Wedding Dress

OK, we may not be getting married anytime soon, but OMG—we need to discuss how Beyonce's (fake) wedding dress is currently for sale on the internets. The strapless Baracci stunner, which was featured in her "Best Thing I Never Had" music video, costs $30,000 (which is sort of a steal considering it retails for $85,000) on PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com. The off white and gold ball gown (which is a size 4) features a hand-draped beaded and embroidered French lace bodice with a double layer French silk skirt. The sweetheart corset also includes 3D gold flowers (wut) and hand sewn Swarovski pendants and crystals. Whew!

Leather Snapback

Rihanna, Kat Graham, Ciara and Brandy sporting leather snapbacks.
Photo: Getty Images

Y'all already know how much we love snapbacks, but we can't stop spotting a new version of our ol' go-to accessory—the leather snapback. Not only is this cap an amazing homage to late '80s/early '90s fashion (um, haiii Janet Jackson in Rhythm Nation), but it's also totally warm (and practical!) option for those blustery winter days. Now if you're thinking, "Wha? Are you telling me a leather baseball cap is back in style?" The answer, friends, is yes. And we have proof! Rihanna, Kat Graham, Ciara and Brandy all sported leather caps within the past year and looked TOTALLY. KILLER. while doing so. Ri sizzled in a snapback with a snake on it (!!!) while performing in London last summer; Kat went grunge in a Nirvana tee and patent leather Alife cap last spring; Ciara stole the spotlight in a leather cap onstage in December; and Brandy oozed casual-cool style while spotted in the street in October.

Eyelash Jewelry

Would you wear eyelash jewelry?
Photo: Courtesy of EyelashJewelry's Etsy Shop

You guys know about false eyelashes. Sets of fluttering faux hairs that you can glue to your lids to amplify your peepers. Celebs wear them up and down red carpets for glamorous doe eyes or even just to spice up a formerly staid beauty look. They come in basic black or sometimes other colors or even with embellishments. But have you ever heard of eyelash jewelry? We hadn't until our friends at Incredible Things enlightened us to this Eyelash Jewelry Etsy shop which is chock FULL of the ocular ornaments, and honestly, we're not sure what to do with that information now.
