Ashlee Simpson teams up with her sister/billion dollar fashion empire god Jessica in creating a line of rocker-inspired clothing for teens. The tween apparel will be an extension of the Jessica Simpson Collection brand Ashlee will co-create to inspire "young girls to express their personalities and creativity through fashion." GIRL POWER! {Just Jared}

• The biggest "a-duhhhhhh" of the week: Kanye West is launching a high-end fashion collection. 'Ye is setting up shop in Paris to work on a line for both men AND women, which is not-at-all surprising considering he himself has been spotted sporting some womenswear himself. {Telegraph}

• Head of Yves Saint Laurent fashion house Stefano Pilati admitted that when it comes to his critics he's "very scared" of bloggers. While he's fascinated by the medium in which they communicate, he feels it's only a "one-way dialogue." 'KAY, STEFANO. LEAVE US A COMMENT THEN. We'll talk. *evil cackle* {Fashionista}

• Three OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD gorgeous plus-size models grace Vogue Italia's June 2011 cover. The three beauties — Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine, and Robyn Lawley — look devastatingly sultry clad in nothing but their bra and undies. HOT! {Fashionologie}

• WHO'S OBSESSED WITH NAIL ART? *waves hand wildly* We are. Like, a lot. This ASOS music issue nail art is drool-worthy, and we never even USE that term. But spittle actually began to form at the corner of our mouths after seeing these, so we had to. {Fashionista}

• Also, if those looks are too cray cray for you, try one of Rachel Zoe's summer nail picks! We LOVE the coral-y Givenchy shellac the most. How about you? {Styleist}

Ke$ha at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards on May 22.
Photo: Getty Images

Ke$ha dished out her top fashion favorites to SPIN.com. Her favorite store? West Coast thrift shop Out of the Closet. Favorite piece of clothing? A vintage Guns N’ Roses tee. Favorite items on tour? Blue lipstick. Oh, and of course glitter! {Spin}

Topshop offered Courtney Love a chance to design a collection for the London fashion chain, but Courtney refused saying she didn’t want her line "in the basement in Topshop on Oxford Circus." She’d rather have her collection appear in Browns or Selfridges. OK, relax C. Love. {Elle}

Kate Middleton's selling power is skyrocketing compared with Michelle Obama's. While both ladies are known for mixing high and low items, Kate increased Reiss' site traffic 500 percent after she was spotted in their bandage dress, and after Michelle wore head-to-toe J. Crew on The Tonight Show, the site traffic increased only 64 percent. Hmmm... math. {Fashionista}

• CFDA Lifetime Achievement award honoree Marc Jacobs reveals that his 1993 grunge collection was the most liberating of his life because it was "about a dismissal of everything that one was told was beautiful, correct, glamorous, sexy." (Ed note: And everyone who is old enough to remember all his GLORIOUS work immediately after his Perry Ellis tenure concurs heartily with maybe a tear in each eye.) {Telegraph}

Lady Gaga's Polaroid collection FINALLY debuts. The portable printer creates snapshots from any cellular phone, so you can document your daily outfits in a snap. {Oh No They Didn't!}

Naomi Campbell in Cannes, France, on May 16.
Photo: Getty Images

• Supermodel Naomi Campbell took legal action against Cadbury after they launched a chocolate bar campaign with the slogan "Move over Naomi, there's a new diva in town." Naomi stated the ad is "insulting and hurtful," and to be described as chocolate is upsetting not just for her, but all black women and black people. {Vogue UK}

• The fans have spoken! MTV’s own Clutch blog posted a poll last week on who should play Daria in a live-action movie, and after more than 11,000 votes, Aubrey Plaza was chosen! We couldn't think of ANYONE that could rock plastic circle glasses and a forest green blazer more perfectly. {MTV Clutch}

• You'd think when celebs aren't on the red carpet, they'd stick to practical, off-camera ensembles, but that certainly isn't the case! Lady Gaga grabbed coffee in sky-high Louboutin pumps, fishnets, and a Born This Way tee; Katie Holmes headed to the beach in heels that sunk into the sand; Gavin Rossdale played in waves in full-out skinny jeans; and Victoria Beckham played with her kids in 5-inch boots. {Coco Perez} {Telegraph}

• It’s heeerreee! The 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards nominees and honorees have been announced. Check out the list to see if your favorite designers made the cut. {CFDA}

Jersey Shore star Snooki got into a fender bender with a police car (eep!) while driving around in Florence, Italy, yesterday. Although we 100% blame this crash on Snooki's chain sunglasses, which OBVIOUSLY blocked her peripheral vision. We have faith in your driving skills, Snooks! {Radar}

MAC cosmetics paired up with some über-famous bloggers to launch a collection inspired by the ladies themselves! We're just waiting for MAC to name a lip glass after MTV Style. Yeah, we'll just, you know, wait here. {Beauty High}

Beyoncé performs on 'American Idol' on May 25.
Photo: Getty Images

• Last night's American Idol finale brought out THE BIGGEST vocal powerhouses (Ms. Beyoncé and Ms. Lady Gaga, of course) complete with uh-mazing performance outfits. Beyoncé NAILED IT in a to-die-for Zac Posen platinum gown while debuting her new single “1+1” and danced to “Crazy In Love” in a Swarovski crystal-encrusted Ralph & Russo dress. Lady Gaga wore a triangular headpiece replete with studs and loose chains, which sort of reminds us of the Tree of Souls from Avatar. Seriously, Google it. {Vulture}

• On her final show ever (*sniff sniff*), Oprah signed off in a custom coral L'Wren Scott dress with a dip-dyed chiffon belt. We think this fresh, form-fitting dress couldn't be more perfect for her last goodbye. The bright color shows optimism for what lies ahead, and HEY! Don't cry! QUICK, look at these photos of doggies in scarves saying inspirational quotes from her show! {Styleist}

• The Savannah College of Art and Design lined an ENTIRE reception hall with Manolo Blahnik shoe boxes. Let's all ogle at this breathtaking photo, shall we? {Racked}

Everyone knows Kim Kardashian is engaged to basketball star Kris Humphries, BUT HAVE YOU SEEN HER RING? It's 20.5 carats. Yes, you read that right. Kris designed the 20-plus-carat ring with jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, aaaaaaand we're officially giving up on life. {Oh No They Didn't!}

Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian on Feb. 18.
Photo: Getty Images

• The internet is BLOWING UP about the news that Kim Kardashian is now engaged to New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries. Word is that Kris proposed at home and skipped popping the question in favor of spelling it in rose petals (AWW!). No word yet on whether the couple will follow in Khloe and Lamar's footsteps with a joint fragrance launch, (especially given Kim just released her newest one this month). One thing for sure, that secures at LEAST one more butt in the seats at the Nets Brooklyn arena next season. {PopEater}

• Despite some mumblings about Michelle Obama's outfit of choice for meeting Prince William and Kate Middleton yesterday, she hit an undeniable home run in a gorgeous ivory gown by American designer Tom Ford at Buckingham Palace. Take special note of the first lady's over-the-elbow gloves, which perfectly highlight her INCREDIBZ arms. Seriously, what's a girl gotta to do to get her trainer's number?? {Fashionista}

• Like one of those cool things at science museums that let you stick your hand in a bed of dull pins to make a pretty little imprint sculpture, accessories designer Lulu Guiness's 'Be A Pin Up' installation opened for Clerkenwell Design Week yesterday. The exhibit is reminiscent of the forgotten party favorite, and it features a GIGANTIC FULL-BODY-SIZE pin sculpture. Oh, and if your sculpture is reeeally good, you can win some free swag. {Dazed Digital}

Yves Saint Laurent snaps back in the development from the legal battle with Christian Louboutin's exclusive use of the red sole with some historical schooling. We are officially all embroiled in the crossfire of a drawn-out fashion version of You Got Served {Washington Post}

• It looks like nobody bought the dress that Lady Gaga wore for the finale of the Fall 2011 Mugler show, so Gilt Groupe ended the Gaga-stravaganza without a buyer for the frock. While we aren't sure what happens now, we can wonder and hope and email Gilt Groupe a note with the MTV Style office address and a winky emoticon. {NYMag}

Kristin Cavallari at a Kiehl's benefit on April 7.
Photo: Getty Images

• Our beloved Hillzie Kristin Cavallari sat down with Perez Hilton to talk about her fast-selling shoe she designed for ShoeDazzle.com. All proceeds go to charity, but HURRY! She said she's already sold-out of sizes 6, 7, and 8. {Coco Perez}

• An unaired sketch of Justin Timberlake dressed as Mozart on "SNL" surfaced on the interwebs in which he mocks himself for, erm, not getting any awards for The Social Network and even the Biebs himself. Yowza. {Jezebel}

Lady Gaga graciously greeted her fans in New York in a barely there one-piece jumpsuit, super high ponytail, and super-crazy-awesome dramatic black eyeliner makeup. The best part? Her studded cutoff denim vest that reads "Born This Way." Can I haz one plz? {Washington Post}

Balmain is launching a more affordable clothing collection called Pierre Balmain, named after the house's founder. The men's and women's line will be out in September and is geared toward a younger range of buyers. Cue me silently weeping at my desk in joy. {Fashionologie}

Kate Middleton looked downright CHIC when she met with the Obamas in Buckingham Palace. But who would have known that the new Duchess of Cambridge wore a structured nude bandage Reiss dress that was only $340?! Reiss said the dress was still available to purchase, but currently their site is down for maintenance. {Telegraph}

Naomi Campbell at the amFAR Gala in France on May 19.
Photo: Getty Images

• Supermodel Naomi Campbell gathered her model friends to star in a fashion-inspired Duran Duran music video! The project is the brainchild of lead singer Simon Le Bon's wife (and model!), Yasmin Le Bon. Naomi and her model army are heading to the south of France this week to begin filming. {Modelinia}

• Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' daughter, Suri Cruise, was spotted sporting 2-inch strappy sandals while boarding a private plane. If she's wearing 2-inch heels at 5 years old, does this mean she'll be wearing 4-inch heels when she's 10? {Styleite}

Lady Gaga's Born This Way album booklet art is here! In the photos, Mother Monster displays her bra collection and sports acid wash jeans with no shirt. We're not even SURE what's happening in the other photos (taking a bath in paint? Rolling around in glue?), but she looks DANG good doing it. {Oh No They Didn't!}

Glee's Darren Criss models eight nontraditional (and super duper adorable) groomsmen outfits in this month's GQ magazine. Our favorite miggghhttt be the blue and white pinstripe suit with the suspenders and bow tie, but it's hard not to love them all! {Coco Perez}

• Remember the mom who was injecting her 8-year-old daughter with Botox? Well, turns out she was LYING, and The Sun newspaper paid her to tell the story. Yipes. {The Cut}

Ralph Lauren told Oprah that when it came to designing his daughter Dylan's wedding dress, "nothing was perfect." After a few drafts Ralph finally got the dress right—so right in fact, Dylan said she never wants to take it off. {People StyleWatch}

• Add some pep in your step by studding your sneakers! To DIY this look, just buy some Converse high-tops and studs, bust out those pliers, and get to work! {Glamour}

• Every season there's "that dress" that dons every mag cover. For spring, it's the lacy white Dolce & Gabbana frock, which has already appeared on Greek Vogue, Spanish Vogue, Paris Vogue, and German Vogue. Penelope Cruz also sported Dolce & Gabbana on this month's American Vogue, but it's not the exact same dress. {The Cut}

Vanessa Hudgens at the MyHabit.com launch in New York on May 18.
Photo: Getty Images

• Actress Vanessa Hudgens admits that even though she's not SUPER into Twitter and other social media ("I don’t want to tell people what I'm doing every second"), she wants to launch a blog on her Facebook page. V-Hudge would write about fashion and beauty in a "lifestyle" type blog. Bring it. {Just Jared}

• Soccer star/resident English hottie David Beckham and business partner Simon Fuller plan to launch a men's bodywear line. David already has two successful fragrances under his belt, and judging by those LEGENDARY Emporio Armani underwear ads he's done, we think he's definitely in the right market. Let's just hope he's modeling his own knickers. {Fashionista}

• If you like Pirates of the Caribbean, you're going to freaking LOVE this collab nOir jewelry did with the Disney picture! Think brushed silver metal two-finger rings with old-timey ships on them and TONS AND TONS of skulls and swords. Somehow they even managed to make dead fish look cool. Don't question it. {Nitrolicious}

Nicole Richie has a pretty simple design philosophy when it comes to her two lines Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960: She makes what she wants! She plans on releasing her first handbag collection this fall as well as continuing to make comfortable shoes "no matter how high the heels are." Check out what else she has to say about her new collection! {People StyleWatch}

• Get the first look at the Prabal Gurung for J. Crew collaboration! We're loving the huge bows exploding all over this collection—on a blazer lapel, on a beige silk blouse, and on a chic halter dress. These ain't your mom's clothes, that's for sure. {The Cut}

Yves Saint Laurent has decided to, erm, expand their label by making cigarettes. Of course the gold and black boxes are just as chic as the model smoking the cigs, but we're not into promoting unhealthy habits. Let's keep the fashion houses focused on fashion, shall we? {Refinery 29}

Kate Moss at the Mango collection launch in Paris on May 17.
Photo: Getty Images

• The typically tight-lipped mega supermodel Kate Moss opened up about a partnership with fashion retailer Mango and Terry Richardson. They produced a special video that aired last night in Paris, but it has yet to surface on the web. Until then, you can read about how much she likes jam and Kate Middleton. {Fashionista}

• Fashion icon/actress/coolest person ever Tilda Swinton rocks a SERIOUS bowl cut in her latest Pringle ads. And, no, unfortunately we don't mean the "Once you pop, the fun don't stop" chips, Pringle of Scotland is actually a superhigh fashion (aka super expensive) clothing line that we now want EVERYTHING from. Dang it, Tilda. {HuffPost Style}

• 17-year-old model Lindsey Wixson just couldn't keep upright at Naomi Campbell's charity fashion show. She wasn't the only model that stumbled that evening, but you can watch her fall not once, twice, but three times—in a row—until an audience member tried to help her out. Luckily, no one cried... except maybe the dress' designer. {The Cut}

• Something's in the water, y'all. First Hailee Steinfeld is named the new face of Miu Miu, and now 14-year-old Chloë Moretz sports a peach ruffled top and skirt by the same designer. Is Miu Miu starting a tween fashion cult? {Coco Perez}

Carolina Herrera, Christian Siriano, Erin Fetherston, Nicole Miller, Narciso Rodriguez, and a BAJILLION other designers sketched their fantasy opera costumes! While the proceeds from the sketches benefit the New York City Opera, we're just into the fact that this is some SERIOUSLY breathtaking artwork. {The Cut}

• Juuuust when we were getting into animal print nails, of COURSE a manicurist had to step it up a notch. You can get an actual snakeskin gel manicure if you have $300 and 2 hours to spare. Um, we'll stick to the fake stuff, thanks. {Coco Perez}

• Hot summer weather is around the corner, so InStyle compiled tons of supercute (and sexy!) dresses for under $100. Our fave? The printed dress from—gasp—Delia's! {InStyle}

Photo: Getty Images

• Rising style star Hailee Steinfeld has been named the new face of Miu Miu! The 14-year-old follows in the footsteps of model Lindsey Wixson for this year's fall campaign. Apparently the Prada fam fell in love with Hailee after seeing her in their to-die-for striped dress at the SAGs. The rest is history! {The Cut}

Beyoncé's latest and super highly anticipated been-waiting-for-this-FOREVS "Run The World (Girls)" music video will premiere on American Idol tomorrow night, May 18. Joe Jonas has officially begun his solo career! The former Jonas Brother released the artwork for his first-ever single called "See No More." But, um, Joe, you look hot in your white sleeveless T-shirt, and we WANT to see more, thank you, please. {Just Jared}

Kim Kardashian scores an extra $40 million investment for her footwear and accessories site ShoeDazzle.com. Kim and her investors plan to expand the site into new categories and launch it internationally. You know, because taking over the United States wasn't enough. {WWD}

• London's new club kids are giving the original New York nightlife partygoers a run for their money. Their INSANE outfits (think full body glitter and bright face paint, stuffed-animal ensembles, and LOTS of shiny metallic spandex) are beautifully documented over the past decade by Oggy Yordanov in the book New Club Kids: London Party Fashion in the Noughties. {T Magazine}

• Plus size model Tara Lynn takes over the H&M summer 2011 collection campaign in fierce leopard one-piece bath suits and sheer printed cover-ups. The looks are from H&M's Big Is Beautiful collection, which Tara looks STUNNING in. {Coco Perez}
