Kristin Cavallari and Kim Kardashian stepped out in the season's hottest color — beige — when they both picked a nude dress by British designer Hannah Marshall (originally $1,275, but now sold out) for recent events. Kim Kardashian wore the fitted, leather top and pleated skirt shift to a magazine party in Hollywood, completing the look with a gold bow buckle belt and metallic sandals. Earlier in the summer, Kristin Cavallari of The Hills wore the frock sans belt, accessorizing only with white sandals and a python clutch by Kara Ross. Both ladies looked beautiful in beige, but we think Kim Kardashian takes this style matchup. Her belt gave the dress a great finishing touch, and we loved how her bold, gold earrings mixed with the nude color. But what do you think?

Sheer gloss had it's time to shine this summer. But, for fall, it's all about a bolder approach. The runways were awash with opaque fuchsias and oranges, and celebs — from Blake Lively to Nicki Minaj — are swiping richer shades onto their pouts to make a statement without saying a word. Experts agree: "This fall's hottest hues range from vibrant reds to soft neutrals," says makeup artist Sonia Kashuk. "We're seeing nudes with depth and dimension to highlight the face rather than mute the lips," adds Jason Garner, national makeup artist for DuWop. "Plus, there's this return of Old Hollywood with dramatic red lips re-emerging as a major trend," he says. Give yourself an instant makeover by puckering up to one of these top fall trends. Capes aren't just for Count Dracula. Some of our favorite celebrities have been spotted crusading around town in the cute coat alternative. Last week, VV Brown wore hers superhero-style at the Black Girls Rock Awards. Lily Allen's Louise Vuitton sweater/poncho looked chic teamed with black tights and a red handbag at London Fashion Week last month. Janelle Monáe's cape-on-stage ritual — here she is at Keep A Child Alive's annual gala on Sept. 30 — is an ode to one of her idols, James Brown, she says. Want a cape yourself? See below for some great cape ideas.

Christina Milian, Ciara, and Taylor Momsen all rock the thigh-high boots.
Photo: Getty Images

Boots are inching their way above the knee this season, as witnessed by some of our favorite leggy stars. Christina Milian wore a beige pair with snake skin-patterned tights and a tan cropped jacket at Los Angeles Fashion WeekCiara clipped her black leather boots to a sexy mini corset dress (smart move!) during New York Fashion Week. And Taylor Momsen stuck with her signature grunge look by teaming her tough footwear with gray sweater layers on the set of Gossip Girl. To ace this style, keep your boots in a neutral shade (steer clear of fire engine red or neon green) and make sure they complement something in your outfit — your top, your jacket, or your minidress. For the full effect, show off the entire boot — from toe to thigh. Find out how to get the look below.

AJ Michalka on Sept. 30, Heather Morris on Aug. 29, and Halle Berry on Oct. 16.
Photo: Getty Images

AJ Michalka, Halle Berry, and Heather Morris proved all that glitters is gold when all three ladies wore sparkly dresses for recent red carpet events. In September, AJ Michalka went for a sleeveless, embellished gold dress that had a basic scoop neckline for the premiere of Secretariat, and she paired it with satin, champagne-colored pumps. Halle Berry attended a Spike TV event last week in a strapless Reem Acra shift that was encrusted with huge sequin pieces and wore gold Christian Louboutin peep-toe pumps to match. Meanwhile, Glee star Heather Morris chose a floor-length gown by Ina Soltani for the Emmy Awards in August. The dramatic column dress was one of our favorites of the awards show, and we love how Heather kept her accessories simple with a bracelet by Kwiat. Want to glitter in your own gold dress? Find out how below.

AJ Michalka, Kat Von D, Janelle Monae, and Emily Blunt.

As the temps start to drop, an army of stars are stepping out in cadet-style toppers. Think Sgt. Pepper, Little Drummer Boy, the French Revolution, and Michael Jackson circa Thriller and you'll catch our drift. AJ Michalka teamed her belly-baring jacket by Kardashians by Bebe with gray jeggings and black leather boots, while Kat Von D wore a black and gold, thigh-length jacket to the Jackass 3D premiere on Wednesday. Singer Janelle Monae sparkled in a blinged out, double-breasted button-down at the ASCAP Awards this summer, and Emily Blunt hit the streets of London in a versatile tan topper. Want to get an admiral jacket of your own? Find out how below.

From left: Stephanie Pratt on August 5, Audrina Patridge on October 13, Kristin Cavallari on September 13.

The Hills ladies love their little black dresses! The best part about this wardrobe must-have is how there are multiple ways to wear it. Stephanie Pratt took the sheer approach when she wore a see-through black dress from Topshop to the Los Angeles premiere of Middle Men (now sold out). Earlier this week, Audrina Patridge went for a more conservative look in a Stanton James mini dress, Brian Atwood peep-toe pumps, and a clutch by Kara Ross. And Kristin Cavallari showed off her shoulders in a strapless style by Betsey Johnson, which she wore for the designer's fashion show in September (now online, $278, BetseyJohnson.com). So who has the best LBD? Of these three, we'd only want to copy one — Audrina's! Her look is so versatile and would work in any fashion situation, from the red carpet to work. But what do you think?

Leopard is one of the hottest trends for fall. Everyone from Hilary Duff to Rachel Bilson to Keri Hilson is wearing leopard print items on pretty much everything ... dresses, shoes, pants, bags, and beyond. That's why we're showing you how to leopard-ize every aspect of your outfit, inspired by the leopard-print styles worn by celebrities. Read on for tips on how to welcome leopard into your closet.

+ LONG-SLEEVE SHORT DRESSES

As far as clothes go, we love the look of short leopard dresses, as seen on Chloë Sevigny at HBO’s post-Emmy party in Los Angeles. Convert a party-style long-sleeve minidress for work or school by pairing it with thick wool tights. And if you dig Chloë's look — her dress was by Lanvin — then Oasis' Leopard Print Dress is the perfect scoop neck style ($87.43, Debenhams.com).

+ SHORT MINIDRESSES

Left: Keri Hilson on July 3. Right: Leopard Print Bandeau Dress by Motel.

Keri Hilson wore a sexier blue minidress by Dolce & Gabbana. To score her look, try Motel's Leopard Print Bandeau Dress is equal parts strapless and sultry ($50.55, Asos.com).

+ SHIRTS

Keri Hilson loves leopard! She was also spotted wearing a leopard top to the So Kodak launch in New York. If you crave an oversize leopard shirt, try one of these three-quarter options by T-Bags ($170, net-a-porter.com) and Mango ($63.86, Asos.com).

+ LONG GOWNS

Left: Rachel Bilson on Sept. 29, Kylie Minogue on Aug. 28. Right: Closet Leopard Print Maxi Dress by Dorothy Perkins.

The animal print looks great on gowns, too. Just check out how well Rachel Bilson rocked Roberto Cavalli at the designer’s 40th Anniversary Party in Paris, while Kylie Minogue went with her animal instincts, wearing a strapless Dolce & Gabbana gown to a party in Water Mill, N.Y. For a fall-friendly take on these long leopard gowns, try the Closet Leopard Print Maxi Dress by Dorothy Perkins ($76.30, DorothyPerkins.com), which has half sleeves.

+ LEGGINGS

Left: Miley Cyrus on Oct. 4, Hilary Duff on June 10. Right: Leopard Leggings by HUE.

More interested in wearing printed bottoms? Let’s talk leopard legwear! Miley Cyrus was seen wearing a pair in Los Angeles recently, and Hilary Duff wore Rebecca Minkoff’s Beetle Juice Leopard Jeans hanging around Los Angeles as well. For leopard print pants, Hue makes a great pair ($25, BareNecessities.com) of leggings that are dark enough to wear with all your fall gem tones.

+ MARY JANE HEELS

Left: Kristin Cavallari on Aug. 4, Carey Mulligan on Sept. 13. Right: Leopard Leggings by HUE.

Plenty of celebs opted to use the print on their accessories. Kristin Cavallari and Carey Mulligan both wore the same pair of peep-toe Prada Mary Jane heels — Carey at the Toronto International Film Festival and The Hills star for a Kiehl's store grand opening in California. If you're craving sexy Pradas like these, try Pelle Moda's leopard Mary Janes ($160, FootNotesOnline.com).

+ BOOTIES

Left: Samantha Swetra on Sept. 11. Right: Fantasies Wedge Heel in Leopard Canvas by Maurie & Eve.

The City's Samantha Swetra went for a pair of sky-high Giuseppe Zanotti leopard wedge booties for Whitney Port's Whitney Eve spring 2011 fashion show. For fierce booties like Samantha's, splurge on the Fantasies Wedge Heel in Leopard Canvas by Maurie & Eve ($275, RevolveClothing.com), which features a cute lace-up tie.

+ PUMPS

Left: Kim Kardashian on Aug. 19. Right: Leopard Pump by Jessica Simpson.

Kim Kardashian is practically a pro when it comes to wearing leopard. That's why we loved her leopard Christian Louboutin platform pumps ... but not the hefty price the designer generally charges. So, for a cheaper and equally chic alternative, check out these platform pumps by Jessica Simpson ($97.95, Nordstrom.com).

+ CLUTCHES

Left: Jennifer Lopez on Sept. 10. Right: Hinge Frame Clutch by Kenneth Cole.
Photo:WireImage/Kenneth Cole

J. Lo’s supercute clutch is a great example of leopard looks in bag form. If you're looking for just a pop of print like J. Lo, then pick up Kenneth Cole Reaction's Hinge Frame Clutch ($34.99, Dillards.com), which looks pretty identical.

+ STRAP BAGS

Left: Kate Bosworth on July 20, Taylor Momsen on Oct. 6. Right: Crossbody Stud Chain Strap by JJ Winters.
Photo:WireImage/Getty Images/JJ Winters

But if it's a strap you need, take a cue from Kate Bosworth's Mulberry crossbody, and Taylor Momsen's top clasp bag, and try J.J. Winters' Crossbody Stud Chain Strap in Leopard ($85, RevolveClothing.com).

+ TIES

Left: Adam Lambert on June 20. Right: Tie by Sourpuss.
Photo:WireImage/Sourpuss

What about the guys? They love leopard, too! Adam Lambert proved there’s nothing wrong with letting your accessories run a little wild when he wore a skinny leopard print tie to the 2010 Annual Much Music Video Awards in Toronto. Want one for your man? We found a fierce option by Sourpuss ($6, SourPussClothing.com) — a steal at under $10!

Adrienne Bailon on October 12 and Kat DeLuna at the Carlos Miele fashion show on September 13.
Photo: WireImage/Getty Images

Adrienne Bailon and Kat DeLuna showed off their similar taste in clothes when both ladies wore an olive Lipsy London mesh dress ($80, Lipsy.co.uk) to recent events. Adrienne Bailon wore the strapless frock, which gathers at the waist, to the launch of MNG by Mango at JCPenney in New York last night, pairing it with black pumps and dangly earrings. Meanwhile, Kat DeLuna wore the dress last month to Carlos Miele's presentation during New York Fashion Week, and like Adrienne, also chose black pumps. Both ladies looked great in the mini, but we think Adrienne wore it best this round. Kat's bright orange nails and bold hoops were a bit much for the shift, while Adrienne's soft hair and sleek earrings complemented the dress just right. But what do you think?

+ Who this Lipsy dress best — Adrienne Baillon or Kat DeLuna?

Rihanna made the socks with heels trend work on all levels — with a calf-length print dress, with crazy booty shorts, and with a tutu — last week, and her schoolgirl style has us itching to steal the look. To get it right, keep your socks short (just an inch or two above your ankle) and bright. As for the shoes, try either pumps or Mary Janes and keep them basic and classic.
