New York Fashion Week may be a little over a month away, but here at MTV Style, we don't just keep an eye on women's ready-to-wear collections. We keep our sights glued on all countries, seasons, levels of craftsmanship, and genders for style inspiration. Thus, we're warming up our trendspotters with the men's fall/winter 2013 London Collections. Here are the unexpected trends we've spied from the week's dude fashion forecast.

Kanye West closed out 2012 with a pair of high fashion face masks for his Revel Atlantic City concerts. Judging from this week's offerings via Alexander McQueen and MAN, 2013 might be the year the casual face mask becomes (a little more) mainstream!

Wildfox Clueless

Wildfox channels 'Clueless' for Spring 2013.
Photo:via Wildfox

We love Wildfox Couture (duh). We love Clueless (even bigger duh). So when we heard firsthand a few months ago that the L.A. label, beloved by Beyonce and Katy alike, is taking cues from Amy Heckling's iconic '95 flick for its newest collection, we had a really, really tough time keeping this a secret. Luckily the cat's out of the bag, since the Wildfox girls have just unveiled the "Kids In America" Spring 2013 lookbook! And spoiler alert- it's cute. With Cher, Dionne, and yes, even Tai as muses, how could it not be? Seriously, just LOOK at the spot on re-enactment above. The '90s are back, people! But instead of Alaia, this time around it's all about Wildfox.

Miley Cyrus

First Beyonce, now Miley?! We said it once and we'll say it again: faux fashion tops are definitely having a moment. And don't think it's stopping in 2012, either...months after this clever repurposing of fashion brands first crossed our radar, the trend is still going strong. Just take Miley Cyrus, who rang in the holiday season with her family and pets, decked out in a sweatshirt that paid homage to both designer fashion AND furry friends. We all know that the pop star and actress is a total animal lover, so we can't really think of a better model for the Brian Lichtenberg "Feline Meow" sweatshirt, can you? Brilliant!

Whether you'll be sipping fizzy drinks under city lights, setting off sparklers at a beachside bonfire, or huddling up with a cozy group of friends in the great indoors, your New Year's Eve is likely to be a little chilly (to say the very least). Relatively speaking, if you're out, staying up past midnight in December (going on January), the temperature outside is just going to be colder than it is during your normal hours of operation — this is true no matter what coast, timezone, or line of latitude you'll occupy this New Year's Eve.

Nothing against the tried and true anorak or puffer coat you've been working all winter thus far, but this is a special night. Thus, you'll need a stylish coat or jacket to ring in 2013 looking cool and staying warm. Since the big night is right around the corner (and retailers are ALREADY starting to stock their shelves with spring collections *sound of price guns attaching winter clearance tags*), we've rounded up a few of our favorite outerwear options available right now. From luxurious faux furs and mod monochromatics to '90s-channeling downtown toppers and comfy coats fit for the Oregon Trail, there's something for almost every personal steez. Happy shopping!

A big furry coat is a great way to make a statement with outerwear — just ask Macklemore — which makes it kind of the perfect New Year's Eve jacket. Better yet, finding fashionable faux furs is easier than ever whether your taste is classic like this MINKPINK "Cruella Faux Fur Coat" from Urban Outfitters ($190.00), über-trendy like this "Ombre Faux Mongolian Fur Coat" from Topshop ($178.00), or funky like this "Longline Animal Fur Coat" with a cheetah print from ASOS ($140.72).

Demi Lovato, Britney Spears

Demi Lovato and Britney Spears go futuristic for "The X Factor" season finale.

Last night was the season finale of The X Factor, and while yea, it was great to see the One Direction boys (who are we kidding?? We were SALIVATING at their navy-on-navy mixed texture satin and jersey ensembles), we have to give a big hand to our GIRLS: Demi Lovato and Britney Spears. These ladies have been turning it OUT all season long. From Brit's bodycons to Demi's dabbling in bold brows, these two have made this a season of style and beauty DOMINATION. *'round the world snap* So you know they had to have one last trick of each of their sleeves come finale time. Both ladies capitalized on one of the runway's hottest trends: futuristic lines and mirror symmetry.

That Sh*t Cray tee by Michael Agwunobi.
via Michael Agwunobi

Thanks to brands like VFiles, C.O.I, and the OG fash-tee duo Deer Dana, snarky style tops have officially made the jump from the underground streetwear scene to the fashion-conscious masses. Hey, they're even getting love on the runways, popping up last season at Phillip Lim, Acne, and Ashish. It's a good thing you can never have too many t-shirts, because we've just discovered yet another take on the trend that we absolutely MUST add to our closets...immediately. Meet our latest design obsession, Michael Agwunobi, whose new collection of basic crewnecks is a winky ode to the "fashionization" of hip-hop (and vice versa). The Londoner has rolled out black, white, and gray tops inspired by that classic Comme Des Garcons "Play" design, but this time the slogan comes with a very Yeezy twist.

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber isn't exactly known for having a "safe" sense of style. From drop-crotch sweatpants to cat tank tops, The Biebs will find a way to experiment with fashion no matter the occasion. INCLUDING (as we discovered this weekend via Instagram) when meeting and receiving awards from esteemed government officials. That's right, folks. The image above depicts a one Mr. Justin Bieber clad in a backwards TI$A snapback, white t-shirt, chains, bright yellow sneakers, and *drumrollll* RAILROAD-STRIPED OVERALLS. And the guy next to him? That's Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper who just honored Biebs with one of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee Medals. The risky outfit caught a bit of fire in the blogosphere, but we can't say Bieber didn't see it coming.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry is really into floor-length florals lately.
Photo: Getty Images

Katy Perry has forged a fashion reputation of being predictably unpredictable. A quick mental ransacking of KP’s sartorial history recalls, among other things, spandex, HOTT pants, transient hair styles, cupcake purses, retro pin-up girl/Rosie the Riveter homages, a BATTERY PACK or two, and blizzards of sparkle, sprinkle, furbelow, and fluff. Despite the general glitterbomb that is Katy Perry's style evolution, we MIGHT *pump the brakes* be sensing a bit of a calm! As of late, the candy-coated "California Gurls" songstress has been committed to a slightly more refined, floor-length floral look. Not exactly business as usual, amirite?

Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning and Julianne Hough rock the bronze smoky eye look while promoting 'Twilight'.
Photo: Getty Images

Whew! Is anyone else tired from just LOOKING at the fashion whirldwind that is The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 press tour? It's only the beginning, and the film's stars have dozens of cities, even more outfit changes, and (presumably) very little sleep ahead of them. We're giving some serious props to K.Stew and co. for turning out- and looking great- each and every time. But while we've obviously been poring over their killer outfits, we think the actresses' beauty looks deserve a shoutout as well. Kristen, Dakota Fanning, and Julianne Hough have each sported their own versions of the bronze smoky eye, making the new twist on the classic look a certified Twilight red carpet trend. Let's take a closer look!

MinkPink and Urban Outfitters team up this holiday season.

The bad news: Halloween has officially come and gone, which means it's time to stash away our creepy, cool, and totally pop culture-relevant costumes for yet another year. But the good news is, there's another reason to dress up just around the corner. Yep, Christmakwanzakah season is coming up fast, and two of our favorite brands are here to make sure we hop on the holiday train early. Urban Outfitters and MinkPink have teamed up on a lust-worthy new campaign, complete with an equally adorable video. So if you're planning on re-wearing that same old dress from Winter Formal, like, YEARS ago, think again. Check out five holiday style lessons we've learned from the new collab, and prepare to get seriously inspired this coming season.

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
