Teen Wolf, Allison Argent

OK, so, last night's episode of Teen Wolf (the penultimate of season 3) was kinda insane, wouldn't you say? One of the characters we've known and loved since we were first introduced to Beacon Hills was killed, and I'm distraught. Allison (Crystal Reed) was the best—she was smart, a talented archer, and she could wear denim on denim. I'm not sure what Teen Wolf will be like post-Allison, but I can almost guarantee next week's finale is not going to be a happy one. In honor of Allison, let's take a look at her final Teen Wolf outfit.

Winter must've arrived in Beacon Hills, because all of a sudden everyone was wearing jackets. Stiles (the good one, not the evil one) was wearing a black pea coat, Lydia had on a light brown leather jacket, and Allison wore this Army green jacket. With its multiple pockets and paneled front, it's kind of like the cargo shorts of jackets, but Allison, of course, makes it #WERK.

Iggy Azalea, Charli XCX

Charli XCX and Iggy Azalea have been getting a lot of mileage out of their Clueless-themed video for “Fancy.” It’s easy to understand why, considering we’re still quoting the movie 19 years after its release and wishing we had Cher’s wardrobe. For their live Late Night With Seth Meyers performance of the song—which just broke onto Billboard’s Hot 100, sitting at #88—the pair brought out a third iteration of their Horowitz-approved ensembles.

You GUYS. Le1f made his national television debut last night on the Late Show With David Letterman, and we could NOT be more excited about it! The NY-based Greedhead MC performed his horn-speckled "Wut" track—a year-round banger in these parts of the interwebs—with gobs of choreography, a dancer on either side, and a backup band boasting Blood Orange/Dev Hynes. MAJOR. Oh, and also, he did it all in a full Hood by Air ensemble courtesy of Shayne Oliver himself. *brushes shoulders off*

Lady Gaga

As expected, Lady Gaga is in Austin at SXSW. Before her appearance on the Doritos #Boldstage, she hit up Jimmy Kimmel Live in a voluminous white dress and hat designed by Gareth Pugh. Oh, and they're both made from coffee filters. *pauses to allow you to process that information* Gaga revealed that in an attempt to "upcycle," she chose the dress and hat for her performance in Austin. Gee, I wonder where she got the idea to create her Austin wardrobe from household items? IDK, maybe these Doritos dress suggestions I offered last week? I see you, Gaga.

She and Jimmy discussed fashion (she got her flying dress at CVS, JK) and he inquired about her choices, and whether we'd ever see her in "Gap jeans" or "a nice pair of khakis." Ever the self-promoter, she told him to watch her performance because he might be in for a surprise. Did she dress like a Best Buy employee as Jimmy suggests? Did she wear a dress made from Doritos bags? Nah.

Veronica Mars

The many looks of Veronica Mars.

OK, Marshmallows, the fan-funded Veronica Mars movie is only a day away from theaters. Are you as excited/relieved as we are (impossible) that Veronica will finally be reunited with Logan, her one true love (sorry-not-sorry, Piz), as well as Wallace, Mac, Dick, and the rest of the Neptune Pirates?

Well, not so fast. First, let’s wallow in our nostalgia for creator Rob Thomas’ brilliant, short-lived series, which aired on UPN/The CW from 2004 until 2007 and starred Kristen Bell as a droll teenage detective trying to solve the murder of her best friend (Amanda Seyfried) in the small beach town of Neptune, California. The series ended after three seasons with things between Veronica and (obligatory-psychotic-jackass-turned-epic-love-interest) Logan (Jason Dohring) left tragically unresolved. The open-ended, unsatisfying finale only served to spur on a fandom that multiplied like gremlins in water over the six years since the series was yanked from the small screen, with the result being enough wallet-wielding followers that the proposed film version raised and surpassed its Kickstarter goal of $2 million within its first 11 hours, breaking records, causing aftershocks in pop culture, and becoming a cancelled-series fandom/crowd-funding legend.

And who could forget Veronica in those chunky Fluevog boots and military jackets? Or Logan's triumphant smoldering amid all that orange? Or Dick (Party Down's Ryan Hansen) rocking those smarmy statement tees? You’ve already seen the trailer, so you probably noticed how all growed up everybody is. Veronica is wearing black(!) pantsuits now, Mac (Tina Marjorino) has an awesome hair cut, and is that Logan looking perfectly at home in a fitted dress shirt? But before we swoon over the characters’ updated styles with the film’s costume designer, Genevieve Tyrrell, which we will do next week (so check back), we wanted to talk to the man who first put puka shells on Logan Echolls: series costume designer Salvador Perez (Pitch Perfect, The Mindy Project). “Rob created those characters, and he made them interesting, but I made them look cool,” says Perez. Indeed, and we have about 97 questions for him.

Teen Wolf

Kira and Allison on 'Teen Wolf.'

Umm, is everyone recovered from last night's Teen Wolf? Liiike, what is going on? Between all the blood, flies, and Stiles vomiting up used bandages, my eyes were closed for, like, 50% of the episode. Luckily they were wide open when Kira and Allison wore matching leather sleeves! Are they communicating telepathically now? Let's discuss.

First of all, how awesome were these two last night? Yeah, their jackets were on point, but also, uh, they helped save all these nogitsune-possessed men from themselves. Big up, Kira and Allison. Second of all, they both looked really good while doing so. It's not an easy task, but they managed AND triumphed!

You guys, there are only three episodes of Teen Wolf left this season! What will we do on Monday nights? Where will we find hair inspiration if not from Lydia? Who, besides Allison, will show us how to wear double denim? Where else will we be able to ogle Stiles? LOL, JK, Tumblr has us covered on that one. We can't be sad yet, though, because our faves are still in our lives for three more weeks, and Kira wore an outfit last night that we NEED to discuss. In full.

We've been keeping a close eye on Kira ever since she appeared in our lives for the first time earlier this season. She's worn superhero leggings and a lot of numbers, but her outfit in "The Fox and the Wolf" was relatively simple, yet included two different sets of stripes. It's not an easy look to pull off, but she nailed it. She also managed to repair a SWORD using her powers, so we know she's capable of supernatural feats.

If you haven't been following along with VH1's four-part roll out of Steve Stoute's The Tanning of America documentary, that's OK. The whole thing is streaming online now, so you can catch up. If you're not familiar with the premise of the doc or with Stoute's 2011 book of the same name, the mini-series aims to show hip-hop's evolution from infancy to its current mammoth cultural footprint, illuminating watershed moments in film, business, politics, and (our favorite) fashion along the way with commentary from prominent minds and voices like Rick Rubin, Russell Simmons, Diddy, Nas, and Mariah Carey.

The episodes span from the introduction of racial issues and themes on American television in the '70s (by way of shows like All in the Family and The Jeffersons) all the way to present day. The first episode boasts priceless footage of a young Rubin (sans beard!) fresh off of founding Def Jam Records with Russell Simmons as well as throwback clips of Run DMC in the studio, recording their version of "Walk This Way."

The tracksuit and dookie-chain-wearing trio from Queens is also responsible for the very first hip-hop fashion collaboration: Adidas' $1.5 million endorsement deal of Run DMC, thanks in large part to the group's influence in reviving the three-stripe Adidas shell toes.

Kanye West

Last night, Kanye West was a guest on the second episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers, and, as usual, he talked about fashion. What was unusual, at least according to the internet, was the tone with which he spoke. It was soft, and his notoriously unwieldy comparisons were (mostly) in check, seeming to better illustrate his point. The thing is, though, that what he said last night is, bare bones, the same stuff he's been saying for months. All he did was lower his voice.

On last night's Teen Wolf, most of our old friends were back together, teaming up to rob an armored truck. You know, just normal high school things. One friend who was MIA was Stiles, which is because he had committed himself to a mental institution so he couldn't kill/maim/deceive anyone else in Beacon Hills. So thoughtful, that Stiles.

The majority of the episode was focused on Stiles, who was surrounded by a sea of gray uniforms, but outside of the hospital's gates, we were treated to fleeting glimpses of fashion. Allison, for instance, flaunted her love for denim. She matched with Scott in double denim last season, but she upped the ante last night: triple denim (OK, not all at once).

At the beginning of the episode, she appeared in overalls, which is worthy of discussion in and of itself. Sure, overalls seem to always be making a ~comeback~, at least according to magazines and stores, but actually seeing them on a human's body IRL is a challenge. But Allison Argent breaks them out like NBD and wears them with a chambray shirt tied around her waist? She's chambray. This look is the new Canadian tuxedo, as far as I'm concerned. It's actually denim ON denim. And it's not the only time she wears the material in the episode!

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
