Nicki Minaj

As we all well know, Nicki Minaj decided to go no shirt, no bra, just jacket for her appearance on The Ellen Show, which airs this afternoon. The show posted a preview of Ellen's interview with her Minajesty and, though the clip is under two minutes, it provides a lot of insight into Nicki's style and fashion choices. Instead of willfully avoiding all eye contact as I would've done, Ellen engages Nicki and even offers her a bra of her own—so generous, that Ellen. Nicki then explains that she didn't wear a bra because she hates them. YOLO. A quick spin through Nicki's Instagram will confirm that, yes, she does hate bras and frequently does not wear them. Especially when she's wearing a jacket with no shirt on underneath. In the interview she doesn't mention shirts, but I guess she hates them too?

The blow of the end of this second season of The Newsroom is somewhat softened by its uncharacteristically happy ending (and teetering on the brink of the fall TV season *exhaaaaaaales*), but there are just no two ways around it: we're going to miss Neal Sampat (Dev Patel) and his elegant grandfather cardigan game.

Maybe we were too wrapped up in reacquainting ourselves with Aaron Sorkin's mile-a-minute dialogue in the first season, but this second season, we just couldn't help admiring the excellent layering job done by ACN's resident tech whiz kid and feeling like we needed to rethink that frumpy emergency "work cardigan" we leave draped on the backs of our desk chairs. (Oh, COME ON, you all have them!!)

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga performs on Good Morning America.
Photo: Good Morning America

Fresh off her big weekend at New York Fashion Week, Lady Gaga headed to Good Morning America to perform "Applause." At the VMAs we saw Gaga recreate the "Applause" video, but on GMA, she took a different approach and instead of playing different iterations of herself, dressed as characters from The Wizard Of Oz.

Rihanna is ready to rock.

Rihanna can now add "reality show producer" to her resume (a document which I'm not sure exists): her new show Styled to Rock will be hitting the Style Network on November 5th. Who better to discover the next big design talent than the rockstar herself? Oh, how about Pharrell Williams, model Erin Wasson, and Ri's stylist, Mel Ottenberg? Yeah, they'll def do.

teen wolf

Haley Webb as Julia Baccari, the Darach.

Oh. My. Gah. Teen Wolf is officially over (for now!), and we can barely wrap our minds around what just happened. We will say this much, though—the Darach's dress was out of control. I mean, a leather corset GOWN? On Teen Wolf? #dead Usually we stick to Scott, Allison, Stiles and Lydia's on-point outfits, but this week we got an extra special insight into the finale ensemble. Teen Wolf costume designer Barbara Vazquez told us ALL about how this specialty outfit came to be and what the (month long!) process behind creating such an intricate piece of clothing involved. "[Creator] Jeff [Davis] came in and said he had this idea and he started sketching. We tweaked it a little bit and agreed on it, and finally, came up with the finished product." Ooooh! But how was was it made?!

Lydia and Stiles in 'Teen Wolf.'

OK guys, so we know that there's a lot of drama going on at Beacon Hills High School. Packs are feuding, and we were left with a MAJOR cliffhanger at the end of tonight's episode of Teen Wolf (To Be Continued are the worst three words on a television screen am I right?), but we're going to focus on the juicy plot points because... Lydia and Stiles finally kissed! *SQUEALS* Stiles has always fawned over Lydia, so we loved seeing the twosome in a heart-warming lip lock. In honor of the monumental occasion, we can't help but dissect their perfect style as a potential couple!

Stussy Yo! MTV Raps

The Stussy x Yo! MTV Raps collaboration.
Photo: Stussy

This month 25 years ago, a little show called "Yo! MTV Raps" premiered on the very network we call home. It revolutionized rap and the landscape of music in general, catapulting what was once an underground genre intro the public televised eye. Since then, the widespread awareness and popularity of rap has escalated, and its pop culture footprint—influencing music, style, language, and more—only continues to grow. The show's run may have ended in 1995, but its role as a catalyst for the dissemination of rap to the masses is an undeniable one. In honor of the 25th anniversary of "Yo! MTV Raps," Stüssy has released a collaborative collection featuring 10 influential artists from the show's run.

Stiles in 'Teen Wolf.'

We'll be honest—we can never get enough of Stiles' layered tee ensembles on Teen Wolf. Sure, Dylan O'Brien rocks simply chic looks IRL, but costume designer Barbara Vazquez styles Stiles (hehe) in goofy tees as an homage to the original '80s film for the show. She told us, "If you’ll notice, Stiles, you see him wearing a T-shirt with something ridiculous on it, or has a funny image, which is what the original styles had in the original movie." Ahhh, now it all makes sense! This week, Stiles stayed true to his go-to layered graphic tee and plaid shirt ensemble, but opted for a summery surfer ringer tee with a navy blue plaid button-up thrown on top.

Allison in 'Teen Wolf.'

It's rare that we talk about legwear here on our weekly Teen Wolf style star recap, but we just COULDN'T resist mentioning Allison's on-point gam game. (Whew, try saying that ten times fast.) Let's start from the top, shall we? At a glance, it looks like our girl is copping a pretty tame ensemble--a long-sleeve gray skater dress with a light brown, double-buckled wide belt, loose layered waves and no sign of any flashy accessories. But, as the camera pans down, we get to peep her KILLER white fishnets complete with knee-high printed socks and tall wedge boots. #WERK
