There are a lot of home beauty tricks and remedies out there, but how do you know which ones are worth trying and which are a big ol' waste-o-time? (That's a cool expression, right?) Don't worry my friends, I have tested some out for you, in hopes of saving you energy and personal disaster. So, you're welcome.

I have to admit, I'm skeptical about home remedies. It's not that I think they don't work. A lot do. For example, when my mom was a teen she used to put mayo in her hair overnight to condition it. You should see some old photos of her—real nice hair. Realistically, I just don't think I'm gonna whip up an avocado callus softener when I can whip up some guacamole instead and just buy the avocado callus softener. Also, I don't cover anything about avocado callus softeners in this video.

If you've ever wanted an idea of what it's like to go shopping with Fifth Harmony, you're in luck. While last summer we followed the ladies shopping for themselves before their first VMAs, they've recently shared their shopping skills with a fan, and we were there to see it all go down. We also sat down with the ladies to talk about their style icons, and they're more disparate than you might think!

Hi. I'm Annamarie Tendler, and I love eyelashes. Well, let me be clearer, I love glamorous eyelashes—like Audrey Hepburn's, or Sophia Loren's, or Kim Kardashian's. My own lashes are very straight however, so to get remotely close to having the lashes of my dreams I require an eyelash curler, false lashes, and oh, like, 10 coats of the darkest mascara I can find. When I was in my teens and early 20s I was down to partake in this over-the-top beauty regimen almost daily, but now that I'm fast approaching 29 (someone explain to me how this happened) I'm simply too busy to go through all these steps just for thicker lashes. I am also very lazy.

Imagine my overwhelming glee when a friend told me about eyelash extensions. "So, you're telling me," I said, "for a couple hundred dollars I can go have some lady glue false, silk lashes onto my own lashes, and it will look completely natural AND last for months?!"

"Yes," she said. "That's literally what I just said to you."

The 2014 Woodie Awards are mere HOURS away. Who will win the Cover Woodie? What will Iggy Azalea's modified yellow Cher Horowitz suit look like in motion? We'll have answers to these and more important questions soon. We might not want to wait, but the fact is: We have no choice. So to bide time until the big show at 8 p.m. EST tonight, peep our backstage interviews with this year's Woodies performers. You'll hear Iggy talk about never wearing pants onstage and what she does when clothes mysteriously appear in her suitcases, the 1975 reveal the brands and stores that contribute to their "black and expensive" wardrobe, and which Woodies performer describes his personal style as "a nine-year-old who was allowed to dress themself [sic] for the first time." Enjoy!

Little Mix on 'MTV Live!'

MIXERS! Are you out there? Are you breathing? (If not, please have someone check your pulse.) Are you still spinning from Little Mix's whirlwind, 30-minute "Live From MTV" special? Because we are! Yesterday, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock (aka Little Mix) all sat down with MTV for some fun, games, and a lot of juicy dish.

Along with their X Factor buddies, Fifth Harmony, the UK girl group has spent the last month opening for Demi Lovato's Neon Lights tour, and as expected, there was plenty of behind-the-scenes girl talk to tell. For example: What did they all think when Demi shaved the side of her head??? OBVIOUSLY, the general consensus was something along the lines of "she looks SO hot." Duh.

As a proud lifelong brunette, I'd never discredit my tonsorial sisters by saying blondes have more fun. HOWEVER, when it comes to New York Fashion Week shows, The Blonds definitely have more fun than anyone else. The dynamic duo of David and Phillipe Blond always seems to find inspiration in the most unlikely of places, and in less-capable hands, off-the-wall ideas like theirs have the distinct potential to fall really really flat (spoiler alert: They never do, though, because these two are rhinestone-swaddled geniuses). Their collections—and accordingly, their shows—are always campy but never corny, forever nailing the exact frequency of BANANAS. For Fall 2014 they looked to Gotham City—more specifically, Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer) circa Tim Burton's Batman Returns.

Hey, remember how the biggest conversation in the weeks leading up to this season of New York Fashion Week was about how the whole enterprise was starting to feel a bit like a circus? There was talk of designers pulling out of the traditional tents/Lincoln Center situation and turning toward smaller, more intimate (and more spread out) venues, and that Alexander Wang might even move his presentation all the way out to *GASP* Brooklyn! Well, it happened. All of it. And while we agree that NYFW, as it exists, begs to be disrupted, this week, we turned toward the eye of the storm and walked straight into the zoo. OK, a zoo. A gathering of animals, at the very least? We went to the New York Pet Fashion Show. And, BTW, (HAI, HATERZ) it was THE BEST.

There are a few things you can always expect from a Christian Siriano show: drama that's well-balanced with wearability, meticulous attention to construction, and highbrow inspiration. The Fall 2014 collection he debuted at New York Fashion Week is absolutely no exception, hitting each note with even more masterful precision than in previous seasons. We were lucky enough to catch up with Siriano backstage just before his show, where he revealed his muse and gave us a peek at his thought process when developing a collection.

After the final performance got cut off by the closing credits, after everyone stopped wondering if there was some sort of safety net to catch Pink if she fell from those strings in the air (but seriously, was there?), after Pharrell ran out of things to say on behalf of Daft Punk—there were still a few very *ACHEM* VERY important honors to be handed out. The fashion awards, OBVIOUSLY.

If it were left up to just us, Skateboard P.'s giant Arby's hat would have taken home ALL the awards, so instead, we teamed up with MTV News and put together an expert panel to break down the best and worst looks of the night. Our very own Gaby Wilson repped Team Style and Christina Garibaldi reported for News, alongside US Weekly Fashion Police contributor Chelsea White and #shehashadit blogger (and MTV Style contributor) Jarvis Derrell.

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber and his mustache in the trailer for 'Believe.'

In case you missed the widely circulated memo, Justin Bieber's new movie, Believe, is coming out Christmas Day. If you are not a hardcore Belieber, I would avoid going to the movies that day, because it's been three years since the release of Never Say Never, and the Beliebers are HUNGRY for more. A lot has changed since 2011, when bb Biebs had hair that swooped, a hairless face, and no tattoos. Now Biebs has a half-sleeve, a 'do that goes up rather than over, and what has become known as a "dirty 'stache."

In case you haven't watched the new trailer for Believe, I'll fill you in: Bieber decided to keep his tiny, sparse mustache for the movie's interview, where he gets #real and talks about everything that he's gone through in the past year, from attacking the paparazzi to falling in love. MTV was lucky enough to speak with Jon M. Chu, the movie's director, about the 'stache and how it ended up fitting in with the story's arc.

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
